Panasonic NN-SN952S Stainless 1250W 2 – It is a nice large size for cooking bigger items

I absolutely love this microwave. This has the same wattage as my old microwave that it replaced, however it seems to heat things much more quickly and more evenly than my old one. Maybe that’s due to the ‘inverter technology’, who knows. All i know is that i no longer have to stop the microwave half way through to stir things, and i don’t end up with the middle of the food being cold. It’s also very quiet, or at least compared to my old sharp it is (that was only 5 years old, so not an antique or anything). I had previously ordered the newer model of this microwave (nn-se982s) which has dials instead of flat button, and i absolutely hated it. I promptly returned it and ordered this one instead. The knobs on the other one took too much effort to get the correct time and power level settings, it’s so much easier to just push 3 buttons (i,e: 1,3,0 for 1:30, instead of turning the knob back & forth until you hit exactly 1:30). And that one was also a pain to clean with the knob and the little buttons, because crud would get caught in the small gap between the knob/buttons and the stainless face. This one has a completely flat surface which wipes clean in 2 seconds.

This is almost exactly like the last panasonic microwave i had that lasted over ten years. Same size, i love how large it is and how well the defrost works, and i’m hoping this one will last as long. Best microwave on the market if you ask me.

I have had the microwave for a while now and it works beautifully. I had the olfer version of this model and it worked well for 8 years. Im hoping this new microwave does the same.

Also, it doesn’t take up much more space than my old small one. Looks great and easy to use.

Thanks for a quality product. It is a nice large size for cooking bigger items. I would buy from this seller again.

This replaced one i had that was just over four years old that the door latches broke on. Okay, 4 yrs old and the door latches break?. Yeah but i use mine 4-6 times a day every day of the week. That’s more than 51,000 opening and closings and some of them were a little rough when i was handling hot dishes. I have no complaints, this thing cooks quickly and is huge, it’ll easily cook a turkey.

  • A good Buy
  • Very Pleased with Purchase
  • Second onestill live it

I never had microwave like this, so amazing, also shipping and handling was excellent.

This microwave is wonderful. However, there are a few things that i would love to tweak if i was to make it my dream unit. First the led numbers are small, light and slim. Not the best for those vision impaired. Second, the time delayed mode needs one to program how long before it needs to begin. It is much easier for one to program the ‘done time’ and let the unit to the figuring for you. Lastly, the five beeps when it is done is over kill. Three would be much better even if the sound isn’t obnoxious. The sensor reheat program is great. You can even, at a single touch, add or subtract twenty or so seconds from when the unit thinks it is done for those wanting hotter or warmer foods.

This is a great microwave oven and is reasonably priced. Operation is fairly intuitive.

Has been a good edition to our kitchen. It has been working great as compared to our previous microwave, and at half the cost. Good polished surfaces and matched our other appliances.

I like this ovens inverter way of providing cooking power, where the oven power level is continuous and not cycling off and on. Does a great job of softening a cold stick of butter evenly, where my old panasonic would be melting the outside and the inside would still be hard. Same for a patty of meat where the edges are cooked evenly with the center, verses burnt edges with the old microwave. What i do not like is the control panel keys. Some respond with a light touch and others need to be pushed so hard that it moves the oven over the counter-top. In low light conditions one cannot see the writing on the keys. The digital display is also difficult to view at an angle. I think the people that designed this panel should be working in some other field. I like that it runs quietly but i don’t like the quiet little squeak at shutdown. These engineers apparently have not used a microwave or these kind of faults wouldn’t exist.

With the continuous, linear output of Inverter, not only will your food be easily and quickly prepared, you can confidently cook, and even poach, braise and steam foods to perfection. Just as important, the essential vitamins and nutrients you expect in all your meals will be retained.

Great Cooking, No Guesswork

With one-touch sensor cook and reheat, Panasonic takes the guesswork out of creating great meals by automatically setting power levels and adjusting cooking, defrosting and reheating times. The sensor automatically measures the amount of steam naturally produced during cooking and signals the oven’s advanced microprocessor to instantly calculate the remaining cooking time at any power level for optimum results.

Sensor Inverter Turbo Defrost

The microwave oven is also designed with Turbo Defrost to help prepare food more efficiently than any Panasonic microwave before it. This advanced feature utilizes a microwave sequencing system based on Inverter’s continuous-power delivery method to thaw foods more evenly and quickly.

Sleek Controls

A sleek, silver button control panel, precision dial and four-digit display provide a high-end look. And 12 preset menu options provide everyday convenience for hot cereals and omelets, frozen after-school snacks, vegetables, frozen dinners, pasta, fish and more. Controls and sensors automatically set power levels, monitor and cooking time and when done, keep foods warm until ready to serve.

Keep Warm Feature

Keep foods like vegetables, soups, hors d’oeuvres, gravies, sauces and desserts warm and delicious in the oven until they’re ready to serve. The microwave delivers a pulsing, automatic stream of low microwave power to maintain constant temperature levels in foods without overcooking.

More Conveniences

More everyday advantages include a quick-minute timer that lets you set cooking and reheating times in single-minute intervals, or add another minute when needed. And a handy delay start feature and bright, time-of-day clock and versatile timer provide additional convenience. For safety, a child safety lock is also included to keep young hands from operating the oven.

Maximum Interior, Minimal Footprint

The smart, compact design of the Inverter power unit devotes less space to electronics and controls and far more to interior capacity. These smaller, more efficient energy and control units are also up to eight pounds lighter than conventional microwave components. All of which adds up to less weight and a minimal exterior footprint when placed on a counter.

Built-In Trim Kits

If you prefer your microwave built into a new or existing wall or cabinet, Panasonic offers optional matching trim kits created specifically for the built-in model and size you choose. Precision manufactured to enhance the look and fit of your microwave, and the décor of your kitchen, this stylish trim kit will keep its quality and beauty for years to come.

Absolutely love this microwave. I had a bosch microwave and it was an absolute piece of junk. I bought a little panasonic microwave back in 1997 and i have used it since then at different times as a primary microwave and as a back up. So when the bosch junk died, i had to break out the little panasonic to use in the kitchen. Why not just buy a new bigger and modern panasonic microwave. It works great and the door doesn’t need to be slammed shut. It heats very evenly and this thing is powerful. One of the best purchases i’ve ever made. It brings a smile on my face every time i use it.

Lots of room and very quiet when running.

I am very pleased with this item. It cooks quite fast and is very quiet. It looks great and fit perfectly on our counter top in the kitchen. We use it every day and have no problems with it. I would highly recommend this microwave to my friends and family.

Nice large size and food comes out warmed evenly throughout. Don’t know how i managed without the sensor cooking. You can’t go wrong with this one.

My husband and i had two qualifications for the microwave we were about to purchase. It had to accommodate a large casserole and it had to be easy to use. This panasonic met our needs. In addition, it had a revolving turntable and a manual that was understandable. We are very pleased with it and we use it daily for cooking as well as for heating leftovers.

Luxury full-size, 2.2 cu. ft.

Extremely happy with this microwave. Fits large casserole dishes. Heats evenly when you follow directions.

Product received in working order. This is identical to the microwave we were replacing.

It heats things up real fast.

Just stated using this product – so fair works well – no compaints. Nice design with clean lines.

Bought this to replace my aging 20 yo microwave. Amazon was not able to procure any after 3 months to meet my request so ordered from a 3rd party seller (beach audio) listed on amazon. Had the microwave within 3 days. The only downside is that had to fork over an extra $50. . But it now is doing it’s job spectacularly.

Can’t turn off annoying beeps and the clock display is to dim to see across the kitchen. Our old panasonic was far superior to this one and cost half.

Genius microprocessor microwave automatically sets power levels and adjusts cooking time by measuring amount of steam produced during cooking

This item was purchased to use in a restaurant environment and it’s been wonderful to work with, even after a year of pretty much continuous use it still works like a charm.

Tell it how long and hit start. 5 simple beeps when done and you can just let it rest, no endless reminder beeps. 9 x 13 glass pan easily fits. My only concern is buttons could be a little more sensitive.

I replaced a very expensive advantium convection microwave that has been nothing but trouble with this microwave and the matching surround for it about a year ago. The microwave works beautifully, especially the sensor cooking and reheating. I would like it better if it had a handle on the door so that people are less likely to slam the door — this model has some known issues with the plastic door catches breaking which is probably caused by slamming. So, if your family cannot be trained to gently push the door closed, this might not be the unit for you.

Nice unit, will see if the installation kit was worth almost the cost of the unit.

Worked as expected right out of the box. Is much more powerful than my old panasonic microwave.

I bought this to replace a built-in thermador stainless steel that costs almost 5 times more and it was an exact fit. Thermador unit is also made by panasonic. It is amazing how they jack up the price for the same unit when it is labeled thermador or vikings. Those big and fancy name brands.

This microwave works flawlessly and easy to clean. Most importantly, it is a beautiful addition to my kitchen. Thought it might be too big, but the relatively low profile disguises the ample space within.

Inverter Technology delivers consistent energy allowing delicate foods to simmer without edges and surfaces overcooking

This microwave oven was received on june 30, 2015 with a defective display. The numbers on the display were very dim. The only way to read the display was to move approximately 6 feet away and stoop down so that the eye level matched the display numbers, e. The second digit on the display was so dim it was almost impossible to read at all. Kind of a shame because the oven itself seemed to have all the features we were looking for in a replacement product for out old 35 year old (faithful) panasonic microwave.

It is everything we expected based on the description and reviews. Have not had a problem with the door as some have complained about. We use it multiple times per day.

Despite reading lots other panasonic microwave reviews telling of issues with the door latch and short lifespan, i was drawn to the inverter design and the sensor cooking in the panasonic. After much debate, i settled on model nn-sn952s, and purchased a 3-yr extended warranty plan. This is a very nice microwave, it looks sharp and is easy to use. It is also quiet (compared to our tiny old microwave). I really like the sensor reheat function. This one was made in january 2015, hopefully panasonic has all the bugs worked out. A few notes about this unit: 1. The serial number is inside the door frame, on the right side nearest the control panel- not on the back as the warranty card suggests. Only the front part is actually stainless; the top and sides are a sparkly silver stainless colored paint.

Haven’t had it long, but it’s great so far. I have owned two other panasonic genius microwaves over the past 40 years and i got about 20 years of service out of each one. Hope this one has the same track record.

This microwave was larger than i thought it was going to be but it’s a good one. I love the added space for larger bowls. It cooks so much faster than the one i had before. And ladies, get some help lifting it up on the cabinet, it’s heavy. Glad i made the right choice with this microwave.

It’s easy to use & i really like the sensor cook option.

1-touch sensor cook and sensor reheat features

This microwave has all the bells and whistles. Saves her time in many ways. Me i just use for quick cooks but it does that well.
