Panasonic NN-SD972S Stainless 1250W 2, Great power, features and price

Best microwave replaced a $600 dacor.

This is a quality microwave and looks great. I’ve been using it for two months now without issue. The pros for me were it fit an existing opening very close to perfectly, it looks nice, and it has a more than adequate capacity. The sensor cooking function is well done overall; i’ve found it useful for most reheated meals but it does tend to over cook popcorn. As far as cons go, i’d say i prefer the functionality of a whirlpool over-the-range unit i had in a past kitchen–the spinning dial to set the time is intuitive and novel, but i prefer the old fashioned digit pad. I could do without the reflective coating on the door, but it’s not a huge issue either. I wish the clock was larger and visible from a wider angle (part of this is my kitchens setup but the display also had a somewhat reflective quality to it). I also may be the only person with this complaint but i preferred the reminder beep for items i’ve left in the microwave. This unit simply resets back to its normal clock screen once it’s done cooking, and there’s been times i’ve left things in there for a while (i’m not much of a cook and frequently prepare meals for one). All that said, it’s perfectly functional and the price wasn’t bad for the options provided.

Nice but liked my older model better as it had text plus number readout for sensor cook.

“Fills my needs perfectly
, Well Worth The Price!

This microwave was purchased to replace the panasonic microwave we had for over 10 years. We love the dial to set the timer. It is a large model but we already had a built in shelf that accommodated it nicely. Very happy with its performance and love the sensor cooking option. Before we figured out the timer dial, i used the sensor reheat and sensor cook exclusively. Sometimes the food was just a smidge too hot. Waiting a minute or two solved the too hot dilemma. I would purchase this item again.

I had the previous version of this, so i was married to the dimensions due to the built in, etc. Only knock is the red readout is impossible to see during the day. Old one had superior blue readout.

Works great and good looks also.

We had the previous version of this microwave and loved it. After about 7 years, however, it seemed to loose a bit of power. This microwave oven is beautiful and the versatility of cooking methods is outstanding. We re-heat a cup of coffee in less than half the time required by the previous version (30-40 seconds versus 1. The knob to specify the time is very satisfying as compared to pushing a bunch of buttons. The latch to open the door works very smoothly. All-in-all this is a piece of art sitting in our kitchen.

Microwave looks nice but the door switch (which allows microwave to run once closed) tends to break over time. The microwave also leaks enough rf energy to interfere severely with nearby wifi and bluetooth devices.

It is very well built and big enough to cook and make meals in.

This was a christmas, last year. The product was too big and they sent it back.

Fantastic way to go panasonic. I own an eleven hundred watt nukro wave unit. Still this one with an even dozen hundred watts.

Great for the price, lost one star because i have to press the open button hard for the door to spring open. Maybe its just the one i bought, but if that didn’t happen, it would be 4 stars, maybe even 5.

Very roomy interior, yet outer dimensions are surprisingly small. Works great and it’s easy to keep clean.

The installation manual that came with the built-in cabinet dress panel can use significant improvement.

I am quite happy with this microwave. It’s very easy to use and has a lot of features. I read all the reviews and a few complained about the door button not holding up. It’s a push-button opener and i think people have been jamming their finger in it hard to open it. It opens with a light touch and i haven’t had any problems. (we use if a number of times a day). The design is sleek and looks good with other stainless appliances.

Have had this item for about 2 weeks. It’s a beast & works great so far.

My first micro was an amana by raytheon made in the usa. My second micro was a panasonic just like this one. We’ll see how long this second panasonic one lasts.

We had our previous microwave for 10 years and were sad when it broke. We bought this one to replace it. We are a large family and use it on a regular basis. Everyday – easily 15-20 times a day. Have had this microwave for a little over a month and we love it. It is much more powerful than our old one, so it took a little getting used to. The preset buttons are extremely handy. I was a bit concerned about the dial for setting the time, but it works great and is super easy to use.

This microwave is a bit pricey, but worth it. It took me a while to get used to the controls. It uses a dial for most settings. Now that i have learned the controls, i love it.

Works well replaced an $1800 unit with this and the built in kit.

Great, strong, powerful microwave. I was a little worried because i normally don’t buy buy appliances online. I like to see what i’m really getting but i have to say that i am very happy with this microwave. It works absolutely great and is very strong. The only complaint is have is that you can’t use the microwave and timer at the same time. This was something i’d do all the time with my old microwave. The only other thing would be that when it beeps to let you know your food is ready it only beeps once and that’s it. My old microwave would beep multiple times if you didn’t open the microwave door as a reminder. Those are just two small complaints. I’d still buy this even if i knew this before.

Typical panasonic microwave – better and lasts longer than all the rest.

Works well, but the fit and finish of panasonic microwave ovens is going downhill. This is the third one we’ve had.

Immaculate piece of equipment from the warehouse deals listing. The microwave is simple to use and elegant to look at. This is my third panasonic and i’ve never been disappointed in their performance,.
