Hamilton Beach Toaster 2 Sl Toastation : Great size

Bought for the office, great product two in one appliances.

Its a little small but its toast your bread fast, however you must stick around because when the bread pops up it actually fly up high in the air so you have to catch it otherwise it may land where you don’t want it to.

The unit looks good on the counter. That was concern #1 of the wife. It toasts fairly well, however it takes a setting of nearly 5 on the 1-6 scale to get a decent toasting for sourdough bread. Haven’t tried wheat or white yet. Wife and son baked some refrigerator cookies on the oven tray which they said turned out fine. One issue is that the oven does not shut off when it reaches the temp set on the thermostat. Since there’s no timer, baking anything entails constant observation, with an external timer set, to monitor progress. The oven pan is very difficult to persuade to sit level; i don’t know if that’s a flaw or just operator error. The oven does heat and bake very quickly; i suppose that’s a point in its favor. My three star rating reflects a downgrade for the thermostat, the baking pan, and for the high toast setting needed.

I really love the size of this, great toaster but the oven is really limited. I expected it to be small but the heat element is above tray and burns most items quickly.

  • Save on counter space with this two-in-one appliance.
  • Product Dimensions: 16 x 9 x 8 inches ; 8.7 pounds
  • The unit functions as both a traditional toaster and as a toaster oven
  • As a toaster, it provides a 1-1/2-inch-wide toasting slot that can fit up to two slices of bread
  • two frozen waffles, or two halves of a bagel or English muffin.

I sent this to my husband who lives in an apartment andwanted a toaster. This seemed to add to the idea ofjust having a toaster. He called me and told me it workswell.

I have a small kitchen with little counter space. This works great as both a toaster and toaster oven. I love it and am very gladi purchased it. Also arrived in a timely manner.

I have always missed toast from a toaster. It is wonderful to have the convenience of a toaster oven and toast that cooks perfectly. The oven arrived in great condition and in a timely manner.

Unlike a typical toaster-oven, this one is primarily a toaster and an oven of thin food. I really like that it toasts far quicker than all other [many] toaster-ovens i had, it is hard to tell from the photo, but the oven cavity is narrow and shallow. It barely holds one pizza slice. In fact pizza crust is often too high and can get burnt. Yep, the heating element is that close. The top cover slides open for toasting, and it closes for oven use. It works very well as long as the size is understood. The only shortcoming for my need is that it has no timer to shut-off the oven.

A timer would be nice but i have a timer on my stove so i just use it. Small for my very small kitchen. I’ve reheated pizza and it did a great job.

Great toaster and toaster oven- i love it’s compact size and it looks great. It is perfect for eggos and toast, as well as heating up leftover pizza and chicken nuggets for the kids. User friendly so it’s easy for my 9 year old to use.

If you enjoy your morning bagels this is a must. I’ve had many but this one looks like it is built to last.

I originally bought this back in 2006 to use at the office because we wanted to toast english muffins and bagels. The old toaster at the office really sucked. This was perfect and i used it until 2009 where i left the job and took it back with me. It then sat in my closet for 2 years. Finally bought my own place and this unit is still working like a charm. The only thing that i don’t like is the fact that i feel like i am out growing the small size. Works great but i want something bigger now. If only they made a toastaion 4 slice or something. I’ve never had any thing turn out bad with this device. I normally melt the cheese for my sandwhich, muffins, bagels, toast bread, reheat pizza, and some fries and chicken nuggets and that is about it.

Prompt shipping, great product.

This combo toaster oven and conventional toaster is great. I had one like this on loan for a while. Since it went back to the owner, i will have to get one for myself soon.

Far better for toasting than a conventional toaster oven. Compact size and quick heat up time are definate advantages.

I love that i only have to have one appliance on my counter that works like two. I would have loved having the double toaster portion, but couldn’t find it anywhere.

We rented a house for a vacation and this was the toaster they had. It is wide enough for large slices of bread or bagels. The toaster oven is also quite big to warm up food for one. We don’t use micro wave ovens as they are detrimental to your health so this is perfect to warm up a portion.

Toaster oven works well but toaster function is not great. Some toast has even fallen down in the toaster and it toasts unevenly.

The best toaster oven i’ve had; and i’ve gone through several. My only complaint about this one is that a tall slice of bread sticks out the top. So when i have a too-tall slice, i cut it in half and insert the halves side-by-side.

It’s a good product because this product have toaster and oven together. However, the disadvantage of this product is there is no timer. You have to get another timer if baking something.

Nice construction, works well.

I mainly got this to heat and reheat my girls food. Rather then using the microwave. Its small and compact but fits in most food that i need to heat. The only down fall is yes i would love some more height and a timer. But i use my oven timer so its ok.

Sensio Bella 13579 Fluted Cake Maker : pound cakes work great

I have been very happy with my sensio bella fluted cake maker. It has been fun to have these delicious little cakes that turn out perfect every time. I followed the instructions given by another reviewer and mixed 1 box of angel food cake mix with 1 box of regular cake mix and it worked much better. They were light and airy, perfect for filling with jam and whipped cream or just dusting with powdered sugar. This was a thumb’s up purchase for me. It arrived in good condition and on time. I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a quick and easy way to make a sensational little dessert with little or no mess. Make sure you spray it with pam baking or another baking spray first. They pop out perfect each and every time. My grandchildren love these little cakes and can even help make them because it is so easy to do.

I just recently purchased this product and i love, love, love it. I used a pillsbury bundt cake mix and the cakes turned out absolutely perfect in no time. : they are just the perfect size. ]

I just bought this cake machine and we used for the first time today. The chocolate cake was ready in five minutes. It’s so simple to use and the kids loved the design of the cakes.

Still works and does a great job. I don’t bother to use to book. I get cake mix and is all you need.

Okay, i am not sure why anyone would make cakes or donuts from scratch, using these little cake makers. But i noticed a lot of people were disappointed in the recipes. Try this awesome quicky recipe, and just keep the mix on hand in a tupperware container. Use one box of angel food cake mix, and one box of any other cake mix–it can be super moist, regular, even the sugar free mix i tried is great. Blend the two dry mixes in a bowl till completely mixed. When you are ready to bake, just mix 3 parts mix with 2 parts water, and mix for about 2 minutes till smooth and the right thickness for a cake batter. (adjust the water if necessary). I also add unsweetened coconut, mini chocolate or white chocolate chips, sprinkles (for confetti color), etc.

Sensio Bella 13579 Fluted Cake Maker : But it would have been nice to have the cook book. It was supposedly in original wrap and styrofoam, never been taken from box.

Got it to use with my toddler, who loves it. Haven’t tried any of the recipes in the booklet, but used a simple chocolate cake mix, threw in some blueberries, and. One cake mix made 15 little cakes in about the same time it would have taken to bake a full cake. We used a timer (fun for the toddler and easier for him to wait)but i could tell when they were done by the cooked cake smell. Once you smell that, just pop them out. Excellent purchase, and good price.

I bought this for my daughter to use in the summer when we want cake but not to heat the entire kitchen with the oven. Cake maker works well with any recipe but be sure that after you fill the cups, turn the entire unit upside down to prevent scorching the decorative tops and undercooking the middle/bottom. Doing it this way ensures perfect cakes in about 7-8 minutes. Also, be sure to use a silicone pastry brush to brush oil on every time you fill the cups to prevent sticking. If your batter is runny and you work really fast, you may be able to just pour it into the cups and not need to flip unit upside down. Sensio’s helpline is useless. Be sure to fill all the cups ie. Always bake 5 cakes/baking cycle. If you have runny batter, you can probably just fill an empty cup with some water, but if you have to spoon the batter in (which takes time), i would make smaller cakes and still flip the unit over, maybe after a minute or two so that the decorative top will cook and set up enough. I haven’t tried the recipes in the booklet – how useless to say ‘one box of cake mix’.

Hellothank you, it was good product.

Sensia fluted cake maker, i love it the cakes are nice and fluffy , very elegant, worth your money, great for breakfast or desserts.

This is a robustly made unit and has been working great. We typically use it for a ‘special’ weekend breakfast once a month. I suggest using your favorite muffin mix and augment as you desire. The only negative is that the molds that don’t have the center indent sometimes don’t cook the dough all the way when the outside is clearly done. When this happens we simply microwave those cakes for 30 seconds and they are fine. If the unit had a temperature control this might be avoidable but, alas, it does not.

Absolutelly great, all the recipes works perfect, i can save time and energy and always get a well cooked cake : ).

I have used mine making a regular pound cake recipe. My husband and i have to watch our weight so these little cakes work out fine. I make up a whole batch and put in the freezer taking out one each at a time. Keeps us from over indulging. I did have a problem with the decorative tops getting a little too brown but after burning the first batch the rest came out fine. I’ll be trying the flip it over tip another reviewer posted. I have to agree also that the booklet wasn’t a lot of help. I would have rated it higher if the booklet had been a little bit more informative. Also i have to agree it would be nice if the inserts would come out and go in the dishwasher.

This cool little baker makes me a few pieces of cake whenever i want. I love it, and an would recommend it,.

We were all so excited waiting for this to arrive and it has not disappointed. I think we’ve used it everyday. My 11 year-old son convinced his 19 year-old brother to take him to the store where he spent almost $100 on cake mixes. Definitely something he can use safely, successfully, unsupervised. Every mix he’s tried so far has been amazing, including gluten free and brownies. He’s been using non-stop spray, placed the baker on a cooking sheet to prevent mess from spillage and is sure to unplug between batches. The cakes are so detailed and beautiful, about the size of a cake donut. We’re going to get a lot of use from this, keep all the kids happy when bored over the summer.

My grandkids just love them. I even got my 83 year old mother to eat some and she does not like sweets.

Benriner BR7 VEGETABLE SLICER, Great Spiralizer!

This slicer works fine for slicing vegetables. Softer items like zucchini need to use the larger blades as they can break apart if you try to force them through the fine blade. The cook helper works best if the item to be processed is straight, centered between the spike/holder, you use a good bit of downward force (mine flexes slightly when i spin the handle), and it is kept spinning at a good pace. Negative: the cook helper could use a handle to more easily keep it in position. You can grip the handle support bars for this purpose but something designed for the human hand would work much better. Other thoughts: these spiral slicers would be much nicer if they had a height adjustment for thicker slices like a mandoline.

Yes, it’s plastic, yes, it’s light, but it does exactly what i bought it for. It’s a well designed spiralizer that excels in it’s simplicity. Because it is lightweight and small without a lot of parts i have no hesitation grabbing it out of the cabinet and quickly adding fresh beets, carrots etc. I have used it for harder vegetables without a problem. Have not tried softer vegetables yet. As other reviewers mentioned, the instruction manual is limited and there are translation issues, but there are so many youtube videos on line on the use of this & other brands that it’s quite easy to watch product demonstrations and find out how to use, clean, etc. I have no regrets on this one.

I was looking for something to slice apples for my memere’s apple pie — the pie calls for slices that are paper thin, and standard apple corer/slicers cut them much to thick. With this tool, i was able to slice the apples so thin i could almost see through them (trick, after peeling and coring the apple, slice through the apple from top to bottom on one side only — this will give you individual slices, rather than one long ribbon). It’s a very simple tool, and probably a bit overpriced for what it is (molded plastic and a few blades), but to me, it has been a great value. Instead of taking an hour to make my pie, it took me about 20 minutes. Plus, i used it to make ‘spaghetti’ noodles out of zucchini — i made a batch of regular spaghetti, and then threw the zucchini ‘noodles’ in for a couple of minutes just before it was done cooking. If i had peeled the zucchini, you never would have known the difference. My two guys said they couldn’t tell it was zucchini by eating it.

“This is the absolute best slicer I have ever used!
, Joyful Spirals? Sure!
, Amazing little gadget

I have only had it for two days, so i have only spiralized two things so far (zucchini and a butternut squash). It did a wonderful job on both. I used the medium blade for both. Yes, the directions are mostly in japanese with poorly translated english, but i haven’t had any trouble figuring it out. I watched a video before purchasing it, so i felt pretty confident in how to use it already. It doesn’t leave much waste, makes super long ‘noodles’, and is easy to use and clean up. It is plastic, so i don’t know how long it will last, but it seems good quality overall. I had a hard time deciding between this one and the paderno. Overall, after reading reviews i went with this benriner because it is smaller, sounded easier to clean up, and seemed like a more simple design.

Get’s the job done and more. At first glance i was worried that the all plastic construction was going to break under pressure and heavy use, but it held up to the job. Now we’re able to make all sorts of stringy noodles out of the vegetables we have. The instructions are a little off, seems to be a direct japanese-english translation, but just take a look at some youtube video demos, it’ll all be clear. Highly recommend, it’ll open a whole new world of culinary delightafter much research we decided to buy this over the horizontal spiralizer. The biggest drawback was the leftover core while this stand up version uses a lot more of the vegetable.

If you’ve been trying to eat healthy and forgo pasta, this tool is what you need. I run a cooking school and love coming across new items that will inspire cooking. We’ll this benriner is awesome except for one small thing, you cannot adjust depth. I’m sure its a factor of not having enough leverage to turn it fast enough, but the shavings are just that. So with firm veggies like carrots, its great, but zucchinis will require a quick cook or almost blanche to keep it aldente. If you have not used benriner products in the past, they are top notch and standard item in many knife bags. You can spend lots more and come up with an inferior product. After this test, i’ll be interested to see how the kitchen aid attachment performs at only 2x cost.

Not sure what the folks who rated this with 1 or 2 stars were doing, but i’ve had no issue with it cutting carrots, raw beet and radish. It does only take about a 4′ piece of veg, but that seems to make miles of spirals. I typically cut the spirals or you end up with pieces that are many feet long and hard to serve/eat. The tool is made from fiberglass reinforced plastic which seems plenty sturdy for this application. It comes with 3 blades which determine the width of the spiral, but there’s no setting to control the thickness of the slice, that’s always constant at a couple of mm thick. It would be great if they did have a way to adjust the thickness. There’s a little knob which you use to change out or remove the blades that set the width of the cut. Without this blade in place it just makes a single spiral which is useful for fried potatoes or cucumber garnish.

I’ve used one of the cheap ‘conical’ type spiralizers, and they are horrible, inefficient, and they are all made in china. I was searching for an inexpensive stand type spiralizer that works well, and is not made in china. This was the only brand of spiralizer slicer i could find that fit the bill. The directions are in both japanese and english. While the quaint english translation contains a few misspellings and typos, it’s still easy to understand and there are photos as well. You don’t really need the directions anyway — this tool is very simple to use, the blades change quickly and easily, and it’s easy to clean. I’m very satisfied with this. If it were entirely made of stainless steel, i would be happier, but this seems sturdy enough for years of normal household use.

Fun to use, consider the pressure from arms and hands that may be too much work for some, but with practice and persistence, it is well worth the workout. Like all the quality and features for replacement and strength. The spiralizing is beautiful and doesn’t waste a core. Beet zoodles cooked in my stew (that was already made) in about 3 minutes to al dente perfection. Did chop the pile so that they are not toooo long. Can be several feet in length, which is fun to eat, if you are feeling silly. Not recommended with beets, as they would splash and stain clothing. Only adults should do the cutting, complex blades and sharp bits are not for an inexperienced person in the kitchen. Always remove crosscutting blade before washing, screwed in blade is easier to use brush on, in its place.

This is the vegetable spiral slicer you want. I have had the older benriner in the past (the one that lays horizontally), and used it almost everyday in a professional kitchen. They took a beating and never broke. I had to buy it 3 times because they would get stolen or borrowed, forever. I tried to replace with the other brands and styles, the as seen on tv. Types and the hand held ones and they don’t come close to working as good. This newer benriner, here is even better than the original because it uses gravity to help turn the vegetables into the blades. It also has the thinnest set of blade teeth out of any of the rest.

Honestly, it is a little cumbersome and is kind of funky to wash since there are so many places for water to ‘hide’. The first thing i did with it was run a sweet potato through it. It produced razor thin ribboning that i took and placed into hot oil. It essentially made a ‘funnel cake’ of sweet potato ‘chips’. The stainless steel sections of the machine are great quality, and like the germans, the japanese do it right (most of the time). The box art is a little funky and the instructions are full on japanese cartoons. But if you can get past all that, it is a functioning awesome little tool that does what your hands cannont.

Love this, easy to use, takes up little space & easy to clean fast3 stainless blades, plus one flat blade attached into unit. Finest blade is very fine which is great. Hoping someday they make a quality stainless body version.

I feared this might be a useless gadget. Of limited utility, tedious to use and clean. This makes lovely spirals of varying width out of radish, cucumber, carrot. Everything i’ve tried so far (except ginger root. ) there is a sweet spot here. Nothing too fibrous and i don’t think anything soft (like tomatoes) would work either. But with firm, crisp foods, it is golden, and even the cucumber worked well. Uses limited only by your imagination. You do need to watch yourself on the blades. The only design quibble i have is that it would have been nice if the interchangeable blades came in a little storage box; they do not, so you have to figure out how to store them safely. But that’s a minor grievance. So far, this tool seems sturdy enough.

Love the slicer’s ability and it’s blade options. I use the medium blade to spin zuccini as an alternative to having pasta (the zuccini looks just like spaghetti and it’s gluten-free) the plastic seems a little flimsy for the price i paid ($73), so i’m having doubts about how long it will last. I would look for a cheaper option considering the quality of construction. I can just see this breaking if my husband used it a few times.

Makes great thin ‘noodles’ but you need a good grip on this to make it work. You have to hold the base with one hand and push down with the other while turning the handle with some force for it to work well. Also the neck that holds the shaft will flex while you use it so much so that i thought that it would snap but it didn’t. Works for me but i’d rather use other slicers that are easier to use.

I’ve used this tool for years as a chef and i have purchased several over the years. It’s a great tool for spiral cutting veggies and i use it predominantly for garnish work. You have to be careful though when applying force to the turning handle because that’s the part that tends to break during its usage. Easy to disassemble to blade and wash. This tool has never discolored with sanitizers as some plastic tends to do. This is the classic chef essential and i’m sure not the last i will purchase in my lifetime.

First and foremost i must thank all of the amazon reviewers on all of the recent products that i have had to research to supplement my kitchen gadgets and tools. Negative and positive reviews have been so useful in helping me make very important decisions that save me time and money. I live in a location that does not many specialty stores and so amazon has been invaluable over the years, and especially now more than ever. Now to the review of the benriner. I had a very difficult time in this particular purchase even upon reading reviews. I could not decide if i should just get a mandoline slicer or get the cheaper spiulizer. In the end i decided to get thie benriner turner slicer and a matfer 2000s mandoline (this was even a more difficult purchasing decisions). There do not seem to be ‘perfect’ overal products in this genre of gadgets no matter what your price range. The cheaper you go it appears that the gadgetry will be more of a fad and will most likely not be useful in the long run.

I read reviews on many different ones and settled on this one. I think i made the right choice. The blades are sharp and it has easily made ‘noodles’ with carrots, yellows squash (moist, but was fine), and zucchini. It is just a little thing and i thought the noodles would be short but they are not.I set it over a platter and make heaps of noodles. I store it in the box it came in.

This was the forth device i purchased off amazon to cut spiral slices out of radishes, and the first to do it well. The base/blade do not deform when pressure is applied and the blade cuts nice and thin. The resulting spirals remain long enough to be appreciated. The only problem is the handle does not apply even pressure if you just press down on the green spinning part. I had to use two hands and press down on the middle to avoid the spiral from being shaved too thin every revolution. I might look for some sort of ‘t’ handle that could be screwed in where the handle attaches and apply even pressure.

I have two other ‘spiralizers’ that i paid top dollar for. They are nothing compared to this brand of slicer. As usual, things made in japan are of exceptional quality. The other two plastic pieces of junk are going into the trash. This unit is simply designed and easy to use, easy to clean, doesn’t slip on the counter like the others. It has two little ‘feet’ that sit over the edge of the sink or counter, which keeps the slicer from sliding. The blades are wonderfully made, sharp and perfect. I will never buy anything but this brand again.

Have been contemplating different ones for at the least 10 years. Some were $250+ which i could not justify; some were so cheap i knew they would not last. After watching a video on you tube on this and seeing all the reviews, i took the plung. I have made zucchini spaghetti and it is absolutely wonderful. This is going to be used so much over the summer with our abundance from the garden. I can see doing really creative salads, potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc. The quality on this seems good.

I have had this exact spiralizer for years, and love it just as much today as i did when i first got it. It is sturdy, and *very* easy to use – and in my opinion way better than some of the cheaper, gimmicky spiralizers on the market today, and even better than the joyce chen version (to qualify my opinion, i run both a raw foods website, and a vegan recipes website, both diets use things like ‘zucchini noodles’, which you make by spiralizing a zucchini, in lots of recipes). Here’s one of my recipes:annie’s raw spicy peanut sauce1/2 cup raw peanut butter1-2 teaspoons chinese hot chili oil with red pepper flakes2-3 teaspoons nama shoyu or organic soy sauce1 clove minced garlicudo’s oil or organic peanut or canola oil as neededin a food processor combine everything except the oil until well blended. Add the oil just until the sauce is of the consistency you like. Adjust shoyu and chili to taste. Toss over spiralized zucchini or summer squash ‘noodles’. —-this year i am giving it as a gift to a friend, along with this cookbook: spiralizer cookbook: 45+ paleo spiralizer recipes to get you started-get creative with endless possibilities (spiralizer cookbook, spiralizer recipes,. Spiralizer recipe book, paleo cookbook)if you are thinking of getting a spiralizer, this is the one to get.

I may be premature in giving this spiral slicer 5 stars as i’ve only used it once, but so far i like it. It arrived just in time to make the zucchini spaghetti that i’d plan to make that day. It’s fully assemble with one blade in it. I did my homework and watched some youtube videos on how to use it before i ordered it. I removed the flat blade and changed it to one of the grooved blades without any problem. I cut the zucchini’s in half as they were too long to fit in the space. I had no trouble using the slicer. It made zucchini noodles very quickly. Even though i cut the zucchini, the noodles were still really long. We had to cut them to eat them.

The things i really like are that it is compact and that the produce rotates on a spike so you don’t get the wasted bit you get with the horizontal spiralizers. The interchangeable blades are easy to use and give a clean cut. The not so good is that it feels a bit flimsy and you are restricted to quite short lengths of produce. I find it easiest to hold the spiralizer in my hand over the bowl rather than resting it on the bench. When i use it resting on the bench i find that i run out of space underneath very quickly. Overall though i love this product.

Sunbeam HTM3 Hot Tea Maker : Great equipment but?

I have owned 3 of these over several years since they were introduced and basically wore out every one of them through constant use. It has the capacity to make hot tea with tea bags as well as loose tea (separate filter basket that fits into the tea bag basket). It also has a strength control for brewing. The only feature i wish it had was a stop and pour option like many coffee makers have. I tried stopping mine manually and i think that feature is not included because the tea tastes different at the beginning than when the total brewing is finished.

I purchased this from walmart and have it in white color. I like the look of the black too after seeing it here on amazon. Anyway, this tea maker works great. Now i’ve had it for almost 10 months, i’ve never had any problems with it. After i bought it, i definitely drink tea more often, which has made my life healthier. It’s so easy to use and care for (basically just cleaning the pot once in a while). I like the warming feature and adjustable steeping level. The little basket is very convenient and you could mix tea bags and make your own favorite. The first thing i do every morning is to turn this tea maker on and have a hot cup of tea. It’s a great product and i would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a healthier lifestyle and likes to drink tea.

I’m so glad i bought this tea maker. I have only had this for about 3 weeks, and it makes perfect herb tea, that still taste good after siting hot for a few hours. I have only used tea bags, and will mix acouple of different types with my green tea. This does not turn off automaticly. There is a green light to let you know it’s on. This has a knob to turn if you want your tea mild , reg, or strong. I keep it on strong, as i drink herb tea, and feel i’m getting more antioxidents that way. Oz said when your makeing green tea, if you squeeze a , lemon, orange, or lime into your tea cup you will get all the good antioxidents from the green tea. If you do not, your basicly drinking flavored water.

Have had our sunbeam tea drop for about 3 weeks now and love it. The people who say it does not brew a strong enough cup of tea are full of beans. Before i got it, i was steeping my tea in boiling water for 15 minutes. There is no difference what so ever between the taste of the tea. (i was using green tea) it is wonderful not to have to go thru all of the extra steps and to have a perfectly brewed cup of tea in minutes. I’d buy another one when this one dies.

This was exactly what i was looking for. It makes a good cup of tea and keeps the extra warm. Small enough to fit near my computer so i can enjoy it without having to run to the kitchen constantly. My only complaint is that when i take it apart to clean after brewing that the tea drips inside and has to be wiped out. I would recommend this product. Edit: the carafe broke after i dropped it. I called to purchase a new one from sunbeam and, to my surprise, shipped me a free one at no charge.

Sunbeam HTM3 Hot Tea Maker, White : Kepp it hot without boiling it. Cold weather came last year and i wanted tea. I got one winter’s use out of it.

Like the guage for strength of the tea and the fact you can use loose or bagged tea.

I really like this tea maker. I purchased this one to replace the one i broke on accident. I have used this tea maker for years and years–i love it. I am not a tea snob; i experimented with tea bags until i got the right strength for my taste. I put it on full strength with 3 irish breakfast tea bags and it comes out beautifully. I don’t have to time my tea. I just fill, push the button, and ten minutes later i have perfectly steeped tea. If this one ever breaks, i will be in the market for another one.

I already own this tea drop, and have loved it since day one. My sister-in-law also loves tea, but was using a pot to boil water, and she was scalding her tea. My brother let me know how unhappy she was about that and i decided to surprise her. After the first cup of tea, she called and texted me about how excited she was. Now we are sharing tea websites online.

I drink a lot of tea, and i find this little unit is wonderfully consistent in brewing. It lends itself particularly well to the brewing of fine white or green teas for which, to protect the tea from a bitter or astringent taste, the water should not be brought to a boil. It also does a very nice job with most oolongs and even some black blends. If i am in a hurry, i’m generally satisfied with the results i get with black, rooibos, mate and herbals that require hotter water and longer steep times, but when i’m fussy about these latter varieties i use a teapot and infuser so i can control the results to my taste. I find the sunbeam hot tea maker extremely easy to use. I always use loose teas which, of course, get loose if i’m not careful. The trick is to take the infuser basket out when putting leaves into it.

Just as the amazon description illustrated, this little brewer does an exceptional job. . Quite a good price for this attractive, very functional appliance. Since christmas, it has been used several times a day on both loose and bagged teas.

This tea maker workers like a coffee maker, however the ‘steeping’ time is controlled by slowing the passage of the tea/water through the tea grounds into your cup when darker tea is desired. With about twice the normal amount of tea, you can get an okay cup of tea when you select the darkest setting. The trouble is, for really good tea, you want the water to be brought to a rolling boil and you want the water and the tea to stay in contact for 2 to 6 minutes depending on the kind of tea and the strength you like. Neither of these things happen with this tea maker so even when you add twice the amount of tea, you can get a darker cup, but you won’t get the kind of full-bodied tea taste that tea lovers like to savor. That said, this tea maker does keep the tea you have made nicely warmed, so that is a plus. If you’re not a fanatic for awesome tea and you don’t mind using twice as much tea, you might find this teapot a nice convenience.

I didn’t buy this tea maker for myself but for my husband who drinks about 5 cups a day. We had a tea kettle that we would heat up on a stove top but this tea maker saves us time and money on our electricity bill. He is a teacher so he can bring it in the classroom if he wanted to. It’s a wonderful concept– good tasting tea that is quick and easy to make whenever you want a cup. If you love to drink tea throughout the day, i recommend buying this tea maker. It is small enough to go with you to the office or stay at home.

If you like hot tea, this is a great buy. It comes with its own infuser/strainer so it works with loose tea as well as tea bags. You have variable settings so you can adjust the strength of the tea it makes. I not only use it for flavored teas but also for making an herbal tea at bedtime. And, if you just want to make just one or two cups of cocoa or spiced cider, you can use it to heat the water and keep it hot. Nothing like it for making tea though. Great gift for the tea lover.

It takes 3 tea bags to get 2 medium strength cups of tea. Husband isn’t very thrilled about it but he was using a stove tea kettle and would leave the water boiling for hours. I put a stop to that because i was afraid he go off to work and leave the gas stove running all day. When you compare it to burning the house down, it’s not such a bad deal. Update 9/25/13:we’ve been using this nonstop since purchase. You can heat the water with the tea bags in the holder or just put the tea bags directly in the carafe.

My grandmother was looking for a teapot that did more then just heat up water for her tea, and it seemed that every one that would do more then one cup of water at a time was just that. She uses her teapot every day, and goes through 2 to 3 pots a day and every time i see her she thanks me again for it.

I bought this tea maker for my boyfriend last year and i’m not exaggerating when i say that we use it everyday (maybe even twice a day) after one year of continuous work the little bugger is still going great. There are some obvious signs of use however, especially on the burner (from negligence in allowing the water to spill and what not) but it works fine just the same. I read a comment about it not steeping, which is true, but i don’t think it makes that big of a difference. This christmas i’m planning on buying him the expensive and fancy zafino (i think thats the name) although i don’t expect it to be much different. That product claims to steep at the right time needed for all the different tea types, i will update with the reality and whether it’s worth the $60 extra or whether this sunbeam is just as good for a better bargain. I own the white machine but i would definately suggest the black because mine tends to accumulate smudges of sorts and the exterior needs constant wiping down to look neat (when the tea hits the cover as it drips it splashes a bit). And am so glad to have it, not only is it convienent but my regular tea pots couldn’t stand up to our endless torture of tea brewing.

We have enjoyed using this tea drop for quite a while. I hope they will put it back in production because when i need another one,i will go first to sunbeam as their products have served us so well ever since my mom got her mixmaster many years ago.

Had one of these, for several years, which i loved. Perfect for one person that drinks more than one cup, but doesn’t want to waste a large pot. I’m sorry to find it is not available, new , at a reasonable price any longer i’d like something very similar to replace this.

Sunbeam has this tea maker, see?bright green power lamp when rocker switch is left on, so if you turn the lights out in the kitchen, glance back to know if it’s on, you will. Two foot power cord will store excess into its back with a locknotch, so you can keep cat from tripping on it. Nice feature on fill reservoir in back of unit is a rubber water exit hole above the max fill line. If you don’t look and fill it twice, say, it will oops, leak out the back, not onto the case with the heater in it, due to the rubber part and a curved back on the unit, keep the carafe from overflow in front, and remind you that you blew it over and over as you soak up the puddle. Five position steep time changer is iffy, but yes, it does do something. This is a mechanical lever that ups&downs the filler tube in the brew basket. My unit, with lever on strong, from cold start fills pot in 5. 0min, after that, 4 1/2 plus or minus five seconds.

The tea drop arrived when it was supposed to and serves us great every morning.

Difficult to find for purchase. In my opinion, price is a little expensive but i use this tea maker every single day. Easy to use and i like to keep the extra tea warm until i’m ready for another cup. I’m not a sophisticated tea drinker so i use tea bags rather than loose tea for ease of brewing and cleaning.

Juicepresso Best Juicer Cold Press Juicer is Dishwasher Safe & Easy to Clean : Five Stars

It’s a great company and would recommend.

I’ve had a good juicer for years. And i haven’t used it for years. The best juicer is the one you use. Simply put, because it is easy and simple to clean it gets used. Great demo locally here in clackamas. Introduced to ginger from asian markets and all it’s benefits. Great zing to the already tasty recipes. Looking forward to trying recipes using the pulp for baking and real curious about veggie burgers. I highly recommend this, especially anyone who has not had a pleasant experience with other juicers.

This is a cold press juicer. So there is some pulp with your juice.

I really like this juicer, it’s my 2nd one and i use it almost everyday. It clogs up some with the celery but otherwise i just love it.

We got this juicer for christmas and have absolutely loved it. We’ve used it so much because it is so easy. We use it multiple times per day and so far it has held up really well. We basically cleaned out our refrigerator and were able to use all kinds of veggies and fruits. One tip is to alternate things that aren’t as juicy (like spinach or kale) with juicier fruits (apples, pear) so the juice can ‘clean out’ anything that may get stuck. This has turned us into juice people, haha.

Juicepresso Best Juicer Cold Press Juicer is Dishwasher Safe & Easy to Clean : My whole family is hooked on juicing and the clean up makes it so easy. It goes right in the dishwasher.

Purchased this for my girl friend and she loves it. The juicer has been in use multiple times everyday since christmas. Easy to use and very easy to clean up. She really likes how this system extracts the solid material so you can use this to make as much juice as you need without having to stop and clean the device out.

East to use and easy to clean. The trick is to not to overload the juicer and it works great.

Easy to use and clean and takes up very little space. Will be adding this to my christmas gift list this year.

I am having so much fun juicing everything with no issues.

After a lot of looking around and comparing products on the market, the juicepresso seemed the best for me. Wanted something that was small enough to keep on my counter but still had the cold pressed technology which means i can juice less often. This juicer is super easy to operate and most importantly clean. Saving a fortune juicing at home for my family with this juicer. Extremely happy with this purchase.

I received this as a very generous gift to help keep me healthy through chemotherapy. It’s a huge hit with three generations of our family. I watched as my 11 yo and 70+ yo father figured it out on their own in short order. The reviews were more than 5 star.My son asked us to get more fruit at the store, so he can make breakfast. From box to fresh juice to clean up was quick and easy. A fantastic product for our entire family.

Best juicer ever and easy to clean.

Pros: quiet, good-looking, small footprint, easy to clean, fun to watch the action, great tasting juice, good safety features, prompt customer servicecons: not heavy duty. Make sure you cut the carrots, beets, etc. Into thinner slices or smaller chunks to feed the juicer. Don’t try to feed a whole bunch of parsley in at once, and cut off the stems when you do, lest they clog the mechanism. Be careful the rubber wipers inside the bottom of the spiral unit stay in when you wash it by hand or in the dishwasher. We lost one of ours and called customer service. They mailed us replacements immediately. Don’t be fooled by the picture showing a little bit of carrot pulp and a lot of carrot juice. That’s opposite of what actually happens with carrots. Overall: we’ve had ours since christmas 2014 and love it.

I love my juicepresso home cold pressed juicer. I make 3 days of juice at a time and the juice stays fresh and tasty. I rinse the drum and screw in about 10 seconds and then throw them in the dish washer so clean up is super easy. Way less expensive than buying juice and easier to use and clean than the others i’ve used in the past.

It is good for making juice.

Produces quality, delicious, healthy, cold pressed juice. We looked for a product like this for years but could never find something that was perfect. They should rename it to ‘juiceperfecto’. Stop searching and reading reviews. This is what you’re looking for.

I purchased this after trying to find a better juicer than my previous breville ‘fast’ juicer. Every time i would put greens into the breville juicer, because of the speed, it would simply go in and get chopped up and right back out. Also because of the speed and power when i would juice beets the red juice would spray from any place it could. I would end up with spots on my kitchen walls, face, shirt, etc.The breville also had a slow speed and fast speed, but somehow the motor decided it would only work on one speed. Every piece i would put in the motor would overheat and stop requiring that i keep turning it off and on. What a painenter the juicepresso. This juicer is so slow in the best way possible. As soon as i turned it on i thought there’s no way it will juice a piece of carrot, this thing is so flimsy. I started with some grapes and tasted the pure juice and never have i seen so much juice come from juicing grapes. My husband even came over and started eating the grape pulp that was coming out. Juiced apples, kale (sucessfully, finally), carrots, mint, etc. The final product was clear with less pulp than the breville.

It will juice greens just not as effeicently.

Very nice machine quite and good taste.

Excellent juicer, easy to use and extremely easy to clean.

It’s innovative design make juice prep and clean up a breeze. Don’t hesitate to buy this juicer.

T-fal Emeril by CY4000 Nonstick Dishwasher Safe Electric Pressure Cooker, Awesome Pressure Cooker

Great features with the saute, brown and simmer settings. Who wants a slow cook setting on a pressure cooker, which is what most of them have. Love the basket which can be placed in the liquid or set above for certain meats. This has the same features as the cuisinart but had problems with it coming to pressure; half the time would just boil. Has a great recipe book from emeril. Have had a couple before this one but this is the best thus far.

This pressure cooker is the only electric cooker i have used that gets high enough pressure to cook pork roast properly. It is the top rated electric cooker for a reason.

I used to cook chicken bone broth, chicken soup, beef bone broth, beef stew taking hours on the stove but no longer. And it is not scary like the old manual pressure cooker. It can brown, and it can steam (i do artichokes in it all the time). I cook boiled eggs (4 minutes on low) in it also. It takes a while to get a feel of how long you should cook chicken (it makes the meat very dry if you overcook it) and beef too (although less sensitive than chicken) but you get a feel after a while. Can’t really do green veggies like green beans, brussels sprouts if you like your veggies super-crisp, but if you like your veggies on the mushy side, i guess 2-3 minutes on low would do it. Overall, it is a great product since it saves you tons of time and probably tons in electric bills.

Comments from buyers

“Awesome Pressure Cooker
, amazing, my favorite kitchen appliance
, Total winner. Recommend without reservations!

The pressure cooker and amazon are greatour chief concern is the very poor instructions that are included with the cooker. This could be a very dangerous item, yet instructions on its use are minimal. Still, we are pleased, but additional information would be very useful.

I have never been more satisfied with a cooking product than i am with this pressure cooker. It cooks delicious food and it is quick and very easy to work with. I bought my 20 year old daughter one as well and she is mastering it quickly. I also recommended it to friends who say they are spoiled by the ease of using this cooker. Not only does it cook quickly and thoroughly, it is so easy to clean up. Just remove the insert and because it is no-stick, it cleans in a snap. If asked to give up all my kitchen appliances and only keep one, this would be the one to keep.

box was completely destroyed but no damage to item.

I use this at least three times a week. It is so easy to dump everything in there and set it for about an hour and the meat fall off the bone and the flavors are infused.

Tickled pink with this pressure cooker. I can easily brown and then pressure cook or slow cook foods. Pan is heavy and washes up well in dishwasher. Be sure to use wooden or plastic utensils w pot, though. Lid is easy to clean under the faucet. The whole appliance is heavy and well made. I really have no complaints about it. My food comes out precisely as expected. May i suggest you buy hip pressure cooking cookbook as a companion?. This is my most successful cooking purchase all year. This pressure cooker is a 5 star winner.

I have enjoyed this so much. So easy and safe to use, food even taste better. Non stick, dishwasher safe and very durable.

I ‘m still getting use to a different style of cooking.

This is an amazing pressure cooker. No problems ever with cooking and the food comes out fantastic. However, i have a warning for all those out there who purchase this. Do not scratch the bottom of the pan (basically, don’t use metal utensils). If scratched, you can no longer use it and getting a replacement insert is a royal pain. The company t-fal gets the inserts from has had the inserts backordered for almost a year. Sadly for me, some ex-friends of my boyfriend ruined my cooker on purpose, knowing this, and now i have to buy another pressure cooker since the inserts are still on backorder. Be careful not to scratch it.

Love this cooker, easy to use and food tastes great. Has a small cookbook that comes with it to get you started. I purchased another book great food fast that works well with this cooker.

It comes in handy with working a full day and having to cook for a family. No need to heat up the oven (and house).

Like most people i know who have had occasion to use one of the old fashioned stove top pressure cooker, i have a story of mishap related to the pressure cooker. I once opened my old pressure cooker only to have boiling hot water splash all over me. While i was wearing a swimsuit. Thank god i was able to quickly get in the shower, thus avoiding a disaster. I find the pressure cooker extremely useful when cooking certain dishes, but after that incident i swore i’d never use it again. So, imagine my delight when i discovered this electric pressure cooker by emeril. I watched a television program where, emeril himself demonstrated the use of this cooker; i decided to give it a try. I am soooo happy i didthis pressure cooker is amazing. It’s so easy to use and with all the safety features, it’s just about impossible to have a mishap while cooking with it. I use this cooker to maker stews, chili, soups, rice, gumbo, and a whole host of other dishes. It’s user friendly, cooking times are super quick, and clean up is a dream. There is a safety mechanism that prevents you from opening the lid until the internal pressure is depressurized.

Fast shipping goodx quality.

Use it at least 3 times a week.

It arrived with two large dents. I blame the way it was packaged. I cannot leave it out on countertop because of its’ appearance. Although, it does operate just fine.

This is my first electric pressure cooker. You don’t have to continually monitor & adjust the stove burner temperature. Pressure cookers work much faster than simply cooking things on the stove. I’ve found that our food comes out with better texture and taste than if it cooks slower.

Fantastic, we are loving it. At the price we paid for this item on sale and with the free delivery, we are very satisfied customers.

This is the best purchase for the kitchen that i have ever made. This pressure cooker has literally changed the way i cook every day. I use this cooker almost every single day. I use to be scared of using a pressure cooker but this is so easy and safe that it would be hard to mess up too bad. I love that i can brown and saute right in the cooker, then when i am ready, i just crank the pressure up and let it cook. Once its done tenderizing or cooking whatever i am making, i can then open it back up and continue with the browning or saute options. It is like having another stove burner. I am an american and i cook a lot of desi food for my mixed race, pakistani and american family. The curry and salan dishes tend to take hours to make and require so many steps. This cooker has reduced the cooking time so drastically that i now spend only about 30 min making a pakistani style dish for my family.

Have only used this once and very pleased with it. Plan to use it more soon, it tenderizes meat so well. It arrived the next day (i have prime, and it was a two-day item)–i was very impressed with the speedy delivery, too.

I bought this to rapidly cook beans and stews and it is very effective in this task. I have not used it for many of the other things but being able to cook dried beans with spices and herbs, sauteed onions and so forth adds a great deal to their flavor as opposed to adding them to canned beans which i find never infuses the flavor as well without overcooking the beans to a mush. With some experimentation i have learned how long to cook different varieties of beans precisely to the doneness i like without having to stand guard over the pot.

If you have worried about using a pressure cooker before, worry no more. The cooker will not function if it is not closed properly. You can take meat directly from the freezer add what liquid you want and cook regular amount of time, it is done perfectly. So far, i have used most of my regular recipes, adjusted for liquid if needed and they have come out great. The cookbook is helpful and what recipes i’ve tried are wonderful.

I bought this as a gift and they just love it. They cook with it at least 3-4 times a week. Their only complaint is they wish there was an option to buy another pot insert so they can easily cook more things in it.

Oster 6608-14-Speed Glass Jar Blender – Good price & good value

0 out of 5 stars osterizers rule, may 14, 2009i’ve owned blenders for decades. I started with waring but tired of their motors burning out and bought an osterizer 10 speed with glass container some 25 years ago. That blender finally died this week, the motor burning out (what a smell). Now, it was only 120 watts, so i suppose i was fortunate it lasted for around 25 years considering the punishment it got — i often made peanut butter in it from oven roasted peanuts, and it died making peanut buttersoon after buying my 10 speed osterizer, i bought an oster food processor attachment for it for $10 at a local store, and i’ve used that exclusively for grinding meat. So, in replacing my burned out 10 speed i figured i’d get another osterizer so i can continue to use this food processor as well as the two glass containers i have (i picked up an extra somewhere). I was pleased to discover that the present osterizer line accommodates the old containers, etc. Yesterday i made the rounds at the local big box stores and picked up the 6694 14 speed. The glass container is wider than the ones i had already, and i figure that’s a very good thing.

Perfect product, perfect delivery.

After about 20 uses, the plastic bottom cap broke. Unfortunately, it broke off when the blender was full of hot onion cream that it took me an hour to make. So i almost killed myself and had to clean the kitchen for half hour. It’s a pity because everything else seems high quality, engine, blades, glass cup etc. Update (6/14/2017): the company has started shipping blenders with thicker bottom caps. I bought one as a spare part for maybe $5 or $10. I’m talking about like, already 5 years ago. So i’m raising my review to 5 stars. Meanwhile i forgot i had written this review and i was astonished to see that not only it’s still around after seven years, but that people have actually replied to it to tell me that i should not use the blender for hot things. I am going to use the blender for hot things. Otherwise how am i supposed to blend hot things?.Here are the specifications for the Oster 6608-14-Speed Glass Jar Blender:

My osterizer lasted about 7 years. I’ve used it almost daily for most of this time. I started out with frozen fruit smoothies, but the last several years have been making smoothies sans icy ingredients. It has been an ear-splitting machine. If i’m hard of hearing prematurely, this machine is probably the cause. After a couple of years, the screw-on base cracked. I bought a new no-brand one which is sturdier looking and has lasted longer. After about 5 years, the gear(s) for my most used speed wore out and the motor would just stop. I’ve limped along on the other speed settings for about six months now, with the motor suddenly stopping occassionally. Last week i finally chunked it and bought a new oster blender, the cheaper and quieter.

It has a strong odor coming from the motor which can be offensive upon using it. My old one (oster) which i had for 10 years never dispersed any kind of odor.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Great Blender!
  • It has a strong odor coming from the motor which
  • Bottom cap breaks easily

. I’ve used this bender several times now and maybe it’s a bit early to review it but for $24. 00 at walmart you can’t go wrong. I think it’d be better if they used a low gear ratio for the low speeds but manufactures want to make money on the ‘bottom line’ so you don’t get everything. Anyway it works good with some help from the higher speed range to get things started, it’s easy to clean and it has a heavy glass jar. If i run into any problems i’ll update this review.

I have pretty much every modern appliance & gadget a kitchen princess could ever ask for. My only problem with my purchases is that colors change so i may not want to display them on the counter. Such was the problem with my original 10 speed osterizer circa 1969, a bridal shower gift from my mom, it is avocado green. I wanted to share the counter with my white cuisinart food processor, green kitchenaid mini processor, green kitcheaid stand mixer, & white mr. The scarry part is, that original is still working to this day, 36 yrs. Later, & still crushes ice to boot. It stopped on me last year & after i checked it out, it was just a little built up stickyness in the base. Cleaned it out —– good to go.Well, i bought this one in white & it’s just as wonderful as the original. I knew i could count on oster. There’s very few changes, & the one i love is the new shape—–wider glass jar—-no doubt they listened to the consumer—-that was the only thing i might have changed. This baby is a great machine—–but then ‘mom’ is still a good old gal too. Buy ‘the name’ in blenders, & i hope yours lasts 3 1/2 decades also.

Grinds up ice and everything.

I purchased this ‘used’ blender as an extra for our camper. It arrived on time and well packeged. It was in almost new condition, the original packaging just a little dented. I was amazed at how well it worked, it was clean and everything included. I liked it so much i kept it in my kitchen and put my original blender in the camperit makes great margaritas.

Bayou Classic 3016 30-Quart Outdoor Turkey Fryer – 5 star Turkey Day!

The cooker i purchased from another source is the exact one i wanted from amazon. The cooker from amazon was sent back soon after the order was completed. There were several problems with the amazon transaction; 1. The amazon web site stated that shipping was free, but when i got the email to confirm the sale, the final price included $20 shipping, and tax. The email also stated to cancel the order use a link within the email, go to the website and use the cancel button. Only problem is when you go to the website i could not find any button or link that allowed the purchaser to cancel the order. To amazons credit the ups return and refund was a very smooth operation. Otherwise, amazon really dropped the ball on this one. I’ve never had a problem ordering from amazon before but this transaction makes me a little leery. By the way the cooker i did purchase came from an ebay seller and it works great, no shipping charge or tax. Only noted problems were the inside of the pots were scratched in several places but the outsides were in great condition. Would be nice if they included a basic cook book. Used the injector for the first time, injected beer into a chicken, extremely moist and flavorful.

I bought this cooker to blanch vegetables for freezing and canning. It worked great and saved a lot of time doing it. I used the small pan and basket and it would boil the water as fast i needed it. I cooked fish with it one time using a 12 inch cast iron pot and had trouble keeping the heat down low enough. The stand is made from thin metal and so are the pots and baskets. It held up well and i am happy with it so far. All the parts were in the box.

I am a southern guy from ga, and have been using outside cookers all of my adult life. This one is a winner, you can’t go wrong with this purchase if you enjoy using an outside cooker. With the various size cooking pots, you can cook for 2 or 20. Very simple to set up and use. I really like this one and the price was a bargin.

I’m not expert on turkey fryers but this thing is a beast. We had a wing night and it had not trouble gobbling up 20+ wings at a time. The qaulity appears to be there and all the components functioned well. Assembly is easy and only took a couple minutes. My only gripe is that an item named the bayou classic is made in china. I’d pay a little more to have it cajun made.

The hardest part is trying to figure out how everything goes back into the box. The burner did a great job of heating the pot for frying a turkey. The paint on the burner will burn off within the first 10 or 15 minutes of starting it. I recommend doing this prior to actually cooking anything on top of the grill. I cleaned the aluminum pot after draining the oil when it was still slightly warm. It cleaned easily and quickly. I haven’t had an opportunity to use the steamer but will this summer. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a cooker.

The trick is to keep it from tipping over on kids as they race by, but if you keep that issue in mind, the thing is the only way to go. We have used it twice and the turkeys are perfectly cooked.

  • Bayou Classic 30 Qt Turkey Fryer
  • From Crab Feasts to a Low Country Boil – perfect!
  • Cooks a great turkey, but.

I love the versatility of this set, the smaller basket and fry pot. So far i’ve only used it for turkeys (3 in a month, 2 more coming up for x-mas) but everything worked well. Emptying it is a bit of a pain, i’ve used another fry pot that had a nozzle mounted at the side of the bottom for easy emptying, that would be great, maybe one day i’ll order just that fry bucket. It was easy to assemble, and very straightforward, got the oil up to temp in about 20-25 minutes. Some of the paint did bake off in the first use, but that is to be expected.

And boiling sweetcorn for a crowd.

We’ve experimented with a whole chicken. Turned out excellent and only took about 20 minutes. Best chicken i’ve ever eatenthen we tried it out to have a clam bake. Same thing, everything turned out greatnote. You have to make sure you get the set with the extra pots. It’s worth the 20 bucks extra to make sure you get them. You can do a lot with this set.

The pots, lids and strainers and turkey stand are all aluminum. They do show marks with even light usage, and unfortunately, they will mark up a ceramic sink pretty badly. I’d recommend washing them outside with a garden hose – it’s easier anyways considering how large the pot is. I’ve done multiple 12lbs crawfish boils and while it’s filled to the brim to pack all the crawfish and crawfish related accessories (corn, potatoes, sausage, garlic, onion, mushrooms, etc) in there, it does get the job done. The burner is made out of steel and has rusted pretty quickly with any moisture coming into contact. The flame cooked the paint right off the middle of the stand. The overall package does not scream quality, but it does support everything well and you really can crank the flame up to a huge roar. It gets the job done economically and effectively. As long as you can live with it not looking like a million dollars as you use it, you should be satisfied with the bang for your buck. Next time i might pony up for a stainless steel version since i did use it quite a lot during crawfish season.

I received this fryer in august as a birthday gift and i am very glad that i did. The kit comes with everything you need to get started, minus the propane tank and oil. Assembly was a breeze and only took around 10 minutes at the most (i assembled it while relaxing in the garage). As some reviewers have stated after the first couple uses some of the paint for the stand was burned off resulting in it no longer appearing new. I can see how this would bother some users but for me it did not detract from the quality of the product. I am more of a function over appearance kind of person and the paint burning off did nothing to take away from the function of the stand. I see the price has gone up (it was $80 when i got it) maybe since it’s closer to thanksgiving, but even at the higher price i think it is worth it.

The bayou classis 30 qt turkey fryer was a great purchase. The stand was easy to assemble (took around 5 minutes). It comes with a smaller cooking pot, injector, thermometer, steaming pot and several other items. My first attempt to deep fry a turkey (18 lbs) took place on thanksgiving day. My backup plan was to go to kfc if things didn’t work out. The fryer did everything it was supposed to do. I pre-measured the oil level with water. I didn’t have the turkey on the provided turkey stand, so i had to add a little more oil when i actually deep fried the turkey. This slowed the cooking time about 5 to 10 minutes. The turkey was golden brown and very moist.

I bought this to brew 5 gallon batches of beer. It gets hotter quicker than my electric range and my spills are easily washed away with a garden hose because i now brew on concrete. 5 gallons of water to a full rolling boil in about 6-7 minutes. After 5 batches of beer taking an hour a piece, the propane tank is still half full. I love the thing and began using it to boil corn on the cob (20 min @ full boil for 6 ears) and fry up some blue gill. I’m going to attempt a turkey this thanksgiving in the thing and maybe even roast some marshmallows over the burner. Would also make a great little heater for the patio when pounding those homebrews later in the evening. The options are virtually endless. If you like to grill, you will love this turkey fryer.

Very strong base for the pot to sit on. Was very impressed with the nuts and bolts that came with it being a mechanic and all. Usually you get the cheap soft metal hardware that strip out and break the first time you put a wrench on them but you can tell these ones were high quality. Was amazed on how many accessories you get with it for the price. Usually the more stuff you get with something the quality of the accessories drop severely, but not with this fryer. Heats up the oil or water very very fast without eating up to much propane. I got a gallon and a half of oil up to 350 in less that 8 min and once up to temp i turned the regulator down to the lowest setting and stayed perfectly at 350. Great product, would definitely buy more bayou classic products in the future.

I expected the pots to be of better quality. They perform the tasks required, but i expect that i will eventually have to replace the pots. The aluminium does not seem to be very durable.

I have long been skeptical of ‘deep frying’ at home. The smell, the mess, the smell. Anyway, i recently decided to throw a fish fry and decided it was time to invest in a fryer. The biggest issue for me in purchasing a fryer was the sturdiness of the burner stand. Besides having the ability to heat 12 quarts of oil, i also wanted a burner stand that would hold the weight of 20 quarts of beer for my homebrewing. I decided on the bayou classic. This bayou classic kit came with everything and setup was simple. The burner stand exceeded my expectations for sturdiness and the height was such that when using the 10 quart stock pot, you could place the burner stand on a safe sturdy work surface to elevate it off the ground. I plan on also using this burner with my wok. The burner was able to bring the oil to temperature in approximately 15 minutes.

This is a great party starter. ‘have pots, come over, bring something and we’ll cook it in the backyard’. I bought three of these and have used them several times for low country boils and crab feasts. They are a little more narrow than i thought and i am glad i bought a few of them. They clean up easily with the hose and some soap and have been very durable so far. It would be nice if it came with a carrying case instead of trying to figure out how to fit all of the pieces back into the box. But that’s just a ‘nice to have’ when people borrow them all the time. The men are anxious to stir the pot and look inside and the women are happy to have them do it. We’ve had a lot of fun entertaining with these ‘deep fryers’ and we have never fried a thing. I am always looking for new uses to cook anything outside by the pool.

Turkey fryer kit provides 30-quart stockpot and outdoor gas-burner stove

We purchased this turkey fryer because we love to steam seafood and corn-on-the-cob and this is the best way to do it. We can have 12 people for a clam bake and do 100 clams per pot and the best part is it keeps that seafood smell outside and not in my house.

This is without a doubt the worlds best deep fryer. I have been able to cook not only turkey but chicken, lobster clams and just about whateveri want to. It is a real conversation piece when all my friends are over.

This is one of those things you have to be careful using–but once that meat is cooked-there is nothing like it-it gives the meat a flavor you can not get any where else, light weight and if you follow instructions it a good to go thing–you must remeber to follow instructions so you stay safe using it.

I purchased this because i wanted to try and fry a turkey for thanksgiving. The day before i put it all together. It was so easy to use and came with all the gadgets i needed. We fried the turkey and i received so many compliments. No problems, no accidents, just a great, user-friendly fryer, especially for beginners.

Works fine but requires a bit of setup and we don’t use it much as a result.

I purchased the bayou clasic unit primarily for brewing beer. The unit was shipped on time and without any damage. It was easy and quick to assemble, and connected right up to my 5-gal propane tank with it’s standard connector (same as you use to connect to your bbq). It fired right up with first strike of my flint starter. Note: you will want to let it burn for a few minutes to burn off the paint on the resting cross-arms that the pot sits on. Otherwise, you will have black smoke stains all over the bottom of your pot. I should have thought of this ahead of time. It does wash off though with an sos pad. The flame is very adjustable and easy to do with the adjustment valve.

Aluminum and cast-iron construction for high-quality performance; 10-PSI regulator

Bought this to use with king crab legs brought back from alaska. The inner basket allowed removal of the crab legs without having to fish them out. It assembled easily, all parts were included, stand is solid. This is a good fryer, even though i do not use it for frying. Suitable for any outdoor seafood boil use as well as frying.

I only gave four stars because i have used better, but the better ones did also cost twice as much. This one works very well, heated a small pot of grease to 350 in about 3 minutes when i fry chicken. I didn’t have the quality issues some reviewers had, all my bolts fit and worked, so maybe they’ve fixed it. Loved the included accessories with this deal. Two of my friends have burner setups like this, but i am the only one with all the accessories and they are well worth it. The paint burnoff on the stand wasn’t even as bad as i expected. It still looks good and only burnt off directly over the flame, and was burnt away and gone within five minutes of firing the thing up. Oh, and i relish putting up tough reviews so i am not saying i love this just to gush over it. Skip to four months after i wrote that review – now, after a summer of use and some side by side comparisons with friends, i like this fryer even more.

I was making a turkey at least twice a month. I would find an excuse to fry a turkey, whether it was a new recipe or st patrick’s day. Nothing will beat a fried turkey. This product came with everything i need and more.

This is the first time that i have owned such a product and i am happy with it considering all that i received for around $80. The unit arrived with no damage and the stand was easy to assemble. The burner is powerful enough for my needs. It will burn the paint off of the heated area of the stand the first time you use it. Most of the paint burned off in under 5 minutes. I boiled some water to let the paint burn off and to also test the thermometer. Hookup to the my gas tank was as easy as a grill. The unit is easy to light and the gas regulator is easy to use. There was a pretty good breeze blowing on the day that i used it and the flame never blew out. Be sure to read the instruction manual on proper operation of the burner.

Purchased this fryer just prior to use on thanksgiving 2010. Shipping was fast, i think it took 3 days or so to get to me. All items came in the box as indicated. It took me about 45 min to fry a 12-15 pound turkey. The only bad thing i can say about this is that the design is such that a small breeze will cause you to loose a lot of heat creating a longer cook time. I fixed this by using two pieces of plywood to create a wind break. However, i would not call this a deal stopper by any means. I paid $81 for this kit and saw it in one of the warehouse clubs (bj’s) for $99. Overall, i would highly recommend this fryer.

This item arrived quickly , it was bent at the ring and did not come with lock washers and the 3. Weather has been bad so we have not been able to use it to see how well it works. Other than that it assembled like it was suppose to and visualy looks good other than the bent ring. Will post after we use it depending on out weather conditions. We live in michigan so our weather is not suited for frying outrside quit yet.

I bought this fryer as a gift. I had checked out many online with their comments and decided on this one. Boyfriend put it together easily, and has already used it twice. Its nice to have all the accessories that come with it. He made a smaller batch of fried fish with the smaller basket. He is very happy with this item, ty.

Vented lid; perforated poultry rack; 12-inch stainless thermometer

Had a wonderful low country boil. One of the screws broke in half during assembly- had to make a trip to the hardware store. But all was fine after that.

This product is easy to put together and very sturdy once assembled. So far i have done a few low country boils and fried up a ton of shrimp and had no problems. I had high expectations and this cooker met all of them. As some other reviews said, some paint will burn off and that is to be expected. Heated up pretty fast and is a very nice product. Would have been five stars but there were a few scratches on the pot when it arrived, nothing that a little normal use wouldn’t have caused anyway but they shouldn’t be on there from the factory. Overall a very good cooker and i’m satisfied.

Bought this for christmas dinner and it worked great. We ended up frying a 12 pound turkey in it and had no problems what-so-ever. I was a little concerned after reading the reviews; especially the ones about not heating the oil up very well. Didn’t have a problem with it at all. We actually had to end up frying it at night in 18 degree weather (with a little snow) and the oil heated up in about 25 minutes. There is a carburator (flame adjuster) at the junction between the gas hose and the frame you need to adjust before you start it. I’m wondering if that’s what people who had problems didn’t do. We first lit it and with a few minor adjustments got a good hot flame. The paint does burn off initially but it doesn’t seem to be a problem. Can’t wait to fry some more things.

I love to tailgate, so i use this fryer in the parking lot on gameday to make fresh cut french fries, onion rings, wings, chicken fingers, etc. It works well, even in windy conditions.

I bought this to fry a turkey for thanksgiving and it made the turkey a hit. I did another turkey the following day and it also was amazing. I have read some of the reviews saying that it takes to long to set up, maybe a half hour after you read the directions. Others said that it would not light or heat the oil up, i did not have any problems, it lite right away and took about 20 minutes to heat up 3. I also read people saying it was too expensive after buying the turkey, oil, etc. The turkey fryer does not include a turkey or oil, you must purchase this on your own. To their standards, i think i was ripped off on my bbq, it did not come with propane or steaks, maybe i’ll take it back.

It arrived quickly and works great. Even sturdier than the one i previously bought for a family member. I really enjoy deep frying and this is the product to use: well made and a good price. Deep fried shrimp is a family favorite and often requested at family functions. Deep fried turkey is included in every thanksgiving menu. I won’t have to borrow a fryer from my son-in-law next time.

Includes 10-quart fry pot and large steam/boil basket for boiling crawfish, shrimp, and vegetables

I am extremely pleased with my purchase, it is better than expected. Fast shipping, product in perfect condition, very good quality.

I picked up this set back in the spring and have used it several times since. I did several low country boils using the pot and basket during the summer and fried a turkey for thanksgiving. I am very pleased because everything i need came in one package.

This is my first ever turkey fryer, and couldn’t wait to use it. It cooks a great turkey, but quickly learned that i should have ordered the bigger fryer. The turkey i bought was only 14 pounds. I followed the directions carefully and first filled the pot with water to determine the how much oil would be needed. After removing the turkey, the water line was still above the maximum fill line. Ignoring that fact, i marked the spot, replaced the water with peanut oil and brought it up to 350 degrees. I added the bird, causing the oil to bubble rapidly. Hot oil started spewing out of the pot and soaked the floor of my shed. Now i know why they don’t advise using this on your deck. The turkey tasted great, but what a mess i had to clean up.

We have been very pleased with this product and have used it several times with great success. Some discoloration at first but that was gone after a second boil. It does not seem as heavy duty as some others (maybe the aluminum vs steel) but works great and was a bargain for all the stuff you get. Make sure you turn the gas up all the way otherwise it will take forever to boil. We have used it for low country boils, and used the smaller fryer for making tempura and fried fish. Have not tried to fry a turkey yet but i am sure it wouldn’t be a problem. My brother-in-law got one as well and he loves his too. It’s a great addition for fun outdoor cooking and for large groups.

I bought this for a gift and he likes it just fine. He uses it a few times a year for big family get togethers. Just make sure you read the directions on safety and don’t get burned with the bubbling oil. We use heavy duty welding gloves when putting turkeys in the fryer because when you first put it in,hot oil can shoot up through the neck and get your hand.

Everything about this cooker screams qualityeasy to put together, easy to use and to clean up afterwards. . Would recommend for anyone. . The pots and kettles are extra heavy duty.

Not only great for frying turkey — we also used this for steaming lobsters at a big lobster bake and it worked great. Also wonderful for steaming a large batch of corn on the cob.

This fryer was just what i was looking for. From the old reviews it seems that there was a problem with the wrong hardware being sent. This has been corrected with the one that i received. My fryer came in great shape and worked perfect. The burner is hot enough to cook even in some wind on a cold day and still maintain temp. I do have one suggestion for people cooking turkeys to use smaller birds of around 12 lbs. Or less to prevent burning of the meat. The steam basket and fry pot have worked great as well.

This product worked as expected. I have used it about five time since the families have been in town. I like the fact that this unit does not have the timer on it like some fryers do i hate that feature. This unit is great for not only the pots it came with but i have used my cast iron product on it to.

XProject 178.18 Milk Frother 14 fl oz, steel-tray-150, Silver – Five Stars

The best milkfrother i ever purchased. Quality product i can rely on in the morning to make frothed milk.

We moved to a small town that does not have any good coffee shops nearby. My husband loves getting a latte in the mornings but for almost a year we could not without traveling to the ‘bigger’ town. With the frabosk frother he can finally have what he wants. It was so good to see the contentment on his face on father’s day when i handed him ‘his’ coffee. The frabosk is easy to use and cleans like a dream. We are so glad i found this on amazon.

Have a backup in our earthquake kit .

Looks great and works great. It’s a little smaller than i expected but it’s fine for 2 regular cups of cappuccino with all the froth it makes. Heats on stove without ‘hot handle’ issues and makes froth quickly with a few plunges when removed from heat. Not even a small scratch on the steel. It didn’t ship in any special packaging, just plain (no name) box and covered in brown paper but it got the job done. If i buy a bigger one i will be ordering this same brand.

I was looking for a milk steamer and frother and this one does what it promises. You can froth cold or hot milk, and if youadd just a little sweetner you can make whip cream. Love it plus it comes right from italy.

I bought a mr coffee espresso machine. Easy to use and ready by the time the espresso is done. Would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting good creamy froth.

  • Five Stars
  • Great product! Worth the money

I was lucky to have stumbled on the frabosk frother four years ago at sur la table after years of seeking and trying frothers. This simple and inexpensive frother is absolutely the best and i have given several as gifts over the years to friends who marvelled at the amazing thick and rich cream this produced. My friend’s two daughters who both work at starbucks fell in love with my frabosk and loved making and preparing coffee while visiting. Yes, they also got one as a gift. I keep my frother in the fridge with low fat milk and not a day goes by that i don’t pull it out for my morning coffee. Yes, i use it with cold low fat or skim milk and it is heavenly. The froth is so creamy that it sits on top of your hot coffee and it is terrific over hot cocoa. Simple and wasy to use, just add milk, pump the little manual knob on the top a few times and viola’, perfect cream froth every timeno batteries, no high tech stuff, no glass to break, no plastic to get dull. The stainless steel looks brand new after all these years and it’s dishwasher friendlyhighly recommend the frabosk frothers.

I’ve been using this frother almost every day for a couple weeks, and it’s great. I use a moka pot to make my espresso roast, and i was looking for a way to get the foamy milk without buying an espresso machine. With a little skill, this works great. The trick is, finding the right temperature for your type of milk (i’m going to use a thermometer to find the just right temp). Too hot and it doesn’t keep the foam, too cold it doesn’t foam at all. But just right, you can get a nice consistency, even with almond milk. Best results so far are with whole milk. If you have a moka pot or french drip, i totally recommend this product.

My last frother was glass and it did not take long to break. Plan on buying one more for the boat.

This is the easiest and best way to froth milk. I won’t bother again with a steamer.

One of the best products to work foam.

No problem with how it works, but wish i bought one slightly larger. Keep in mind, you can only fill about half way in order to leave room for the frothing process.

This is an excellent way to prepare your hot milk ‘capuccino’ style. Place the desired amount of milk(skim;semi-skim;or whole) in the container and gently heat it up until bubbles form on the sides. Remember, warm(don’t boil) the milk. Remove from heat and then place the hand held plunger into the container and move up and down until the milk is as frothy as you like. Remove the plunger and pour the milk into the cup of espresso coffee and you have a delicious capuccino. My only quibble is that i would have preferred it teflon coated rather than pure stainless steel for ease of cleansing. Otherwise,it is a very good product.

This certainly creates a wonderful thick froth using very warm whole milk. If you heat the milk in the cappuccino maker on your stove, you’ll find that there is a residue firmly stuck on the bottom of the creamer that is difficult to clean. I wish frabosk made the creamer with a thicker metal bottom so that the milk would not stick to the bottom. Now i heat the milk up in the microwave in a cup then pour it into the cappuccino creamer thereby eliminating scrubbing the bottom of the creamer.

It works great with organic 2% milk.

After using my glass creamer (i call it a frother) for several years, i knocked it over on the counter, ending up with a very nice frothing part. This frabosk replacement is metal, so will not break when dropped. I usually heat the milk in the coffee cup in the microwave, then pour it into the frabosk creamer for frothing. But i could put the frabosk creamer directly on the stove. This is a nice size for making one or two lattes. Both parts go into the dishwasher for cleaning.

This creamer makes the creamiest head ever. I purchased one for my best friend as a gift and she loves it too.

Amazon Renewed Hurom HU-100 Masticating Slow Juicer : I love this juicer

I love this juicer, it is my baby. You know you have a good juicer when the pulp comes out dry. The clean up is a bit tedious, but that goes with juicing.

I’m extremely happy with my hurom juicer. To me, it’s the best of both worlds between the fast juicing breville and the slow juicing green star. The hurom is a fast juicer, super easy cleanup, fun and easy to use, and i love it. I get plenty of juice in one session, which is great. It quickly and efficiently juices greens like kale and romaine while flawlessly juicing cucumbers, apples, and other “watery” fruits. The pulp varied from dry (hearty leafy greens, like kale) to semi-moist (romaine, apples, etc). The juice typically had little foam, but it would depend on what i juiced to determine that. I like to strain my juice quickly with a nut milk bag after making it anyway, so if there is a little pulp or foam on it, it gets held back when straining. I have three juicers: green star, breville and the hurom.

I was so impressed with their commercial, and it makes sense to me to get a slow juicer, for the quality is so much better, but boy it is a pain to use, well, to clean really. It does simple things very easily (like apples, berries, parsley, greens believe it or not) but throw anything with some stingy texture (like celery, or mango, or pineapple) and it clogs up on you. I love the quality of the juice, but when i am taking it apart, decongesting it and putting it back together to continue my juicing, i am thinking if i would have been better off buying the breville. I cannot say you get more juice from the hurom than from the breville, because i have only used this one. Great juice quality, but you pay for it in time and patience.

I can’t believe the things i can do with it that i couldn’t do in the past with other machines – nut milk, fibrous veggies, you name it, i’ve been juicing it with the hurom. I’ve made smoothie-like juices, my own version of v-8 (without all the sodium), even a blueberry “jelly. ” i love the fact that the mortar and pestle press my fruits and veggies instead of shredding them. I read a lot before buying and this machine was said to deliver more vitamins and more actual juice from a single piece of fruit than other machines. Having seen how it works, i’m certain it does. It also doesn’t take up a lot of space on my counter, which was a total necessity for me – small space and all. And it cleans up easily, which is nice when you are totally lazy, like i am.

  • Almost perfect juicer
  • Happier with it now after using it a while
  • I broke it twice

Hurom HU-100 Masticating Slow Juicer, White (Certified Refurbished)

  • Make sure this fits
    by entering your model number.
  • Using Hurom’s cold-pressing system, 35% more juice is extracted from your foods than with traditional high-speed juicers, leaving less and drier pulp
  • Hurom’s patented Slow Squeezing TechnologyTM (SST) gently squeezes ingredients, preserving natural taste & nutrients lost by high-speed juicers that grind and crush
  • The Hurom masticating juicer can easily process fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, wheatgrass, nuts and soy to make a variety of juices, milks, sauces, marinades, even baby food

I bought the hurom slow juicer after much investigation into it and other juicers capable of juicing wheatgrass, along with fruits and veggies. It has turned out to be a fantastic juicer. I have had it for about 2 weeks now, and i use it every day, sometimes twice a day. I also have a juice man ii centrifugal juicer and while the jmii is faster at accepting material, it doesn’t do as good a job as the hsj. The jmii doesn’t do greens well, if at all. The hsj does a fantastic job at juicing loose material such as sprouts, leafy greens, wheatgrass, etc. Also getting more juice out of the material than the centrifugal type. You will have to spend more time cutting your material (fruits, veggies, etc. ) and i have found that stringing things like celery help to go a long way to keeping the process simple and issue free. Personally, i enjoy the time i spend cutting my veggies and fruits, kinda zen like.

I think if i had a perfect juicer, it would be my maid or butler making me the juice and they’d have to clean it up. That being said, i’ve read all of the reviews here and have learned a lot about this juicer. I’ve juiced carrots and beets and cilantro and beet greens and kale without much of a problem. I knew enough about the juicer after the reviews to cut the fibrous stuff into smaller pieces. I figured out that pouring about three sixteen ounce glasses of water through the juicer with it running when i finished juicing made cleanup easier. The first time i did carrots it took a while to clean the screen but pouring the water through made that much easier.

For the last four years i’ve used a centrifugal juicer and always wanted a masticating juicer, but never bought one because i knew some of them had problems juicing fruits, and also that they’re very slow. So, when i saw the advertisement for this “slow” juicer that was fast and which could juice both leafy greens and fruits equally well, i was very excited. I raptly watched the video demonstrations of its capabilities and ordered it promptly. Some of its purported advantages of extremely dry pulp, more juice, little to no foam, etc. Have fallen far short of the promises made. I notice no increased amount of juice, the foam is absolutely no less than it was with a centrifugal juicer, and unlike my trusty centrifigual juicer the hurom does a lousy job of juicing greens. Just try to juice a leaf of kale and you’ll find it gets all wound up around the screw that is supposed to be chewing it up. I have to stop, put it in reverse, which makes the top come off, then unplug it, stick my hands down around the screw and try to get some of the stuck kale out. And, if you are going to juice a green like kale, do it last or anything you try to juice afterwards will also get stuck around the screw with the kale and not get juiced.

The hurom is an amazing juicer. I am happy with my purchase and there quick delivery process. I am new to juicing and now all i think is what to juice next.

I use this juicer twice a day. I juice wheatgrass, kate, chard, lemons, limes, fennel – everything. The three posts holding the top of the unit on broke off when the chute was blocked with long fibers from fennel. It bound up and also broke the basket. Warning: cut your greens small. They replaced it immediately and the customer service was excellent. But last night i broke the little white gear inside the top that directs the juice to one side the tailings out the other.

I’ve had the hurom slow juicer for a bit over a year, and i absolutely love it. Whether i’m doing greens or soft fruit, i end up with beautiful, tasty juice. Some people complain about the pulp content with this juicer, and i find that if you put produce in slower or run the juice through the juicer a second time, pulp content is significantly lower. Since i have zero counter space in my kitchen, an old-school masticating juicer simply wasn’t an option for me; this one takes up less than a square foot of counter space. If you’re in the market for a high-quality juicer, this is the one to buy.

I don’t regret buying this juicer at all. I’ve owned it for several months and i use it nearly daily, sometimes twice a day, for vegetable and fruit drinks. I’ve made peanut butter with it too and intend to try it with other approved recipes that are outlined in the book. The parts are sturdy and the machine is quiet. This model is refreshingly efficient and wastes very little of the vegetables and fruit i put in. When the inevitable day comes when the machine stops working, i’ll certainly buy another onethe slight and rather personal annoyance concern is that when putting in items like lettuce and kale, the machine squeaks — but this is due to the texture of the thinly-cut lettuce and not anything wrong with the machine. Mixing lettuce with wet or crunchy things like cut apple pieces or carrots gets rid of that squeak immediately.

I’ve had this juicer for over 6 months now (and have been using it about every other day) and i absolutely love it. I actually bought mine used, although it looked like the previous owner probably only used it a few times. The juicer is still going strong, and i’m as happy with it as when it first arrived. I will update this review if i ever have any problems. First, here are a few general comments on juicers based on the research i did when deciding which one to buy:centrifugal juicers (ones that have a blade that spin around at high speed, for instance the jack lalanne or breville fountain) are the cheapest, and they work quite well on hard fruits/vegetables such as apples, carrots, and celery (in fact, i’ve heard they have a better yield than masticating juicers for these types of fruits/vegetables). I previously had the jack lalanne, and it was great for the occasional delicious fresh juice. However, i noticed that i had trouble getting a decent yield for softer fruits such as berries, and also leafy greens such as kale and spinach. Once i got more serious about juicing almost every day, and with more varied ingredients including leafy greens, it seemed i was wasting the money i spent on good quality produce with a poor yield. Masticating juicers such as the hurom operate by crunching/squeezing out the juice at a slow rate per minute.

This is the first juicer i’ve ever owned. I wanted to purchase the omega 8003, but it wasn’t available and the merchant suggested this juicer as it was just coming out and said that it was the newest and best juicer design. I have not been disappointed. I have been juicing most every day since august 2009, so that’s a good 6 months so far. It juices leafy greens and hard vegetables alike with no problems. I do find that with lettuce and spinach i either have to use the tamper to push it down or chase it with a carrot and then the auger grabs the carrot and everything goes through. The item title says it’s a “slow” juicer, but i find that it’s very fast and steady with little foam or noise. I would say that excluding veggie preparation i have 32 oz of juice in less than 3 minutes. I also like that there is a “kill-switch” in that the upper white part that you push the food through has to be locked into place before the machine will turn on. The only problems i have with it is that it gets plugged up when i juice pineapple and i have to cut celery very small because that tends to plug it up too.

A friend of mine bought the hurom hu-100 from amazon and said it was fantastic. She was a bit dramatic in her descriptive love for it and i attributed it to her “juice fast” high. I bought it several weeks ago and i too adore it. Its very easy to use (one of my main concerns) so easy to clean (down to 3 min. ) i haven’t done a juice fast per se but i lost 4. 5 lbs by simply having a healthy juice for breakfast. The extra few minutes it takes to cut my fruit and veggies down is really not a big deal knowing that this will help with the overall life span of my new juicer. I highly recommend this product.

This juicer is pretty good for a cold press and it is refurbished.

I would consider myself somewhat of an “intermediate juicer”. I previously owned a nice breville centrifugal juicer and was disappointed by the extremely wet pulp and minimal juice, the noise, and the complicated parts to clean. The first time i used my new hurom juicer, i was so amazed at how much juice i got and how dry the pulp was. Keep in mind that if you like to do juice fasts like myself that the juice comes out with some pulp still remaining so i would recommend also purchasing some nut milk bags (or something similar) to strain the juice before you drink it. But the juice is fantastic, delicious, and the colors are much more vibrant than anything i made with the centrifugal. Take the advise of all the reviewers and take time to chop up all your fruits and veggies before juicing. It puts a lot less strain on the motor, increases the amount of juice you get, and increases the lifetime of the juicer. I have not had any problem with it. Juicing spinach, apples, cucumbers, carrots, zucchini, etc. Overall, it is a fantastic product and worth the money.

Having lost over 120 pounds eating whole, nutritious foods and exercising six days a week, cross-training with boot camp, hiking, yoga and pilates, kayaking, snowshoeing, zumba, weight lifting, etc. I’m already pretty darn healthy with boundless energy. I eat primarily a paleo diet, with lots of wild fish, grass-fed beef, organic chicken and tons of vegetables, especially greens like kale, broccoli, etc. Snacks include berries, seaweed, greek yogurt, full-fat cheese and nuts. Some very limited whole grains like brown rice and quinoa and legumes like chick peas and black beans. I am a member of the national weight control registry, which tracks people who have lost a lot of weight and kept it off. This juicer has been my best purchase for my health in years. I had tried a juicer once before and found it a pain in the neck. But — as a breast cancer survivor — i recently watched ‘fat, sick and nearly dead’ and read about the gerson method/cancer therapy, which obviously does not work for everyone but seems to work for some. Having researched the issues with speed blending and centrifugal juicers (heat generated creates nutrient loss), i read countless reviews and determined that this hurom processing method is the best, with the possible exception of the norwalk juicer which is huge, difficult to clean, and costs over $2,400.

Easy to understand and put together. Clean up is not bad but does take a little time.

It juices virtually everything perfectly. Peel the rind off a lemon and it juices better than a citrus juicer. It does greens very well, almost all pulps come out dry without so much as a drop to wring out from it, and it looks gorgeous in a glass. Here’s how it works: you feed your produce into the feed chute and it’s processed by a black acrylic auger against a metal sieve. Basically this means the auger is chewing the produce and pressing the resulting pulp and juice against a metal screen with tiny holes. The pulp is pressed through a pulp chute while the juice is filtered through the holes and into the juice chute. Honestly, i really wanted one of the omega nutrition center juicers, but just watching the videos of making carrot juice on those things was painful. You have to jam it into the feed chute to get the carrots to go in. The amazing thing about this juicer is that the auger pulls carrots in with no effort whatsoever from the user.

I did my research because i’m starting a new journey. I haven’t used my juicer as much as i am slowly and cautiously making food changes in my day to day life. However i love this juicer and i feel better each time i use it and i am looking forward to experimenting with new recipes which calls for the special talents of this machine.

The juicer is fast as described. The only thing i have a problem with is that my apple juice comes out like apple sauce. Maybe i’m doing something wrong?.The juice seems to be pretty thick to me. ***update***ok, i contacted the hurom company directly about my ‘apple sauce’ results. They suggested i use hard apples like fuji, granny and honeycrisp etc. I went out and got some fuji and then tried them in my hurom juicer. I am so glad because i really like fresh apple, carrot and celery.

My daughter (age 24) got one of these and told me about it. I decided to buy one myself, so that when she came home for thanksgiving we could make juice together with it. Wow, what a great thingi love how i can make juice from any organic fruits or vegetables. You can make juice, or you can use the pulp and make things like carrot bread, meatloaf, soy milk, so cooland fun to use, no kidding. I’ve been making all sorts of things this week, and to think how healthy it all is. I made a juice using stringbeans, ginger and apple (i think apple), a citrus blast using all kinds of oranges, meatloaf, two different dips, a couple different green smoothies, whatever you have hanging around can be ‘cold pressed’ to extract the goodness from it, and down the hatch.
