SEAL-A-MEAL VS108-P Vacuum Sealer, Great product

This is the second seal-a-meal i’ve owned. The first one stopped working after some years of light-duty use. I felt it should have lasted longer, but i bought another one hoping for the best. This one stopped after only 1 year and five months (with, again, light-duty use). There is only a 1 year warranty. The heating element is not working. Update: i called the company and kim walked me through a solution to the problem. The soft rubber gaskets on the top and bottom of the unit can dry out. You can rehydrate them by dipping your finger in water and running it along them.

Had the older model which was a pain, for it hurt my hands to press down on it. I have lupus (ra), so this one is great.Great price, which saves me money, for i buy in bulk and freeze just about everything. Thumbs up for this product, and i usually don’t give that high of a rating. So, enjoy if you buy this one.

We’ve used this so many times in the past year or so since we bought it and it’s still working great. I love stocking up when there are meat sales and saving a ton of money. It’s so easy to use and very easy to clean. I can’t imagine not having one now that i’ve bought it.

Comments from buyers

, Does the job
, No point in getting more expensive sealers, this does it all just as well.

Replaced 6 year old of same type.

My husband and i do a lot of freezing and canning. This is great when things are on sale at the grocery store.

Have thought about buying one of these for years. Finally did so befor christmas. It is amazing how much better things taste after being packaged in this. So much more flavorful and fresh.

You must be patient, response is slow but the new one i got (expensive) does do the job. The used-very good from amazon warehouse had no vacuum, it had to be returned. Got my fingers crossed on this one.

Overall i thought this product was ok. It does exactly what it says in the product description but the problem i have with this unit is it doesn’t have a separate ‘seal’ button. Meaning, it sucks every bit of air out of the bag and will not seal until it’s done. So if you want to seal berries or fruit, this may not be the vacuum sealer your looking for as it will likely smash the contents in the bag. Meats and such will be just fine though. Good sealer for the price if you don’t care about smashing the contents.

This product does exactly whast it is susposed to do. It seals and removes the airand i got it at a great price. The dealer shipped quickly and send the best product for my money.

Does not seem to pull all the air out to properly seal. Still got ice crystals in the bag.

I can’t believe how much food i have thrown away over the years. With this, my food stays fresh and i can precook ribs or other items, seal them, stick them in the freezer and have a quick, home-cooked preservative free meal whenever needed.Given that i live in a 2 person household, buying in bulk never made sense because the items would spoil before we had a chance to use it–not anymore. And, my bf loves pretending he’s shifting an old-school video game while it’s sealing.

I needed a food sealer for my house. Have had this sealer in my motorhome for many years and it has always performed very well. It will pull all the air out and then it will seal the bag tight. When shopping for a unit for the house, went to walmart and purchase a sealer. It did not pull all the air out before doing a good job of sealing. Returned it and bought another brand at walmart. It suck all the air out, but wouldn’t get a good seal on the bag and air would find its way back in. I purchased the identical unit that is in motorhome for the house and am very satisfied. I use the food sealer everyday, it has to do its job well, and this one does.

I use this only to vacuum seal mason jars(with separate attachment) and it does it well. Only issue i have is you have to press hard on each side for about 6 secs in order for it to work, then it works by itself and shuts off when done.

I looked at several different food savers before making this decision and i love the save a meal vacuum. I have had no problems with my save a meal and it has already saved me lots of money. I would highly recommend this product.

This is wonderful for cooking ahead or going to sam’s and buying more than you need. I have not used it long enough to tell how well the bags protect from freezer burn. When i am sealing something juicy that i have not pre-frozen in the bag, it does not get all of the air out so that may be a problem in the future. A few tips: if you are sealing only, i. , if you bought a roll of baggie material to cut and fit, only put the edge of the cut end on the heat strip. Don’t try to put the end down in the vacuum groove or it will never seal. If you are doing a soup or something altogether liquid, it doesn’t hurt to put the meal in the bag and fold it over a few times with a chip clip, then freeze for about an hour or more. After you have frozen most of the meal, then pull it out and seal it. If you just try to seal liquid it doesn’t go so well. Grab a sharpie and fill it out before you put food and seal, otherwise you will have a time writing clearly on the bag. To use the first time, be sure the juice tray is down in the vacuum hole (removable juicy catcher) and put the end you want to seal vertically down into the vacuum chamber. If it is vertical with the chamber and you then press and hold, it will be most likely to catch and begin to function properly right away. Sometimes it is a little quirky, but overall this is a very good product that i enjoy.

My mom uses it a lot and seems to be very pleased.

I replaced an old, old sealer that no longer worked. I was happy it still does the job.

This sealer works great, is easy to use and comes at a great price.

Everyone should have one (bought this for my daughter). Store meat to avoid freezer burn – store leftovers, reheating without drying out.

Though it’s a food saver, i expected it to work a little better. It seals the food sure enough, but it’s a finicky little thing.

Especially like the accessory that allows us to vacuum pack in jars. Works great for keeping coffee(which we buy in bulk) fresh. Also great for keeping home dried fruit in best shape.

Someone else i know has this model. I just happened to find the same & buy it. I’ve done several items (chicken breasts, spaghetti, beans & rice), nothing with liquid yet though and it’s been simple. I was surprised it came with the tube so that if i want to get the jar adapter i could. I thought it was going to be an extra piece to buy. This came with a few bags and there’s no extra parts to lose. 1 sealer, and a owners manual.

Was skeptical about vacuum sealers for a long, but very glad i purchased this one. We have used it many many times and does the job very well. Easy to use, definitely recommend for the value.

RCA 1.1 Cubic Feet Stainless Steel Microwave Oven, Five Stars

Almost 8 month and still no issues.

Ordered it for my son’s apartment at college and it arrived on time and he told me its great.

This microwave works well, as a microwave. I haven’t tried the grill function. It is a bit noisy when it first starts but it works splendidly.

“Not too shabby
, Five Stars
, Awesome purchase

Bought this microwave for our office break room. It seems to operate quietly and is a lot bigger than most microwaves in it’s price range. I’ve only had it about a month and time will tell if it is long lasting.

We received this sooner then we expected, and it works great. Packaging was damaged and so was microwave, but it does what we need until we get into our new house and can get the one we really want. I’ve read the other reviews and i really don’t understand why they would say things like ‘the reminder beep is irritating’ or ‘the popcorn button burned my popcorn’. . My husband and i both talked about it and we have never owned a microwave that didn’t have the reminder beep (it’s a great feature to have), nor have we ever had a microwave that the preset buttons worked like they are suppose to; there’s just too many variables to depend on the manufacturer to be able to preset these buttons according to the thousands of different types of foods. You learn as you go to use those buttons as a guide and figure out when to shut it off. I never use the presets, but my husband does and just listens for when the popcorn quits popping, then pulls it out. I gave this 4 stars because of the packaging and damage, and because it’s not really stainless steel. Other then that it’s a great sized and works wonderfully.

Nice microwave even though it was a different model number then stated. Did have a few dents on the top from factory because box was not damaged. All i all worth it for what i paid.

Good, but i would rather not have the convection unit in it.

Does well for the price point. The only down side i e found is when using just the timer it isn’t very good at alerting you. It’s just a beep and then gone. Popcorn button burns popcorn like every other microwave out there, but the pizza button does well.

Got this on sale and well worth it.

Been super satisfied withis micro. Works terrific, light-weight, and easy to clean.

Very heavy and worst of all, very noisy (makes it difficult to use late at night). Only upside is that it’s cheap and it works, but if you can spend a little more, you definitely should.

Fast shipping, good quality, works well, all as expected through amazon.

My favorite part of this is that it has a child lock on it.

I’ve never used the grill feature, but this is a good, large microwave for a good price. I am only giving 4/5 stars because something about the design and controls makes it feel very dated. Still, this is a great workhorse in my kitchen.

Great product – and couldn’t beat the cost.

Nice but it dosent allow you to add time while cooking or do certain things.

I bought this on lightning deal for half the price and am very pleased. I’ve been using it for around a month and a half and have no complaints.

2 years after we bought it it is still working.

Good little microwave for the price.

Purchased through amazon warehouse deals, came in perfect shape, works great, a wonderful deal for a little over $50.

Was suprised when delivered was not as damaged as i was thinking it would be. Well worth the money spent and works great. Definately will be paying more attention to the amazon warehouse deals. Have had no issues with annoying beeps as others have mentioned. Seems to cook leftovers nicely. Plenty of room inside for large items. Have not tried preset cook buttons but dont ever use them anyways.

Nice microwave not cheap or too small. Rca you still produce excellent products.

Appears to be a quality product. Unit is easy to operate and performs as expected. Item found at great price on amazon and delivered quickly.

Good microwave for the office. We got this to put in one of our training centers. It is easy to use and works well.

Keurig ® Platinum K75 Gourmet Single Cup Coffee & Tea Brewing System Added Value: 60 K-Cups & My K-Cup Reusable Filter : Great Coffee maker

One of the best single cup brewer i have owned.

The keurig platinum k75 we bought is truly everything we expected it to be. The coffe is perfect every time and the choices are great. My husband and i like different coffee strenghts and flavors and now we can each have our preference every time. For years we used a thermal carafe because we disliked the burnt taste of the coffee in a glass carafe that sat on a burner after as little as 30 minutes. The thermal carafe kept the coffee hot with no burnt taste and it was on a timer so as soon as we walked into the kitchen the coffee was ready and waiting. With the keurig we set the timer so the water is ready and all that is needed is to brew the cup you want in less than 30 seconds. We were concerned that we use 20oz mugs but when we open the lid and reclose it and run the cycle a second time with the 10oz setting the coffee is still perfect, it does not affect the strength. All in all we couldn’t be happier and would recommend the coffee maker highly.

That’s because i love to coffee that’s for the reason buy coffee maker i like it so much i recommend to my friends.

I bought this for my wife because she has wanted one forever, she loves this thing so much i think she is going to wear it out in just a few weeks.

It was delivered ontime, and was set up in moments. I have an older model, but bought this one for my partner. It is the definition of instant gratification.

Keurig® Platinum K75 Gourmet Single Cup Coffee & Tea Brewing System Added Value: 60 K-Cups & My K-Cup Reusable Filter : This is my second keurig, which we bought due to a lack of selection of coffee/tea for the keurig vue which we received at christmas as a gift. The machine was perfectly packaged, and easy to unpack and set up. The instruction’s are easy to follow and within fifteen minutes of opening the box, had our first excellent cup of coffee. Very quiet to operate, and the timer worked perfectly this morning. Looking forward to the 250 flavors now available for the k-cup. Still, it’s a shame the vue was not supported better by keurig.

We are using less coffee with the k coup and having fress coffee every time. Easy to use and looks better than the old unit.

This is a xmas gift for my sister and she is loving this machine to the fullest nice and simple.

I resisted the idea of a single-serve coffeemaker for a long time, thinking them overpriced and faddish. Then i ‘enjoyed’ a day of jury duty where the main benefit of sitting in the crowded jury room was being able to have free coffee from a keurig machine. That’s all it took for me to realize how good a cup of coffee made to order could be. I love that i can have a dark roast while my husband can have a chai latte. We don’t dump coffee down the sink at the end of the day. We don’t have coffee that tastes like charred wood after sitting on a burner for several hours. Every cup is hot and delicious.

And my girlfriend loves me for it. I was surprised that you have to buy filters for your water even when using filtered water ( go figure ) but other than that i am sold.

I did a lot of research before buying the platinum k75. I bought it with a little trepidation after reading some of the negative reviews, such as a plastic taste in the coffee, pumps not working, low build quality, noisy, etc. I bought the k75 with the included 5 k-cup sampler packs, my k-cup, and water filter. I wanted the coffee samplers so i could check out various brands of coffee even though i planned on using the my-k-cup coffee holder to keep costs down. When i received the unit i washed the 72 ounce water reservoir, k-cup holder, water filter, and my-k-cup in hot soapy water and put the unit together. I was impressed with the build quality – it looks first class. The water filter goes inside of the reservoir and snaps into the base. The suggestion is to replace the bag filter, a small sack of what looks like carbon granules, every 2 months or 60 reservoirs of water. I filled the reservoir and turned the unit on. It tool just a few minutes to heat up and indicate ready on the lcd.

Arrived promptly & was everything as advertised. Good product/s for the cost. So glad extra coffees & filter were added bonuses.

Been very happy with this platinum and my elite. Sadly can’t say the same about the new touch screen model i picked up and returned to costco.

This keurig is very easy to use and to clean. Came with charcoal water filter so the water is as good as it gets considering i fill the reservoir with filtered water to begin with. Mine came with over 72 k cups so that too was very convenient and allowed me to try numerous flavors. I prefer the dark magic and donut shop coffees, fuller flavor and stronger roasts. Also the italian roast was very nice. Mine also came with make your own k cups. Have not tried that item yet. What iike most about this keurig is the the fast cup of coffee i can make before i head into work each morning. Saves me time and money and the taste is just right once you find the right size setting.

I’d resisted these machines. I drink a lot of coffee and i worried about the cost of the kcups. Well, it is a little pricier to use them, but i love the convenience of the system and the variety of coffees available to try. Using the diy kcups (the kind you put your own grounds into) is easy, but a pain to clean the little mesh filters. I’ll just stick to the prepackaged kcups.

It saves me from dumping half a pot of burnt coffee, since i can brew a cup at a time. The k cup selection that came with this system is wonderful. The reuseable k cup is great as well.

This was everything we were hoping for. I looked at several different models before purchasing because i felt like it was a lot of money for a coffee maker. After seeing the different features i thought this was the one because i could make a larger cup of coffee or a little cup of tea and i drink both often. We’ve had this product for a few weeks now and i know it was worth every penny.

My wife, the dog, or the keurig. Decisions, decisions, decisions. But i’m glad i found this thing.

This product delivers on everything; it is easy to use, works fast, and offers different strengths depending on the cup size.

All has gone well, in fact far better then expected. The best part is being able to use ground coffee.

I love the large water reserve and you can use any type of cups. We have a small office and this machine is perfect for us.

Saves time by already having the water hot so when you push brew it almost immediately starts brewing. And being able to have multiple cup size settings make it nice for not only coffee but for my tea as well.

Primo Bottom Loading Water Cooler – 3 Temperature Settings – Good options but wish primo would last a little longer

This is our second primo (first one last 5 1/2 years). Like it because we don’t have to invert the water jugs. Like having cool, hot for tea, and room temperature water. Wish it would have lasted a little longer (the first primo we bought had cool water line stop working after 4 years) and a little less expensive but other than that really like it.

Can refill at walmart for 3 bucks.

Works great and looks great . Here are the specifications for the Primo Bottom Loading Water Cooler – 3 Temperature Settings:

  • Make sure this fits
    by entering your model number.
  • Coupons for Primo water included – Redeemable at thousands of retail locations nationwide.
  • Dispenses ice-cold, cool, and piping-hot water with the push of a button. Hot water includes child-resistant safety feature.
  • Easy bottom loading design eliminates lifting and flipping while loading Primo water. Bottles are concealed inside the cabinet for a clean look. No plumbing required!
  • Stainless steel door panel and water reservoirs provide durability and the removable, stainless steel drip tray is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.
  • UL Certified and Energy Star Rated. Includes a 1-Year Limited Warranty.

A must have for primo water users. It eliminates back pains from lifting heavy bottles to standard dispensers.

I read a lot of bad reviews when shopping for my water cooler. I have had no issues with this product at all. It makes water hot enough to make tea and the cold water is cold. No leaks or problems what so ever.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Such a great purchase!
  • Fresh H2O ***in my water boy voice***
  • Great Appliance

Purchased for work reception area has been an amazing asset.

After having my previous primo premium effortless water dispenser for six years, i am ordering another one. 00 more than my first one but we love it.

I love having a water cooler in my bedroom. It is very convenient and fresh very cold and very hot water dispense immediately. My only thing is it is somewhat loud when it is actively cooling & or heating otherwise it is great and would recommend it to all.

Works perfect and easy quick set up. This is for my home gym and has cold luke warm and hot.

Nice score on price on this. Perfect, i own machine and just pay for water delivery. Beautiful design, sleek, classy. Love bottom load for ease on my back. Everyone always asks about it.

Easy to set up and works well.

Had mine just two months and i really like it.

Love the hot and cold water – instant and quick.

I have had this unit for three years now and have concluded:pros1. It has run trouble free with heavy use. It is attractive in a room with black and stainless accents. The hot water is steaming hot. It makes a constant humming noise and always has. Sometimes i don’t hear it, but sometimes i find it annoying and turn the unit off, like i just did, which prompted me to write this review. If i want a quiet room, it must be turned off. Water dispenses slowly to the extent that i keep a separate filtered water pitcher on the counter for making coffee. The water is cool enough, but cold is not a word that would fit appropriately. Did i say it makes this constant humming noise. In conclusion, the cooler has been okay, but not great. I have decided to replace it with something more quiet with a higher water flow so i cannot recommend this product.

No more having to upend bottle – just slide in. Had one for over a year and only had trouble with cleaning the spigots after year of use which needed sediment cleaned out of line.

And the hot is perfect for my ramen cup.

Really happy with this cooler.

We bought this same unit @ walmart (with free delivery) for $168. Although the appearance is better than any water dispenser out there, and the ability to load the heavy bottles on the bottom, it is not chilled cold water which is a huge disappointment since we were trying to eliminate shelf space in the frig with cold bottled water. The dispenser is somewhat short, therefore we raised ours using a milk crate. We haven’t experienced any leaks or noise as stated in other reviews (so far). In my personal opinion, the product isn’t worth $168-$202, although when you research all the available water dispensers out there, this is rated the highest. You would think for the price of this unit, it would operate correctly. Update: september 29, 2013 – the dispenser does eventually get cold enough for chilled water. It took about three days from the time of hook-up to notice the difference, therefore i have changed my rating from 3 stars to 5. Apparently i should have waited before i posted my first review.

The cold is freezing and the hot is boiling. Then the room temp is just right. I leave the hot and cold and light switch on, always. Don’t know if that’s bad for the unit. No leaks in the month i have had it. Only thing is that the hose rattles or vibrates against the water jug and it is loud and annoying. I padded it so it wouldn’t be as loud. But everytime u press one of the buttons for water, it’ll ratlle for as long after that you pressed it for.

It looks sleek and definitely compliments by stainless steel and black kitchen finishes. It is a comfortable size and i love the fact that the water jug is hidden on the bottom. Just put the 5 gallon jug (i got a reuseable non primo jug and it worked easily and has a screw on cap) and push the pump down. You wait 5 minutes for the water to cool/heat the first time you put in a fresh jug and then ready to go. It’s a little loud during those 5 minutes but after that and when pouring water it’s silent. A 5 gallon refill at a refill station is 1.

I have water delivery and have used the water cooler that came with my initial set up. My biggest complaint was that it was top loading and i always get some water on the floor. 5 gallons of water is heavy and clumsy. Also, i started to notice white flake floating around in my water every time the water gurgled. Then, l found this cooler at sam’s club. I wasn’t particularly looking for it, just came upon it while walking through an aisle. This is a very nice looking cooler with some great features. I like that it has a self cleaning features, whereas it is an approximately 45 minute process (you can’t use it during that time), and it creates some kind of ozone that sterilizes it and is then released as gas. That’s best i can understand. It has a light on it that comes on when the water is low, that way you know when it needs changing. Cold is cold, hot is hot and cool somewhere in between. The best feature imo is the simple fact that it is bottom loading. No more lugging around heavy bottles of water, having to get a grip and turning it upside down.
