DASH DRGS012BK Rapid Skillet 12″ – Three Stars

I really like this, yes,its light, but it works just as good as my heavy skillet, if not betterand much easier to clean.

Very good for baing everything.

I am only cooking for one, and was looking for a smallish electric skillet. The burner element does not cover the entire bottom of the pan, it is a circle in the middle. I have never seen an electric skillet in any other configuration. Much easier to pick up and move than other electric skillets. ***i cooked bird’s eye sweet and sour chicken voila, family size which calls for a 12 inch skillet. I used the entire bag and both packets of sauce. At first the lid would not sit on the rim, because honestly that was too much food for it. But as the food cooked, the lid did finally fit on the rim. The liquid (sauce and water called for in the instructions) was too much for this size pan, and spilled over onto the counter. The food was well cooked, and not too much liquid was lost. I would not cook the entire package in this pan again, but since the sauce comes in two pouches i can make half at a time. ***it is pretty shallow, but not the 1/4 inch one reviewer claims. I’m not looking at the pan at the moment but i estimate it is about 1 inch to maybe 1 and 1/4 inch deep. Here are the specifications for the DASH DRGS012BK Rapid Skillet 12″:

  • Make sure this fits
    by entering your model number.
  • Round 12″ cooking vessel allows you to cook pizza, cakes, and more unlike traditional shaped skillets
  • The electric probe detaches and the skillet goes right to the table for serving
  • Non-Stick Ceramic coating makes for easy cleanup
  • Heats to 450 degrees
  • 1-year manufacturer warranty, recipe book and access to our growing database of recipes included

The glass lid allows you to see what you are cooking. The cooking surface heats evenly. To ensure that you don’t get water in the connection, place the outlet at the 12 o’clock position when emptying out the dishwater. The electrical plug is tight, so you have to align it perfectly, being careful not to force it in. I will be using this for a while.

The heating on this is crazy hot. And forget trying to fry anything in this pan it’ll burn you up.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • I really like this, yes
  • The heat ring 🙁
  • Three Stars

Wish it was a little deeper.

I thought it was a smaller version of the 14 inch one, but it’s not. I like the rapid heat part, but other than that it’s just a shallow electric skillet. I was expecting one that heated all over, not just a ring in the bottom. Guess i should have known as there is a big price difference between the 12 and the new 14 inch. I use it , and it’s very good for what it can be used for. Foods cook fast and taste very good.

I really like this skillet great for cooking a whole meal for 2.

I use it for almost everything. It heats quickly and evenly and is a breeze to clean. I only wish they made a 10′ as i live alone and a 12′ is larger than i need.

It didn’t cost much, it looks cheap when you actually see it up close, but seemed to cook much better, with more temp control than the more expensive ones i’ve tried .

Nestle Nespresso Nespresso D121-US4-BK-NE1 Citiz Espresso Maker, Love how simple it is to operate and the lattes

This is our forth nespresso machine and by far the best. The basic coffee/expresso functions all work perfectly as you would expect. What sets is apart is the milk frother. You simply pour a bit of milk into the frother and press the button. Spoon it in the cup and add 2 shots of expresso for a perfect cappuccino. The frothed is easy to rinse out, even if you forget to do it for 24 hours. Way easier than the steam wand design.

Coffe is really awesome, but as many people wrote here, there is a leak. Also my coffe machine does not have an on/off button, as showed on the advertisement.

“Great Machine for Quick Coffee Drinks and Little Clean up.
, Great little machine
, This is the best decision I ever made in terms of spending money

Nespresso is the real deal for those who really care about their java. The aeroccino frother perfects my lattes. My breville espresso maker is idled because i can’t come close to the quality and satisfaction i experience with my nespresso espresso beverages. I first used nespresso in hotel rooms in italy, have been hooked ever since. If you seek italian restaurant quality coffee on demand in your home, nespresso ends your search.

This is the best decision i ever made in terms of spending money on an appliance. I can’t drink regular coffee anymore after the nespresso. Coffee pods are a bit expensive but i am willing to spend the money on a good espresso that i don’t have to buy at starbucks or another coffee shop.

Couldn’t be happier with this espresso maker.

The best cup of coffee every time hands down. I am so gald i found out about this.

Returned item the first time because booklet indicated 1 frother and one stirrer. Second shipment had only the frother and no stirrer. Apparently not included in this model.

I have a friend that has this machine and after i tried it i was sold on it. My husband bought it for me and we love it a lot. It’s fast and easy and the coffee is amazing. I always wake up excited to have a cup of coffee. Probably one of the best investments. We had an espresso machine and it required a lot of work and time that i didn’t have in the morning.

I was in the market for a single brew machine. I opted for nespresso over other brands because i read all the other great reviews, besides i enjoy ‘americanos’. Must say though that my first machine did not work at all. Water spilled all over the counter. I called nespresso directly and they replaced my machine with another one. One another note, i purchased my nespresso with the aerocino, the milk frother. Our morning weekend treats are homemade cappuccinos, and personally i think they are better than the coffee shop ones.

We have the regular nespresso without the frother at one home in red – and just love the convenience of a good espresso to compliment our love of coffee. We decided to take it to the next level with the frother instead of buying a separate frother for $79-99 – and are very pleased. It makes a great frothy foam with skim milk, half & half, and even flavored coffee creams. The newer controls to automatically turn it off are a nice feature.

It is very noisy, and using the descaling cleaner was kind of a task but i use it maybe 4 times a week and i’ve had it for 2+ years now. I didn’t regret this purchase one bit.

I see that a lot of people are not happy about the machine or the coffee or the absence of on/off button. As far as the button goes, it’s so easy to use that after using it literally once or twice the fact that this specific machine doesn’t come with the button will not bother you a bit. You push any one of the buttons on top, once they stop blinking, the water is hot enough and you are ready for brewing. The cool part is that you can set the amount of coffee/espresso to be made to your own liking. Just hold the button until the desired level in the cup is achieved and next time the machine will make that same amount. Repeat the same procedure for the other button. I can’t believe some people are complaining about the quality of the actual coffee. It is the smoothest coffee i have tried so far in the usa. Unless you’re comparing it to turkish/arabic coffee (talking about the properly made kind) or the actual italian coffee at some little italian cafe.It is very smooth, has no aftertaste, flavors and intensity assortment is great.

Makes great espressos and cappuccinos. Good service from nespresso on new cartridges.

The best investment i have done. I don’t remember the last time i went to a starbucks. The customer support is great, the quality of the espresso is superior and the aeroccino makes froth cold or hot. I can use any milk ( coconut and almond creamer is preferred) this was the best purchase i did in 2015.

I do not like the taste of nespresso espresso (i have semi-auto + lavazza for this purpose). I generally use this machine to make quick latte and it has save me so much time.

Love the coffee and great machine.

Hot, great steamer, frothier.

My husband and i had the best coffee every morning while visiting a friend in switzerland. Our friend used a nespresso machine. It was the next model up from this actually. However, i decided to give this one a shot and purchased this machine for my husband’s birthday. It’s simple and fast and saves me money (by having less trips to the coffee shop for my espresso). I think this is worth every penny i spent.

Gf loves to come over and make herself coffees. Ill even waker her up with a cup. Definitely great coffee for entertain and everyday use.

Among the best product investments i’ve ever made. This is an outstanding product for its reliability, quality, and ease of use. Before finally making the sensible choice to spend a little more on a nespresso we tried a few different traditional espresso machines that required packing grounds, building up steam pressure, etc. All of those ended in frustration but nespresso has solved all our problems. I’ve since told a number of people looking for latte / espresso machines to look no further. It rarely needs cleaning, it never leaks, it makes a consistent espresso, and the milk frother is simple to use and very easy to clean. Only downsides are that the espresso is not as hot as some people might like; personally i’m fine with that. Second, the pods are difficult to find in stores so you really need to order online from nespresso. They are expensive but, in the end it is still remarkably cheaper than going to a coffee shop and getting a similar result.

Great machine and great coffee quality. Reminds me of european coffee.

We lived overseas for 15 years and have had some great coffee in the u. And australia, and believe me i never would have thought that a pod-based coffee machine could make anything i would want to drink. My in-laws have a keurig and the coffee coming out of that thing was rather unpleasant. We used to have a gaggia classic espresso machine and used it for a few years, but the problem with the manual machines is that one pull would be excellent and then another one would come out bitter. It was very difficult to be consistent which i found frustrating especially when trying to make coffee for guests, and it was time consuming to make more than one or two. Just got this citiz after days and days of research and we are blown away by the quality of the espresso and coffee this machine produces. There is very nice crema that even passes the sugar test, and it smells fabulous.

So glad we made this purchase. It’s quick and easy to use, easy to clean, and has mad our lives better and saved us so much money that we used to spend buying coffee out.

BUNN Ronco Inventions ST4000 Showtime Indoor Rotisserie and BBQ – Ronco Oven

I have really enjoyed this machine. I read many reviews on the product before i purchased it and as a result of some of the negative reviews i decided to purchase a remanufactured rotisserie (st4000) for only $79 and free shipping. I thought perhaps purchasing a remanufacture product would take care the glitches mentioned in the other reviews. The unit comes fully packaged and looks new. It is a title on the tall side, but not too wide & not much bigger than a convection oven. For those of you who have low cabinet space consider purchasing the smaller unit. I have and island in my kitchen so its perfect. The key is to clean the unit as soon as your meal is done.

I always clean it right after use and have no problems with it.

I was extemely skeptical, but being somewhat of an impulse shopper, my wife and i decided to order one with our wedding money after getting back from our honeymoon. We’ve never regretted it, as we use it more than our conventional oven. Particularly delicious is poultry and fowl. We’ve never tried ribs, but we tried roasts and other types of meat, however, turkey and chicken always come out the best. The shishkabobs come out pretty nice as well. So why four stars, instead of five?. Basically the one problem we ran into with this unit was not in the rotisserie, but the steam tray. It worked pretty good until the paint began chipping underneath the steam part which holds the vegetables. (although not on the main unit itself. ) also fish came out dry until we figured out how many, and what type of, vegetables to place in the basket with the fish. Here are the specifications for the BUNN Ronco Inventions ST4000 Showtime Indoor Rotisserie and BBQ:

  • Make sure this fits
    by entering your model number.
  • Large enough to hold two chickens or a 15-pound turkey
  • Pause setting permits meats to be browned on spit
  • Tray fits atop rotisserie for steaming foods
  • Included: 6 kabob rods, flavor-injecting syringe, heavy gloves, 12 elastic ties
  • Special Packaging includes Knife and Shear set

I was flipping channels one night, and the showtime rotisserie infomercial caught my eye. While i am a lifelong vegetarian, my husband loves a good roast, so i bought the rotisserie (i would’ve preferred the compact model, but it wasn’t offered here in australia). This appliance appears to be of good quality. I can’t say how durable it is, as we’ve only used it once (that was enough, as some will find at clean-up time). Thankfully, the glass door is removable so that it can be washed in the sink, but i was a nervous wreck about knocking it and breaking it (i have no idea if it’s even possible to get a replacement door). It is difficult to clean inside, as there is a reflective shield behind the heating elements. Vaporized grease would surely migrate there. Imagine having to fully clean your normal oven every time you use it. That’s what this is like, except that it’s really greasy. The showtime was used for a christmas roast, and as christmas is in the summer down here, it made the kitchen really heat up.

Having read through the many reviews of this product, i thought i would weigh in with my two cents. I purchased the showtime the first time i saw it on an infomercial over five years ago. I have made a ten pound prime rib roast, a fifteen pound turkey, whole chickens and countless chicken parts. I have never had a meal turn out less than perfect. I have had to replace the bulb for the interior light so this should tell you how often i have used the rotisserie. To be sure, the unit looks used, with paint chips and burn marks around the exterior where the glass door meets the metal but this is a testament to its reliability throughout the years. I use this product more than any other appliance in the kitchen and when it ceases to function, i will replace it immediately. I have read complaints about smoke and fumes and i have to say that this has never occured when i have used my showtime. If i was to complain at all about the unit, it would concern the cleanup. The non-stick drip tray isn’t all that easy to clean and you really have to spray the interior of the unit (i use simple green) each time to avoid unpleasant odors.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Tacky advertising – but it works as advertised!
  • everything I put in that rotisserie comes off nice I wouldn’t trade it in for the world I
  • Great.

This is without a doubt one of the best birthday gifts i’ve every received. Chicken, pork, duck, pot roast. All prepared in the rotisserie with succulent results. I also tried to cook corned beef in the rotisserie but that didn’t turn out so well (it was a little tough and undercooked in the middle). The vegetable steamer works wonderfully as long as you time the veggies so that they don’t overcook. I live in a condo building and the neighbors always know when the rotisserie is going. This is a must have kitchen appliance. It uses very little space (i sit mine on top of the microwave). I figure i’ll experiment with just about every type of meat i can think of.

After over a year of use, we are still happy with our ‘ronco’. Without a doubt, the best use is for rotisserie style chicken. It cooks them quickly, evenly and juicy. Beef products have been a disappointment. It disassembles easily for cleaning. And you really can ‘set it – and forget it’.

After seing it in an info-commercial, i have decided to purchase it and give it a try. At first, i was rather pleased. The machine started making squeaky noises as the wheel would turn. After that, i noticed that the built-in timer wasn’t accurate. The metal vegetable compartment is a real joke. Vegetables turn out dry and the container is cheap. Cleaning is a lot of trouble. The metal reflector behind the element becomes very dirty & practically uncleanable. The good side to the rotisserie is that the poultry comes out delicious.

I watched the commercials and after seeing about 10 finally bought it off qvc for a lower price. I am very happy with it, i am a mess in the kitchen and this has saved dinner for my family. It cooks chicken that is very tender and full of flavor not dry at all. I have cooked meats that were right out of the freezer and that didn’t seem to make a difference. Also it cooks so many different meats, veggies. It is large enough to handle large turkies and roasts, but takes up only a resonable amount of space. It does get very hot when cooking so keep kids away. But it is so easy to use and clean and great food comes out with almost no effort. I definitly recommend this to anyone who needs or wants a helping hand in the kitchen.

The first weeks after i got the showtime rotisserie, i cooked everything in it that i could think of. Turkey, ham, chickens, fish, pork chops, vegetables, burgers, steaks, hot dogs, etc. I kept thinking that it couldn’t be as good as they say it is. But everytime, it exceeded my expectations. It makes the moistest, most flavorful meats, vegetables, fish and poulty that i have ever seen. I even took it to my office for our holiday potluck and cooked the ham right in the office. If you like great food that is super easy to cook, get this item. The only thing i had to adjust is on larger meats, i check it with a meat thermometer and have had to cook it a little longer but it still turns out great.

I love rotisserie chicken and turkey. So much so that i used to purchase several chickens and 1 or 2 turkey breast halves each week at the deli department of my local supermarket (my entire family shares my love of poultry cooked in a rotisserie). Three months ago, i bought this machine and have never looked back. I was paying $7 for a small chicken and $10 for half of a very small turkey breast. Now, i get them for half that amount and they are ready whenever i am in the mood. Plus it may be my imagination, but i think the ones i cook are better than the ones i used to buy. Just the other day, the deli department was asking why i never buy from them and i couldn’t help telling about my showtime rotisserie and how great everything cooked in it tastes. I discovered that if i am careful to center the chicken/turkey/or other meat on the spit not only from end to end but also so that parts of the item cooking are always equi-distance from the cooking surface as it rotates. Since i have begun being exacting about placement, it has always cooked within the time estimated.

I asked for this about 2 years ago for my birthday and my wife obliged. It looked like it was worth the gamble back then. The showtime makes the best (juicy) poultry i have ever had at home consistently. Chickens, ducks, and poussin are my favorite items to make along with a boneless rib roast and leg of lamb. The machine does let smoke escape, so you should place it near a venting unit or an open window when in operation. It is very easy to clean up thanks to the nonstick coatings on many of the pieces. The kebab rods are really good too as they rotate individually in addition to the wheel rotation. This is a great, compact unit that does a wonderful job on poultry and roasts. It is well worth the money and my kitchen will not be without one of these (will replace my unit if it ever needs to be).

Great product – i stand mine on top of my electric oven, on a rigid heat-resistant mat, under the fan hood. A timer that stops the cooking instead of just beeping is brilliant. As are the removable parts which all go into the dishwasher. As for counter space, i never use my oven anymore. That took 15 minutes to heat up – the rotisserie needs no warming time; it’s great. I do add five – eight minutes onto the cooking times for chicken from the fridge, it needs that. But all the instructions are focused on the great results with meat. I’ve gotten used to microwaving vegetables – and i wish someone had recommended steaming times?.Obviously you can’t add vegetables for as long as roasted meat – but it would help to know when you could add them on top – half an hour before the end, perhaps?.

This was a corny gift i received, but i like to cook so i put it on my xmas list. My kids got a kick out of buying it for me, i get a kick out of using it. Pretty well made, replacement parts are available from ronco. Com, and this thing makes the best darn chicken i have ever cooked at home. I even tried steaks and they came out pretty good too. Easy to clean, easy to cook, easy to buy accessories. . I was surprised and impressed, now i have to lobby with my wife to leave it on the counter all the time. . You really cannot make a mistake with this, and the price is really reasonable for what it does.

It arrived in great condition.

The rotisserie works very well so far. Positives — we like the way it cooks food, but it takes longer to cook to our taste than the instructions indicate. Cleanup is really easy (but follow the instructions to line the back with foil). We use it on the porch which gets the heat and cooking odors out of the house. It has done a turkey, chickens and a beef top round roast (which came out tough). Not so positives — it is supposed to hold a 15 pound turkey but we had to squeeze to get a 14 pounder in. Don’t put onions, carrots, etc. In the bird – instant ejection. Plan on 50% additional cooking time. We haven’t used the basket yet because the food in the center is a lot farther from the heat than the food on the sides of the basket.

I have had the same 4000 rotisserie for 18 years now. It is easy to use and easy to clean. Remove the spit unit and bottom trays and heat shield and put them in your dishwasher. Spray some krud kutter on the inside walls and wipe off, rinse your sponge and re-wipe the walls a couple of times. The door also fits nicely in the dishwasher and comes out very clean. If you haven’t cleaned it for a long time, use two detergent pods. Yes it gets hot, but i have it sitting on top of my clothes dryer and do not think it overheats the laundry area/kitchen in my home, even in the summer. It makes the best chicken, pork loin, prime rib and leg of lamb you have ever eaten. I do check the timer and periodically the temp of the meat, so i guess i don’t really ‘forget it’. If i have company i can turn off the heat for a while to delay the meat being finished too soon. It is just about fool proof. 00 for it, 18 years ago and it is still going strong.

Everything i put in that rotisserie comes off nice i wouldn’t trade it in for the world i love my rotisserie i really got my money’s worth out of that it’s really worth the money.

Overall this product was remarkable. It cooked the best prime rib i have ever eaten, but their is a downside to this oven just to let you all know. The oven is not as smoke free as it is shown in the infomercial. When we were cooking a prime rib roast, the whole first floor was engulfed with a thick smoke similar to cooking with a wok. You maybe saying that i did not read the instructions before using it, but i got other people to look at it and it is just the way it is when the oil falls onto the tray and evaporates due to the hot temperature which produces smoke. By smoke i do not mean like the kind you get when you burn wood. Other than that the oven performed very well from what i can see. Unfortunately, i used this only 6 times, the rotating motor failed. The heating elements will not work if the rotating motor fails. Because it costs so much to repair, we rest it to the landfills.

This machine is a great addition to any home. It does have its cons, but overall the meals produce from this modern marvel are awesome. I have never had dry chicken come out of this machine, ribs are moist and delicious, lamb comes out awesome. Heck, i have even done some venison roast with this insane carnivore contraption, and they came out mouth-watering good. Couple of weak points, this thing can be a pain to clean. I recommend soaking the basket in dishwater while you are eating your meal. This will loosen the crusted on skin and fat to a level that well allow it to be removed by hand scrubbing. I have tried using pam cooking spray on the basket but again, remnants of baked on food remains. The plastic gloves suck, they stick to everything that is hot, so invest in some heavy duty oven mitts. In addition, that ridiculous plastic chicken carver stand that comes with this unit is better used as watering dish for your pets.

I acutally have the smaller version of this machine, that cooks up to a 12 pound turkey. It was purchased for me as a gift, since i would have never bought something like this for myself. My family has adopted the ‘atkins’ eating plan and are always looking for new ways to easily cook meats. Well this machine does it all. My friends thought i was the greatest cook in the world when i easily cooked a chicken in the machine. It smells yummy when it cooks and i have found clean up to be very easy when you line the drip pan with aluminum foil. You can also use the drippings in the pan to make great gravy if you are so inclined. The final scoop-if you live a busy life(like me) and don’t have lots of time to spend in the kitchen but want quality, quick cooking options, this machine should be on your list.

Oster 3167 450-Watt 34-Ounce Juicer – i’m a great fan of oster

The juicer does a good job, and we were well satisfied with its performance, but my wife feels that it is hard to clean. We don’t feel that we will be keeping the juicer, even though it is a good product.

I have wanted a juicer for a long time and was too stingy to buy one. Finally my husband told me to go ahead and get one. I did all the reviews on jack lalanne and a few others. I studied the reviews on this one and bought it. It’s the best thing since fitted sheets.

Does a great job juicing everything we put into it.

I have only been able to use it about 6 or 7 times but i really like it. It doesn’t take up too much space so it’s easy to store in an underneath cabinet. No leaks or machine stoppages. I didn’t want to take the plunge and spend too much on a juicer if it wasn’t going to be used. . So this fit the bill perfectly. It isn’t troublesome to use, so it motivates me to keep juicing.

I just purchased the oster juicer and i’m so glad i did. Now it’s easy to make healthy enzyme rich vegetable and fruit juices. The oster juicer is easy to take apart, clean and put right back together.

About 18 months ago at my brothers request, i watched a film called fat, sick, and nearly dead. Currently it’s on netflix online service, but it’s usually available in various forms over the web. This film was a documentary about one mans helping to cure himself with juicing. He had a auto immune disease where minor irritations would create a large release of histamines and give him a bad, painful rash. It did not help that he was obese, out of shape, and in poor overall health. In the past he’d gone on some minor detoxify ventures, but this time he was prepared to try a major one. It involved a serious juice fast, two months worth in fact and then healthy eating afterwards. Last year i tried it for one month and lost about 50 pounds. It is strange, but for some reason, the weight stayed off, after i gained back a few water weight pounds, i’ve kept off the bulk of the weight since. Part of the reason, and i’m not sure why this works is that since the juicing episode, i’ve not really felt like seriously overeating at any time.

  • I was more satisfied with my old Oster juicer
  • Serves its purpose
  • Good price for a great juicer

‘juicing’ has become something of a craze in the last few years, and as such, i’ve noticed a lot more juicers on the market. Personally, i’m not too big into making juice out of fruits and vegetables, and it’s hard to dedicate the counter/cabinet space to one of these machines. However, if you like making fresh fruit and/or vegetable juice every once in awhile or you just want to give the ‘juicing’ craze a whirl, this oster juicer would be a pretty good option since it’s not too expensive, pretty easy to use, and seems to output a fair amount of juice. There are, however, a few things to note:first, it is somewhat loud. Not horribly loud, of course, but you wouldn’t be able to listen to the radio with the machine on, for example. The noise also probably wouldn’t be the greatest thing to hear first thing in the morning while you’re making your juice, especially if you have other people in your household that you don’t want to wake up. Next, it has somewhat of a cheap look and feel, mainly due to the white-plastic exterior. This may be a personal preference, but i much prefer hefty metal appliances, as opposed to plastic ones which don’t seem like they’re going to last too long – though to be fair, the blade on this oster machine does look pretty good, and it’s worked very well so far. Finally, there’s the cleaning. I counted eight pieces to clean total, which seems like a lot to me – granted, most of these pieces you can literally just rinse out.

I’ve had a juicer by oster for years and it has kept on doing the job without a bit of trouble. I wanted to get another one to take to my vacation home and was worried that the newer version would not be as sturdy or as strong as the older one. This product is light weight, powerful, and easy to clean. It spits out totally dry vegetable shreds – in other words it really extracts the juice well. Two suggestions to make clean up especially easy: 1. Don’t delay, rinse it out right away 2. Use a toothbrush and running water to quickly remove the vegetable shreds from the fine microscreen before washing it in the dishwasher. I am using my oster juicer in a place where i have neither a dishwasher not a garbage disposal and it is still an easy clean-up. I can’t believe this machine was so cheap at amazon.

Purchased for my mother in law and she loves it. She makes carrot juice everyday. Had it for about 3 months now and no problems.

I did a side-by-side comparison to the breville 800jexl. Although that means absurdly comparing a $70 machine to a $300 machine, i just couldn’t help myself. Here is what i found:1) the user-accessible parts and basic mechanics are extremely similar. The feed chute is almost exactly the same diameter, the waste bin is about the same, the cutting head is almost interchangeable, and the breakdown of parts for wash is also almost exactly the same. This leaves few surface differences. 2) material used for screen is different. Where the breville uses a true screen, the oster uses a round piece of stainless steel whose holes are almost indecipherable to the touch. Although i can’t really see a quality difference for myself, i wonder if they’ve taken this measure to keep pulp out of the drink, but then suffer a little for it by way of some motor failure. I only say this because the manual mentions quite a few times cleaning this (although it is often unclear that they mean this part in particular) often and especially if you hear the motor working hard. Obviously, the few motor burn-outs consumers have had have hurt this product’s rating.

Okay, in my adult life, i’ve had maybe four juicers. Each worked, with varying degrees of effectiveness. This juicer has them all beat. From two (2) gala apples, i extracted more than 2 cups of juice. Closer to three, truth be told. In addition, the plastic surfaces feel slick, almost teflonesque. Makes swishing them out with water very easy. Bottom line: efficient, easy to clean, nice price.

I’m a great fan of oster, i think is the best kitchen appliances brand ever, but with this one, they missed it, is not so efficienty, the handle you use to push the furit down, does not reach the bottom, so always some fruits remain there, also the trash container is not attached to the machine and everysingle time you have to move the machine you need to pay attention not to drop it. Definitely is nothing i will advice anyone to buy. . Of course now that i have it, is fine, but i wish i had not bought it.

Some have complained that this juicer doesn’t feel that sturdily built, and at first the low price did concern me a bit. True, it’s mostly plastic and not hefty, but i think it’s stronger than it seems. Time, use, and frequent cleanings in the dishwasher will tell, of course, but so far, i’ve had good results and no wear/damage. Speaking of cleaning, i love how easy this is to clean, especially the fact that they’re dishwasher-safe. Even so, i’d recommend rinsing (soaking if necessary) in warm water immediately after using it, though, to avoid stains and more stubborn sticking of fruit/veggie parts. So far, though, no problem getting the unit clean, and it’s easy to disassemble and reassemble, not to mention store away under the cabinets on the countertop. I like the compact design, even though the unit takes up a fair amount of real estate. No power problems so far with the fruits and veggies i’ve tried, though the motor is rather noisy (that’s the main reason for docking a star). Plus, the pulp seems wet enough that it seems more juice could be extracted from it, and if you try running the pulp back through, you’ll see what i mean. Still, running it through twice is not so bad when you figure in the low cost of this unit.

I’ve been very happy with this juicer. You do need to peel your fruits and vegetables and can’t just toss them in fresh from the store like you see on infomercials. It separates pulp from juice very well. In fact, i’ve never found any pulp that got through. It has never jammed and isn’t too loud. It’s quieter than both my blender and food processor. The one thing i love about this juicer is that all the parts can safely be washed in the dishwasher. A little pulp gets stuck in the filter almost every time that requires a hands on cleaning. I only wash the juicer parts on the top shelf of the dishwasher, away from the heat source, so i cannot say as to whether results would be different if cleaned on the bottom.

Been looking to update my 20yr old juicer that still works to a new one with the bigger food feeder so i would not have to waste time cutting up my fruit and veggies. Brought the jack lalanne power juicer deluxe at costo, and took it back two days later because it kept stalling and jaming while juicing one carrot. My old juicer has never stalled while juicing anything. I exchanged it for the oster #3167, and this one works perfect. May be a little louder then the jack lalanne, but so far it has no problem juicing anything we put in it. Easy clean up, and a good amount of juice. Also half the price of the jack lalanne.

Excellent seller 100% recommended.

I am pleasantly surprised with this juicer. I’ve been able to try several juicers recently and this one ranks right up there. It is a small compact machine, smaller than the other ones i have tried. The noise was the big shocker for me. I am used to my hamilton beach making a lot of noise, whereas this one just quietly juiced everything. It comes a part easily enough and cleans just as quick so another plus. The only downside i can see is that it doesn’t seem to produce as much juice as the other juicers i’ve tried. I used the same ingredients and there was noticeably less juice. So far this is my only downside. I haven’t used it as much as others who have commented on the motor burning up, so i will have to update later on after i’ve used it enough times.

Extra wide feed chute fits whole fruits and vegetables

Purchased as a gift – it is being enjoyed by the recipient.

I have been eyeing juicers for a while but they just seemed so expensive and complicated. But when i saw this one available i decided to give it a go. This juicer is amazing: easy to assemble, easy to clean and great juice. I decided to test it out by making a simple apple juice and let me just say this was the best apple juice i have ever had and it is fresh with no added sugars. I will be making all sorts of juices now. This juicer is a good price and a good product.

I have had an oster juicer for over 15 years and i decided to buy a new one because its mouth was too small and it was a bit labourius to juice. I have had this new oster juicer for a few months now and the experience has not been very positive. First of all, the machine keeps moving sideways when one tries to juice harder vegetables like carrots. This is rather inconvenient because one has to hold the juicer firmly in order to avoid this problem. Also, it appears that the rounded device used for pushing the vegetables through the machine has a defective design because large pieces of vegetables are frequently left intact and do not go through the machine. The container where the juice falls has a inside flap to remove the foam when pouring the liquid into a glass. Although it is a good idea to have foamless juice, the flap is built into the container in such a way that it makes it difficult to clean the container. The centrifugal screen is hard to remove from the machine once one finishes juicing. This is also a problem with my old oster juicer. I would have expected that after 15 years the company would have improved in relation to this particular aspect.

The disclaimer is that i got this free through the amazon vine program. However, i was just about to buy a juicer. My husband and i eat a mostly raw food diet and had been thinking about purchasing one. When i was offered this one, i was thrilled. It’s been months since we got it, and the truth is, we’ve used it only one time. This says something both about us and about the juicer. We also make a ton of green ‘soups’ which keep the pulp in. Why would i want to throw away the pulp??well, some people love juice. I do love carrot juice, and i used to buy it pre-made. I was looking forward to getting this juicer simply for carrot juice. But, bottom line, it’s just too much work. I don’t have a dishwasher, and cleaning everything well by hand is a pain.

At first i didn’t like that i thought this wasted too much fruit, but after a few tries i am liking it more. I had a juicer previously that cost over $200 and was terrible, and i was hesitant to spend so much again and not be satisfied so i opted for this one as it is a low price and the reviews were good. I have grown to really like this unit. It is a snap to put together and is very quiet when in use. I also like that you do not have to chop the fruits and veggies into small pieces as it has a large input hole. I typically juice 1/2 cucumber, one apple, 2 celery stalks and 1/2 lime or 1/2 lemon, and sometimes add some ginger or cilantro. The clean up is easy if you do it right away. I immediately add all parts to a sink of hot soapy water and clean after disposing of leftover pulp. I have had this machine for a month at the time of this review.

I finally fired up this juicer a few minutes ago. It cut through apples, carrots, and spinach with aplomb, rendering a surprisingly yummy drink. (i suppose not that surprising since i opted for an apple and carrot base. ) i remember thinking about getting into juicing many years ago, but being put off by the expensive juicers that seemed to be the only viable option. Now there is this affordable, effective oster model. I have to agree with other reviewers, the one off-putting thing about this juicer is the number of parts that need cleaning. I do not know if other models streamline this process, but there it is. On the plus side, they clean pretty easily, with the exception of the metal grinder component, which needs a bit of elbow grease.

34 oz.

I have a breville juicer that i use often at home but i wanted to get a juicer for a vacation home. This oster juicer seemed to fit the bill. Not nearly as big or powerful but good enough for weekend use. In use it works well, especially with softer fruits like oranges, apples, papaya, etc. Even celery has it’s juice extracted without much effort. However, tougher veggies seem to slow the machine down and i don’t get as much juice out of them as i am used to. As far as cleaning goes: i first tried the juicer out at home and washed all immersible components in a dishwasher without issue. However, the weekend house does not have a dishwater and washing the parts by hand is a bit of a pain. Other than that i like this juicer for occasional or light use. However, if you have never use a more powerful juicer like the breville or other more expensive models you might not ever notice any shortcomings in this juicer.

This is a pretty solid juicer but this week i cracked the inner clear circular plastic piece with a half of an apple. It can no longer juice as fruit just slides out the back now so i am sorry to say it looks like my juicing days are overall joking aside i will probably upgrade to a more expensive heavy duty juicer that can handle my daily juicing exploits. If anyone wants the extra pieces i have including an excellent working motor just leave a comment and i can ship it over to you.

Its very nice and easy to use and clean.

Always wanted a juicer but was reluctant to spend the bucks and allocate space in my small kitchen. However, this juicer is reasonably priced and i was able to find room for it. This juicer works great, easy to assemble and clean. The only negative i found was cutting portions small enough to drop through the mouth of the in-feed cavity. I would rather just shove everything down there at one time, but i don’t think that would be a reasonable expectation. I works good with both the hard items (apples, beets, carrots, etc. ) as well as the pulpy items (oranges, grapefruit, lemons, etc). It is great for making juice that is not readily available at the supermarket such as beet juice which some say is good for your blood pressure. The fresh juice is superior to the store bought bottled juice. Be advised that you can’t expect the same juice production by volume from all these items because some fruits & vegies just aren’t as ‘juicy’ as others.

Both the assembly and the cleanup are easy. The pulp is wet during the first run through, but i kind of expect that for a juicer in this price range. (wet pulp indicates that the juicer left juice behind. Many people will run wet pulp through the juicer a second time. ) however, i did feel that there was still a decent amount of juice, despite this. There is a slot at the bottom of the juice cup to help separate the froth/pulp. This works okay, but i find it simpler just to scoop the top. It isn’t as quiet as my waring pro. But it does juice slightly better, in my opinion. Of course, it also slightly more powerful.

My aunt has an oster juicer she’s had since the 70’s. I’d lucked out on an oster blender from the 70’s that i love. Oster is still a great brand, it’s just that everything is plastic these days. Nice large waste container can hold a lot. I knew i wanted to start juicing, but didn’t want to jump right into a big pro juicer. This works great for my needs and its easy to cleangood tip i read: have a sink full of warm soapy water ready for you when your finished to keep clean up easy.

The product lasts quite sometime for using it.

This will be a valuable tool for creating healthy smoothies. It makes creating smoothies a snap and cleans up quickly.

The oster 3167 450-watt 34-ounce juicer is easy to assemble, use, and keep clean. I love the fact that most of the parts can be put in the dishwasher. I also appreciate being able to use whole fruits and vegetables. All-in-all, it’s a good kitchen tool to have if you like to drink a lot of juices. You will need some space for it. Check the dimensions carefully to make sure you have a place to use it and a place to store it.

This juicer has been absolutely great. I bought it for a 30 day juice fast, meaning i used it about 5-6 times a day for an entire month and have used it once or twice a day since then, 2 years later and it’s still going strong. I have had no issues at all with it, it juices anything i put in it, i cut most fruit up a bit so i’m not sure how well it would really juice a whole fruit or veggie besides carrots, which it does easily. The pulp is always really dry and i have been extremely pleased with my purchase so far.

. I never thought i would use, much less own, a juicer. But this machine is way coolit was easier to set up and run than i expected; easier to clean than i expected; worked much faster than i expected; and it makes great juicefirst attempt: cherry-limeade. Works equally well whether you peel the limes or not and handled the cherry pits and stems without any problems at all. Furthermore, my wife liked the resultssecond attempt: oranges, limes, chunk pineapple (from a can) and maraschino cherries. Had the juice for breakfast, then added some sweet italian sparkling wine for after dinner. I’m gonna have fun with this thing.

I was so excited to try this juicer. It’s my first time ever owning one and i thought of all the healthy juices i was going to make myself. Well, it’s good for every once in awhile, but i can tell you right now it’s not something that’s going to be used very much. Assembly was actually pretty easy. The instruction manual did a great job with the pictures and it was easy to snap everything into place. The actual container that the juice goes into i had to fight with a little bit to get it to line-up, but once i got the hang of it it started going easier. And dis-assembly is just as easy as assembly. All the parts are plastic but they seem to be heavy duty, so short of dropping the unit on the ground, i don’t see them breaking. As for the juicing, well as i said, this is my first time with a juicer so i don’t have anything to compare it to, but i thought it did just average. The first time i made something i used two pears, two apples, and a piece of pineapple i had hanging out in the fridge.

This is a great juicer for the priceif you’re looking for a juicer to mainly juice fruits, than this would be a great juicer for youit’s not the juicer for you, if you’re looking for something that would juice kale or greens. It does an okay job on those things, if you plan on just using it for greens occasionally. But, for basic fruit juicing, this is great. Works very easily, and is simple enough to put together and cleandefinite bargain.
