Chef’sChoice Chef’sChoice 667 Electric Food Slicer 10-Inch Diameter Blade : Near professional slicer

It worked well but wish the manual would have told what number is what. Cause i wanted it chipped or shaved. And meat keep sliding out of slicer. But it is better than the ones i bought at walmart, lowes. But thats my only complaint.

We have been very happy with this meat slicer. It arrived just 2 days after i placed the order. It had a defective part, and the company responded immediately. I would certainly order other products from this company. We have used it a lot, and we’re very satisfied with its performance.

    by entering your model number.
  • Rugged, commercial quality, die cast metal construction
  • Tilted design for fast and efficient slicing
  • Heavy duty powerful induction motor for extremely quiet operation

  • Dimensions 21 by 14.6 by 14.5 inches; weighs 30 pounds

I received the slicer in the mail and was excited to fire it up and slice up some lunch meat for my family of 6. It is easy to use and sliced thru everything i threw at it with ease, including cheese. It is quiet and slides easily. It is a bit heavy, but i expected that. I would not want it to be light as i don’t want it sliding on the counter. I read all the reviews on this machine, and felt this would be the best for my family. I paid special attention to the safety features and ease of use. I must say the reviews did the machine justice, icluding the review about the cleaning of the machine. Here’s where i don’t love the machine. The cleaning is a pain in the rear.

A good slicer that does the job and easily cuts through the meat to the thickness desired and selected. Some minor problems come with this slicer though. With the small area behind the blade, it is awkward grabbing the meat as it comes out after having been sliced. The small tray slides and meat falling down easily pushes it to the side, and in one case, even pushed it off the slicer entirely. Not hard to clean up, comes apart easily. When i was cleaning the slicer, 2 pieces slipped out when i tipped the slicer to reach underneath to the base. These pieces were a shaped rod and a spring. I am having trouble finding out where they go as they are not mentioned in the manual at all, and now the slicer won’t even power up. Trying to get through to the company for help. Overall, a very good slicer that does what is advertised and i would recommend it as long as others were aware of the problems.

Works great but wish it would do wider pieces of meat like bacon slabs.

Chef’sChoice 667 Electric Food Slicer 10-Inch Diameter Blade (Discontinued by Manufacturer) : Weight and size great; works well in a food vendor booth over a prolonged period. Tray used to catch meat very poorly designed-does not fit tight to machine and is small, so meat and juices overflow onto counter. Had to devise another tray to go underneath the entire slicer. The blade comes off easily enough, but it is extremely time consuming to clean the entire machine in between uses on a busy day, which is required by our health department. Price is right and overall, it worked much better and faster than cutting by hand.

This slicer is what is needed to slice appropriately; i. , safe, infinitely adjustable, consistent cuts at all thicknesses. As such, it requires some work to clean it following use.

I purchased the product but apparently received a lemon instead of a slicer. The size and overall construction were good for the price, but the design is flawed in several aspects. I was forced to return the unit as defective after the first attempted use. The three phillips head screws that hold the blade in place were torqued so tightly that they could not be removed. In fact, when i turned the unit on, the blade would not even turn. I had to rotate it after attaching the blade removal tool just to unbind the blade. An allen wrench is included to remove the blade guard. The same bolt size should be used for the three blade retention bolts. The knob that controls thickness of the cut was also defective, and rotated as i sliced, making each successive slice progressively thicker. The food carriage is also awkward, and i had to hold the food(i tried salami, capicolla, and provolone)by had to keep it from flipping sideways on the return stroke, no matter how much, or how little pressure was used on the food carriage.

Now we can slice the lamb meet to paper thin pieces. Liitle bit hard to clean up.

A great slicer for every day home slicing. Wouldn’t recommend for super hard meats like home made prociutti.

This food slicer has to be absolutely the best. The blade slices thru meats like a hot knife thru butter. Nothing buthigh praise for this appliance.

This is the second food slicer i’ve owned in my life. The first was a waring food slicer i picked up at lowes for about a hundred bucks. Com and decided to buy this model. While it is an invested in money and kitchen space, i’m very happy with it. It slices through meat, cheese, and veges like they were nothing. Plenty of hand guards and saftey features to keep you from slicing your fingers off too. The blade is extremely sharp though and should be handled with extreme care. Just remember, don’t put your fingers near the blade while it’s spinning for any reason.

When i was shopping for a meat slicer, my major concerns are quality and whether it is easy to clean. I took the plunge because i know i will save a ton of money slicing my own deli meat (and also a ton of energy and time) for my kids’ lunch (plus there is no nitrites and all that bad stuff). This slicer is designed like a tank in durability but has dummies in their mind when it comes to the ease of use. It works wonderfully and my freshly roasted beef all sliced so cleanly and perfectly, just like how it looks at the deli. But the best thing is: it is very easy to clean. I just need to remove the food carriage (first time is the hardest; just don’t overtighten it when you reinstall it)and use the provided wrench to remove the blade protector and wipe clean with a damp cloth. One more thing, i carefully angle the machine over the sink and spray the crevice behind the blade (and that space only, which accumulates a heck of a lot of crumbs and juice) with my sink sprayer. Take it easy and let the water run through the gap for a minute or so. The water will clean that little space perfectly. At first, i thought i need to use some long tool like a chopstick and a cloth to wipe clean that space after i sprayed it.

I’ve searched the whole internet for under-$500 quality meat slicer and ended up getting this one. Reasons i chose this one over the other $100/ $299/ and 400$ similar slicers. I chose chef’s choice brand for broad availability in replacements. I’ve tried a $100ish slicer and i just can’t withstand the motor noise, plus the blade will just slow down if you cut sticky stuff or frozen meat. I’ve also tried the medium level chef’s choice 642, while noise-wise is very acceptable in kitchen enviroment, the blade has no cover, so if you cut delicate stuff, it will just mess it up because of the friction against the rotating blade, even worst when you push all the way down and your cheese will’spin’ if not hold tight. So this one covers it all, plus a more powerful 1/4 hp motor, and a much larger blade at 9. It is very sturdy, close to 30 pounds (but very easy to move around, not that heavy as you think) ruber height adjustable feets stay in place even for the toughest meat slice. It has a double safe switch feature, on-off switch and a start switch next to it, this prevents accidental start (prevents you from being sliced) should the user left the power switch on and plugged in the power cord. So you have to press one time the start button to get the blade spinning.

This slicer is somewhere between a cheap slicer and the one you really want but can’t afford. The motor is strong and quiet. The blade is heavy duty but a little small to cut larger pieces of meat. The food carriage is a little on the cheap side for the price. Overall i’m satisfied but i don’t have that great feeling.

First of all, let me start by saying that you can’t compare the cheap $90 units to this model. It’s like comparing apples to oranges. If you want a ‘cheapo’ just to get you through a year or two, buy one of those. But, if you want something thats going to around a while, i recommend the 667. I bought this slicer as i am a home butcher/processor. I make alot of hams, bacon and sausages. So, i need something that’s consistant and dependable. Of ham this morning paper thin, and i have to tell you.

First off, this was a long time coming for me, and i wanted to test it before i gave any feedback on the buy. It has been 4 months and i couldn’t be happier. This is a huge buy and most places charged way too much. That’s why when i found a place that sold it for [. with shipping, i had to swoop it up. ]so, as far as use, i’ve done a turkey roast and ham for deli slices, london broil for jerky, various cheeses, and other various pork cuts. The blade that comes with it is all you will ever need. The serrated edge they try to push for bread is unnecessary. All you have to do is freeze the bread a little and cut it. ]

My decision to purchase the slicer was by the reviews. My main usage was for semi frozen meat to be sliced for jerky. It worked excellent and it was received prior to the dates specified. Fast delivery, and glad it came so soon. Very please all the way around, service and slicer.

About twice the size of the toys i took back. But still smaller than the smallest commercial unit i looked at. It is not easier to clean than the cheaper versions, but it does a great job of slicing. And looks good which makes the task a little easier. Portions of it can be removed for cleaning, but not without removing screws, etc. I set it on the edge of the sink and try to spray it off. You could remove the blade, but that appears to be somewhat of a task also.

As with peter above, i had purchased several kitchen slicers which proved not to be up to the tasks i asked of it. I love proscuitto and because of the cost at the deli, order a whole one and slice it up myself. None of the slicers i had purchased could do it. It made perfect, paper thin slices that bring out the unique flavor of the proscuitto without strain. I am so impressed with this machine. It’s worth every dollar paid and then some. Together with my vaccum sealer, i slice it all up, seal it and freeze it. In the long run it’s a money saver.

I brought this slicer primarily to slice raw meat:lamb, beef for shabushabu style hot-pot. So some of the details may not apply to other use. I will skip the good part of the slicer, as it is well summarized by other reviews. The bottom line is: i will recommend it, and will buy it again, there is no better unit out there in the same price range. My biggest complain(which is minor in overall picture) is cleaning: you can not get a real good cleaning of the unit. (again, considering my use is to slice raw meat), the blade assembly can be taken apart fair easily, no issue here. But that is about it, all the other parts are very difficult to take apart, if not impossible. The screws used to put the other part together have falt end (with right reason, since those surface are carrying food/meat), that you can not unscrew all the nuts. I hope chefs choice design engineer can take extra steps to address that details (i can only assume that the designer does not use it or clean it 😉 )the other one is some of the cheap plastic panel, the material, the way they are installed. Again, the unit is good, some attention to the details will make it even better, you will unlikely to see those type of issues from , say a japanese design, if you know what i mean.

Yes it is true that this thing really does slice as a $400 slicer should. That is a given and the reviews here show people agree it does the job. But two things to consider:1) $460 -is- a lot of money. But you make the decision that you are willing to pay that for your own professional slicer. 2) the bigger thing to consider is are you prepared to clean this machine every time you use it???remember, at the delicatessen or market, the jr. Butcher has the task of cleaning it every night. This thing requires that you take apart the feed tray, blade cover, blade etc. , to gain access to the bits of food lodged within. It -is- well designed and easy to dis-assemble and re-assemble, but it does take time. And if you leave it for a day or two, you will have a very hard task to scrape out the hardened food bits.

KRUPS FME2-11 Programmable Coffeemaker : Great coffee maker

Our household is a serious coffee haven–we generally brew 2 pots a morning (those 1 serve coffee pots would never do). This is the first carafe in 6 years that does not dribble coffee on the counter when you pour it into a cup. We love the audible alert, the blue display, temperature of the coffee, & the overall design. We use the programmable feature everyday. No need to reset only fill it up the night before and voila. I too wish the white stayed cleaner, but white goes with my kitchen better than the black. Print the max fill line in the water resevoir in black.

No problems, nice looking, great coffee. Very easy to program, even if the power has been lost for a short time.

I purchased this coffee maker 4 months ago & have had absolutely no problems so far. It was a little tricky learning to program it, but i generally make my coffee fresh in the morning so i don’t use the auto-program feature very much. I do like that it has auto shut-off in case you forget to turn it off. The only problem i have is that it is hard to keep the coffee from dribbling on the counter when pouring from the carafe. Also, this product is white which requires a lot of cleaning. I use bottle spring water to make my coffee so i do not have any hard water residue problems. I will probably buy another krups when this one wears out.

I have purchased krups coffeemakers for years because i have always found them to be reliable and durable. This latest model looks like a winner. The glass carafe is made of thinner, more elegant glass than my previous model – hope it holds up as well. A couple of little things disturb me. One is that the lid attaches to the carafe by two small rubbery/plastic projections that fit into small holes in the handle of the carafe. If one of these projections breaks off, i don’t think the lid will stay on right. The second thing is that the carafe is now shaped so that it is smaller at the top than at the bottom. When you go to pour out the last of the coffee, the steam escapes onto your hand – ouch. My old carafe was straight-sided and poured out all the coffee without burning your hand. The shape of the new carafe is more pleasing to look at, but it does have this downside.

  • Krups – not as good as it used to be
  • For the Coffee Lover

Krups FME2-11 Programmable Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe, 12-Cup, White

  • 12-cup fully programmable coffee machine with 1100 watts of power
  • 60-ounce water reservoir; built-in water filter; electronic descaling indicator
  • 1- to 3-cup aroma setting fully extracts flavor from small quantities of coffee
  • 12-cup glass carafe; LED control panel; brew-pause function; 1- to 5-hour heating plate
  • Measures 10-1/2 by 8-1/2 by 13-3/4 inches; 1-year warranty

This is a great buy and i like the looks of it on my counter. We have one in yellow for tea also. I never use the auto because it is too confusing. The bells are okay not bothersome. No trouble with the handle either. The yellow one does have an extra band to go around with the handle.

It’s a nice size pot 12 cup, the lid is stain resistant, unlike the previous krups model i had. It brews a bit slower than the last, but not unreasonably slow.

I can readily reccommend the krups coffee maker. It is easy to fill with water, the controls are straightforward, it does not leak water and is just a fine coffee maker.

I had a krups for years and loved it. So when i changed colors in my kitchen, i decided to buy another krups. At first it looked cool but the white gets stained easy and the quality isn’t as good. The glass carafe used to have a metal band around it with a removeable lid. Now the handle is glued on and the lid is attached which makes it hard to put in the dishwasher. The coffeemaker is all right, but if i had to do it over again i would pick something else.

We had a krups for about 10 years and it finally died. I went with consumer report’s advice and bought an expensive cuisinart. After trying several coffees and formulas in the cuisinart, i finally gave up and bought another krups. The new krups made coffee as good as the old one.

I already owned a krups coffee maker and bought one to replace my parents aging coffee maker. These are fast accurate and brew a great cup. I also like the water filter feature. It removes chlorine and any other after tastes.

Coffee and it didn’t work so well. The krups fme2 has worked flawlessly thus far. I hope it lasts as long as our previous krups coffee maker which lasted 5 years. With our very hard water, that is an accomplishment. The coffee tastes great too.

I like this coffeemaker alotmy first one had develpoped an air bubble, that i treated for a couple of months (it was a good way to clean the coffeeepot also), it successfully went away for months (in fact, i was definitely sure it was gone for good, then it was back again). , well, decided to get the one i have now. It’s now here at home, on standby, for when the other one acts up. Even though i’m telling you the air-bubble problem. , i still like this coffeemaker, & will stay with krups coffeemakerswilliam appelt.

It brews coffee just fine but the clock stopped working after 2 weeks and it’s too much hassle to return it.

Black & Decker EHC650B Ergo 3-Cup Food Chopper : I love this, had my doubts but didn’t regret it at all!

I bought this for my wife about a year ago. We have a high quality food processor that it great but it takes up counter space and it is a hassel to take it out. Therefore, we only really use it when we have a big batch of something. My wife tried a couple of those ‘slap shot’ devices, but they always would break after a short time. I had tried another motorized mini-chop that cost about $14 at a local store but it just didn’t work very well. For $20 i thought i would give the b&d a try and now we both use it and love it. It is really small and light weight and it is very easy to grab it and use it. Clean up is super easy too, i just add some water to the bowl and a drop of soap and let it run for a couple of seconds. I rinse out the bowl, wipe down the motor housing and i’m good to go. It does a great job at chopping and it offers a lower speed which is great for chopping succulent vegetables like green peppers.

Love it, bought one for me and one for my parents. I first purchased a hand food chopper thinking that an electric one would be annoying because i don’t have conveniently placed electrical outlets in my old weirdly designed kitchen, and i was worried it would be difficult to clean. The bottom parts are dishwasher safe. The top part you can take a paper towel with some soap or a sponge to and clean it very easily and i am one of those people often lovingly referred to as a ‘germaphobe’. The outlet thing – i actually fill it up and stand near an outlet next to my fridge because it is so much more convenient. I find myself cooking more because i bought it. I dropped it last time i used it so next paycheck i will be buying another one. It’s plastic so don’t drop it. I cracked the plastic bottom when i dropped it.

  • 3-cup capacity with a stay-sharp blade lets you chop, mince and even make salsa in seconds
  • 150 watts of power with high and low pulse button control for better, more precise results
  • Ergonomic grip provides easy use while the safety locking lid offers added peace of mind
  • Dishwasher-safe parts for easy cleaning, plus a handy storage lid so you can prep and store in the same container
  • Product Built to North American Electrical Standards

I got this hoping i could dice and chop things like onions, celery, water chestnuts, carrots, bell peppers. I kind of assumed that this would end up pureeing the vegetables instead of chopping and dicing but i’m lazy so i took a chance on this bad boy. Jeez was i sure wrong about the puree part. I noticed the blades are not so close together so i thought that maybe diced chunks may come out better and it sure turned out right. All you have to do is pulse the food chopper until the desired size is attained. The 3 cup bowl comes in handy too. Be careful when washing the blades. I learned when i first washed the blades and sliced my finger deeply.

KitchenAid K5THSBP Tilt-Head Mixer Bowl – Easier to use than the glass bowl that came with my Artisan KSM155GBCA

I bought this as a second bowl for my kitchenaid mixer, but it doesn’t fit as well as the original. The original and this replacement are made in different countries, one in korea, the other in india, so perhaps that is the discrepancy. The more i use this bowl, the better it seems to fit, but i usually try to use the original unless i have to use this one.

I am here to tell you that this does fit my kitchenaid ksm155gbca (ksm155gb is the model, the letters that come after gb are just different for each color). I also now see on one site that the bowl is compatible with models that start with ksm150ps, ksm152ps and ksm155gb. I had previously researched endlessly on forums, the kitchenaid site, and amazon reviews and could not find a definitive answer to whether this fits as an alternative to the glass bowl, but finally i just ordered it and yes it does fit. I’ve used it about 5-10 times and i have not even gone back to the glass bowl once. It’s just so much lighter and easier to wield, to pour out the mix, or to wash, and not worry about breaking etc. Of course you miss out on the nice ‘measuring bowl’ feature of seeing how much is in the glass bowl, and whether ingredients got mixed off the edge etc. , but if i had it all to do over i’d just order the mixer with the metal bowl. The glass bowl is more of a gimmick as far as i’m concerned now.

This is the perfect size for our 5 quart kitchenaid mixer. Its great having a mixer bowl with a handle it great for heavy baking. Here are the specifications for the KitchenAid K5THSBP Tilt-Head Mixer Bowl:

  • Make sure this fits
    by entering your model number.
  • Polished stainless steel
  • 5-quart capacity
  • Ergonomic handle for easy use
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Fits KitchenAid stand mixer models: KSM150, KSM152, KSM155

Exactly as original that came with the ksm150 artisan mixer. Also includes a plastic cover with a depressed center enabling the bowl to be covered while sitting on the mixer with the head down and no attachments installed. Made in india stamped on bowl. Dishwasher safe top rack only, made in korea, and non sealing written on cover. The lid may say ‘non-sealing’ but it snaps on tight and i put about 2 cups of water in the bowl, snapped the lid on, and shook the whole thing upside down and not a single drop leaked out.

Works so much better than the glass bowl and is much lighter. You must scrub with steel wool before you use it for the first time. It seems to have some kind of coating on the inside of a new bowl. Also the splatter screen fits perfectly.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Booo:(
  • Needs a Good Cleaning Before Using
  • Easier to use than the glass bowl that came with my Artisan KitchenAid KSM155GBCA

I bought a new kitchen aid mixer that came with a glass bowl. I couldn’t stand the glass bowl. It was heavy and the bottom kept coming loose when i tried to remove it from the stand. I ordered this because my old kitchen aid mixer had this type of bowl. It’s so much better than the glass, and i don”t have to worry about breaking it.

I ordered one of these so i could have two instead of having to wash the one 1 i had immediately between cake batter & icing. I was surprised that it even came with a plastic lid.

Wanted one larger (5qt) than the one that originally came with my mixer (4. 5qt), & this is perfect, plus has a great comfy handle. Fits in the groove of mixer stand perfectly, too.

We bought this bowl in sept but didn’t get around to using it until after the refund policy for this vendor expired. Due to a manufacturing defect the bowl would not latch properly with the mixer. The vendor would not work with us but kitchenaide did, they gave me a new bowl due to factory defect. Seems to me the vendor could have communicated this to me rather than just denying my claim.

Love this bowel as it is easy to handle with the handle and lighter weight than the glass that came with the stand mixer.

Love this bowl it fits perfectly on my stand mixer and it was a great price. It was $40 now its listed over $90. I was going to order another one for my business and i guess i wont now that the price doubled.

Bought this after accidentally dropping and breaking the original glass bowl that came with my mixer – nice that i don’t have to worry about that with this metal bowl. I love that it comes with a cover (my glass bowl that came with the mixer didn’t). Wish it had the pour spout that the glass one did, but not a huge deal.

This stainless steel bowl is the way to go. My mixer came with a glass bowl and it broke shortly after receiving it. Go with the stainless steel from the get go. Easy to clean, it’s light and perfect for every step.

Very happy with this stainless steel bowl. I have a glass one which i like, but it is heavy and sometimes i worry that i will hit it on something and break it. So i got this stainless steel bowl so i have a spare, or a replacement if i break the glass one, or just want to have a lighter mixer bowl sometimes. It is very light weight in comparison, very easy attach and remove from the base. An extra bonus is that is comes with a plastic lid, which i didn’t know it would.

Purchased this bowl to help with my baking. I try to keep my oven filled while using it, so having another bowl handy is a plus.

My stand mixer came with the glass bowl and i needed the metal one for making swiss meringue buttercream frosting. I am not comfortable with heating or cooling the glass bowl so this metal one was perfect. I have a lot of recipes that require a stand mixer. Having two seperate bowls makes things easier, and faster if i am doing more than one recipe at a time.

I have a tilt head ksm158gbca mixer and needed a replacement bowl. Unfortunately, i dropped the glass bowl that originally came with the mixer while washing it. So after searching, reading all of the reviews, and asking questions online which was very helpful by the way in helping me decide to go ahead and order it. Just received it today and i’m happy to say that it fits perfectly. The bowl comes with a lid which is a bonus, it’s lightweight and shiny.

Nice having a 2nd bowl for my mixer. Came with a bowl cover that works for my cooky dough when it has to be refrigerated for an hour.

This fits my regular classic just fine. I got sick and tired of having to struggle to get the ‘handleless’ bowl off after mixing heavier doughs and batters. This is perfect to end that hassle. All of the bowls should be made with a handle.

I simply adore this stainless steel bowl for my kitchenmaid mixer. I found the glass bowl that originally comes with the mixer to be quite heavy when filled with batter and so on. This bowl however, is light and easy to maneuver when scraping batter out. Another amazing feature of this bowl is the built in rivets. I always struggled to lock my glass bowl into place, and struggled even further to unlock it without accidentally completely screwing off the bottom ring. Added bonus, if you are clumsy like me you don’t have to worry about shattering this bowl whilst cleaning it. Bottom line, i love this bowl and even purchased one for my sister-in-law.

Purchased this bowl to replace my glass one, which was heavy and the edge chipped. The only issue was i had to clean it really good several times to get the black stuff off the inside of the bowl. After trying few cleaning products, including white vinegar, i ended up using an sos pad on it, which did the job. Otherwise, the bowl has been great.

DeLonghi De’Longhi EC860 Espresso Maker : Great for hurried mornings

Super fast delivery and everything works as expected. Really like the product and the seller.

Would have given it 5 stars except i have 1 minor occasional issue. When using the spout for frothing in a pitcher, if you bump it occasionally it will pop off and stop delivering steam. Not major, just push it back in. Just had for about a month so don’t know about life yet, but very happy.

Very pleased with this machine. I’have owned many different espresso maxhine but this is top notch. Easy to use a makes excelent espresso and cappuccinos. Saved yourself money and buy one of these.

It makes espresso much more tasty than starbuck. I can enjoy coffee in cheapest price at home with it every morning.

I am really enjoying this machine. It took me quite a few cappuccinos and lattes to dial it in for my flavor preference, but this is my first home espresso machine, and after upgrading from a bosch tassimo machine, i’m learning a lot. The automatic milk frother is wonderful. I tend to leave it on the maximum foam setting and it makes perfect, fluffy foam. On the lowest setting, you pretty much just get warm milk, no froth at all. Setting up the machine was easy, although i am lucky that i am the only coffee drinker in the house. I have personalized the cappuccino and latte settings for the amount of milk/coffee i like. There is only 1 setting for those. If my husband liked either of those drinks, we might have a problem. I would recommend for anyone that has multiple coffee drinkers is to leave it on the default settings and tweak it from there by either brewing extra shots or something.

I haven’t had to experience too many myself so i don’t have much to compare it to, but i will say that although i do not regret this purchase, i do believe i would have been satisfied with a less expensive machine. There is nothing absolutely astounding about this machine that i would recommend others to purchase it for. I was conflicted between several machines, one of which included a machine for under 100, and im beginning to think i would have been happy with just that. Theres nothing wrong with the machine persay, aside from the programs being confusing at times – sometimes i get a full cup of coffee, sometimes i get a thin layer. Not worth the money i payed for it. Beautiful machine, too bulky and quality just isn’t to parr for the quality i would have expected for the price i payed.

We have had this machine for about a month now and are finding it to be a suitable replacement for our older starbucks sirena which made great coffee but was nothing but trouble mechanically from the start. The delonghi makes a good latte, is attractive, seems solid and is easy to use after you figure out how which the instructions do not describe well. We found a youtube video from a store in seattle that had a gal demonstrating it to a t which was way more helpful and told us things we would have never found out from the manual. It comes with an instructional dvd that would not play in our player. The delonghi has great stream power but you have no control over that power which was an adjustment for us. It makes decent shots and is quick and efficient. We have been making our own lattes for almost 30 years and have had a few machines in those years. This one is going to work out just fine. We purchased it at sam’s club for $299 which looks like a great deal comparatively speaking.

I would’ve been very hesitant about purchasing this item after having read the reviews. A client made me a latte one night and i commented that it was much better than what i could get from my 10 year old starbucks machine. I liked making espresso or lattes, but usually used it about once a month because it was such a hassle. I went home that night and decided to have another and my starbucks machine was totally dead. I asked my client which she had and decided to purchase one. There were so many mediocre and poor reviews that i almost didn’t order it. My client had hers for two years, used it several times per day and loved it. I went ahead and ordered, knowing that i could always return it if there was an issue. Perhaps it’s too early for a review, but after over two months i have been using the machine 4 or 5 times per day. I will agree that the ‘steamed milk’ is a bit different with the frother on here, but i have no complaints about it.

I look forward to using it every single morning.

Love this machinei always wanted a great fancy coffee machine and this one does it’s job without breaking your banklove my foammy cappuccinos and lattes❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.

There will be better, more complete technical assessments of this unit than i am prepared to write tonight, but i will say that i am delighted with it. I have tinkered with inexpensive espresso makers in the past and never had as much satisfaction as i have gotten from working with this. I am 67 and had my first cup of coffee in 1949 when i was a 18 months old. But this unit has opened up a whole new world of coffee for me.

Excellent price-quality ratio. Yes, you can’t use coffee mug with this machine and this is right. Drink espresso with small espresso cups and americano from coffee mugs.

I have used this unit for over a year without any problems. I do agree with one of the other users that the instructions were somewhat cryptic. This is not an apple product. The initial set up is not intuitive. Read the instructions more than once and go for it. The price is reasonable and the performance is as expected.

Didn’t buy mine here, but will pitch in. Lovely machine when it’s running properly. A pig of a machine when it’s not. Bought mine nov 2013 and have replaced three double shot basket and one milk hopper. As for the latter, you need to be scrupulously clean. Blast it with steam after every use and soak the black part of the unit in hot water often to keep it working. Mine’s been papmered and descaled regularly. The pump appears to work ok, but the machine really struggles if the coffee is too fine a grind. Currently talking to an ace coffee provider whi is going to send me samples of different grades. Machine is easy to strip and clean.

First espresso machine and it does exactly what it’s says it suppose to do. Makes a mean cappuccino👍👍👍👍👍. Get the coffe beans you love and you’ve got a winner.

I was hesitant about giving 5 stars as i never do, but we love this. After living aboard we decided that we couldn’t drink regular coffee in the mornings. I started looking for an espresso/cappuccino maker. I picked this one out but after reading some reviews i was hesitant. I looked at other machines in the same price range. I ended up buying this one and love it. We make 2-4 cappuccinos every morning. We haven’t had any problems yet. I did carefully read the directions and make sure the settings we right for us. I did take about 3-4 days to start making great cappuccino but the manual does say that.

I’ve been using this de’longhi ec860 espresso machine for about a month. We use it daily and it’s so easy to use; my husband can just do his own now. . It’s very easy to program to your own liking. I also like the fact that you can use it manually if you want to get creative. I’ve read negative comments and i’ve not had any problems. One of the issues was the espresso wasn’t hot enough but i just preheat my cup and it’s very hot. I highly recommend this machine.

I have had nothing but a great experience with this machine. I have had none of the problems some reviews complained about. It is super sad to use but read the instructions and follow the setup procedures and options before beginning. At the touch of the button i can automatically make capuchinos and lattes with the attached reservoir. Likewise i can use the manual steamer to steam my own milk and make latte artthis unit goes from off to hot and making great coffee drinks in under 15 seconds. It will make several drinks in a row with the large water reservoir. With the adjustable removable tray it fits and cup i choose to stick under it.

This is an extremely well-built piece of equipment for anyone wanting to become a home based barista. This machine was created for all those individuals (myself included) intimidated by the complexities of using a traditional espresso/cappuccino machine. The instruction manual is well written and easy to understand. With a little practice, you’ll be creating your own homemade cappuccinos in no time at all.I use my machine daily, and i really love it.

It was exactly what i was expecting.

I purchased this machine last summer when my very old estro profi espresso machine bit the dust. After some trial/error with this product (the instruction manual was not very user friendly) as well as watching you tube videos of a local coffee shop that tested the product it works great. The espresso can be adjusted to taste (shorter flow of water for a stronger shot) which i do like as my spouse tends to like his espresso drinks more potent than i do. Overall, a good machine and delivers decent espresso shots.
