Oster BLSTMG-B 8 Speed Glass Jar Blender : Perfect Blender for Us!

So far this item has worked great and looked great. I use it to make smoothies and i haven’t had it for more than a few weeks so i don’t know how it is longevity wise but it seems fantastic for the price so far. Low price and great quality.

My wife and i got the cusinart blender ($100 version) for a wedding gift. We didn’t really use it for a few years and then she started making smoothies. After about a year of making smoothies (one a day) the mechanism that makes the blade turned was stripped. Needless to say that i was irritated that a 100 dollar blender was shot after a year. I tried to fix it but couldn’t. It was a stainless steel peice of junk. Point of the story is that after i did some research i decided to give this cheap blender a try (bought at walmart). It’s sad but this blender works better than the fancy cusinart. I have only owned mine for about 6 months now, but even if it goes out after a year, i could buy 3 more for the price of my last blender.

This machine is well worth the money -it is not too noisy -chops ice very easily -glad i purchased it.

I purchased this blender in green (with a plastic jar) from the big “w” for super inexpensive. This model replaces a 25 year old osterizer which was getting a bit weak. The old jar fits perfectly on the new blender. This model is rated at 450 watts and it is fairly powerful within its limits, it is not a vitamix. For what it is it is fabulous, i make 2-3 smoothies /day and this oster is perfect for the task. It crates a great vortex, it is no wonder why oster has stuck with the same blade design through the decades. It just works and you, as a consumer, know that it won’t be obsolete six months from now. Want an inexpensive blender that works?. Buy one of these with either the glass or plastic jar and be done with it.

  • It blends, but it’s not fantastic.
  • Loud, vibrates, but gets the job done
  • WOW! What a Great Blender!!

Oster BLSTMG-B 8 Speed Glass Jar Blender, 6-Cup, Black

  • Make sure this fits
    by entering your model number.
  • 8 Different Speed Settings
  • 6-Cup dishwasher safe Boroclass glass jar
  • 450-Watt of Ice Crushing Power
  • Stainless Steel “ice crusher” blade for perfectly crushed ice every time
  • All metal drive system for lasting durability

I use this product every day for a protein drink. Easy to clean and car for, also.

Crushes okay – speeds are good – easy to operate and clean – oster is known for good products – should last.

What do we really need a blender to do?. Crush ice, mix drinks, blend smoothies. With that in mind i bought this very reasonably-priced blender. It does everything a blender is supposed to do and does it well. It is sturdy and dependable. The jar is glass – no weird plastic chemicals to worry about. Don’t throw good money away on bells and whistles.

This blender is fairly good, but it is not the most consistent blender i’ve used. Sometimes it blends stuff quickly and other times i have to use a knife to move stuff around in it. For the most part, it’s good for the price.

Bought it to replace an older one i didn’t really like. I make fruit smoothies in the morning for breakfast, usually with frozen berries and bananas and it does a great job. It’s a little loud, and sometimes does dance around the counter a bit, but nothing too crazy. I just put a dishtowel under it and that takes care of it. My mom recently came to visit and tried it and loved it so much, she took it back with her and i am waiting on the replacement now.

I bought this blender in particular because i use the same one at work for processing quality samples. The little bugger gets used almost constantly, and has never overheated, burned out, or broken down. Most blenders at this price point rely on plastic gears to turn the blade, but this is all metal. As long as you make sure the jar is properly seated in the base, you really shouldn’t have a problem. And if, after making your third batch of daiquiris, you should happen to put it on a little crooked and round out the base, oster makes replacement parts. They also make a variety of blades to customize by usage. I use my home blender almost every day for veggie smoothies, and it has never failed me. It even grinds up raw carrots without a problem.

So glad i didn’t get an expensive blender. I make at least one smoothie a day with this baby and it works just as good as the expensive ones. Love this product and the price. If i need a new blade or ring i can order that off amazon for super cheap too.

I use it to blend cooked soups and to chop bread into crumbs. This blender replaces a 25 year old osterizer. I was disappointed that i cound not get as good a product as i had privious. Under $200, all were made in china and plastic.

I bought it not expecting much for the price but this blender works great. I çan’t complain of how it works crushing ice, it has enough power. Is a little light at the base for the heavy glass cup but is not a big problem for me. It looks modern and stylish but if you are someone looking for one to use frequently, you should look to expand your budget. This blender is made for light use, as it is common in my home, for sure not for commercial use or similar frequent use expectations.

This is a decent blender for the price. Jar is substantial glass, blade assembly is all metal. I use it mainly for protein smoothies. Tasked with something heavier, such as pureeing a soup seems to be difficult for it. It is extremely lightweight, so i find i have to keep substantial pressure on the top of the beast with my hand while it’s running or else it will hop off the counter. It does start to emit a burning smell after being run for a few minutes.

Our old blender was pretty worn out and couldn’t chop ice very well or mix up the drinks my wife wanted to make. This blender is fantastic and we got it for a good price. I like the heavy glass jar better than the plastic one on the old blender. It’s quite a bit heavier, but easy to clean.

Great blender, i use it for a personal blender when couples with a small mason jar. Much more powerful and sturdy than the little blenders you see sold for personal use, that “crush” ice until the blades quickly dull, or the motor burns out because you didn’t pulse the little blender motor just right. This is a real blender that will last, and is much cheaper.

Ill keep this short and sweet, i was looking at those $400 blenders wanting to finally get a blender that would crush ice for smoothies. After some research and not really having the money for a $400 blender i bought this oster on amazon. Ive made about 6 smoothies and 3 ice blended mochas, and it blends perfect. As good as the $400 blenders ive taste tested at the warehouse clubs. Im so glad i didnt waste the extra money, this is perfect. It comes with a large heavy duty glass jar, no leaking, sharp ice crushing blade, metal connector from the base to the jar, and a nice tight lid. If i have to say anything negative about this blender it would be the base control part. It has all the speeds you would ever need but it is made of plastic. When you push the buttons for different speeds it feels like its price.

If you want a product to crush ice this is it. Bought it for my roommate for christmas and it mixes drinks like no other. Great little machine for what we needed it for and it’s not expensive.

Probably not an every day, major use blender but it does the trick for making frozen drinks, etc.

Let me admit i am a little frightened of this blender. Some others have written of the noise it makes. While it is loud, it isn’t so much that as the sense that it’s getting ready for blast-off. I keep a hand on the lid because the blender vibrates and wants to travel, and i just get a bad mental visual of the whole thing blowing clean off the counter. This means two things: (1) evidently the blenders i’ve owned in the past were weak weanie-blenders and (2) this sucker blends – you can see it hurling the bottom ingredients upward immediately. Beyond that, i like the large glass jar, especially the wide mouth which makes it easier to pour out whatever you’ve just mixed and to get your hand in there to clean it if you wash by hand. Cons: the buttons are a little weird, very close together and kinda cheap-looking. They don’t satisfyingly ‘click’ into place, they sort of ‘mush’ down. Also, it’s hard to get the blade clean because of its design. I use a clean toothbrush to really get into the tight spaces on the blades, but even that’s not totally effective.

Does what i need it to do and like that it is glass. There does need to be a certain amount of liquid for it to blend right so i normally have to add a couple tablespoons water. You are not paying for a ninja when you buy this so don’t expect one.

Adequate for nutritious food preparation of pureed or blended fruits and vegetables.

KRUPS KM1010 Prelude Coffee Maker : Simple and works well

It makes coffee without fail. It’s a very standard coffee making coffee maker. You put grounds and water in and you get coffee. It’s not super fast nor does it take hours. 4 stars only because it hasn’t changed my life or anything.

Very happy with my coffee maker.

The guys that built the tiger tank in ww2 must have designed this because this is one giant coffee maker. For what it is being asked to do, it is just to big. They should ask how big is your kitchen before they sell you this. It also has some strange thing that semi locks down the coffee basket (don’t make any mistakes by not getting this thing just right, or you will have a mess on your hands). You would think that with such a huge machine that pouring in the water would be a snap, but even here it falls short. On the plus side it does make pretty good coffee mainly because of its simplicity (no clocks and timers ) just on and off after a couple of hours. You would think that with no bells and whistles that it would be much smaller. If you have a mc mansion this is for you but if you live in an apartment as i do, you should let this one go.

Our old krups coffeemaker served us well for 14 years. It still works, but we got so used to seeing it on the counter every day that we hadn’t realized how beat-up looking it has become. Until a few months ago, that is, when i began my search for a quality coffeemaker that had the fewest bells and whistles. The more buttons and displays on it, the less likely i was going to buy it. All i wanted was a coffeemaker that had an on/off button and that made great coffee. (this country has become so gadget-crazy. ) finally i found the krups (not that i am especially brand loyal) km-1010–and am i glad i did. While i see most reviewers gave this unit high marks, i can’t understand why *all* of them didn’t. I would have preferred a separate (from the water reservoir) swing-out cone for filter and coffee, but the setup krups has now (coffee and water under one roof) is not a big deal.

  • Good coffeee make / Well-designed
  • Just What I Wanted!

  • Keep warm function keeps coffee hot for 2 hours
  • Translucent water tank with dual water level windows; removable filter basket for easy cleaning

Bought the wire mesh filter to make life easier. Highly recommended over any mr coffee, which is now made by sunbeam. Update: bought this in april 2011. Still very happy with it and filter. Makes a great cup of hot coffee. Fingerprints show up stainless. Update 2: she died in september of 2012. 🙁 not sure if i’d reinvest in another.

Hard to find just a coffee maker that uses the cone filter.

We had a braun coffee maker for many years and when it died we were unable to replace it. The krups coffee maker is super. It does not have all of the bells and whistles (which we did not want) and it is sleek and modern looking. It also makes a great cup of coffee.

“on” and “off” switch is the only button. Fragile glass carafe is the only drawback.

Replaced my 10 year old braun coffee maker. Was attracted to the sleek design and reasonable price of the krups. I make 4 to 6 cups each morning. I want a very basic coffee maker. Difficult to get the water in the resivoir. If you have upper cabinets, you have to pull out the machine far enough to get that lid up. The machine is large and this is an annoying task each morning. Once you get the lid open, it is hard to pour the water into the reservoir, as the opening is small. The filter basket is difficult to get seated correctly. It just doesn’t fit well unless you seat it perfectly and that is no simple task. If you don’t seat it correctly the water overflows and creates a mess. The worst problem (imo) is that you cannot remove the lid to the carafe. The lid is fixed to the carafe, making cleaning very difficult. Normally i would remove the lid, and place the carafe in the top rack of my dishwasher. You cannot do that, as the lid will not remove, and only opens partway. This makes it impossible to put the carafe in the top rack of the dishwasher. It is even difficult to fit it in the bottom rack and it takes up a lot more room. It is a nice looking coffeemaker, but not so functional. I’m looking for something else.

I am not a coffee snob, but at the same time, my brain is pretty much useless without a good cup of coffee. So, i took this purchasing decision very seriously. I spent countless hours reading reviews of the cuisinart dcc-1100, dcc-1200 brands, and the keurig b70, and came to the conclusion that none of their added features were worth it, given the number of negative reviews i read about smoking machines, machines that suddenly stopped working, etc. It seems the more features an appliance has, the more reasons it will have to break down. All of the above-listed machines were more expensive than the krups km1010, and i did not want to deal with any hassle of getting a refund, or paying for shipping/handling to get a replacement part. I chose this machine because i wanted something simple, did not want to spend more than $50. 00 usd, and also because of the reliability of the krups brand. Also, with the coming flu season, i do not want to ingest my coworkers’ germs that are crawling all over our office flavia machine. This machine is definitely a welcome sight in the early groggy hours of the morning. Just the right amount of decision-making for my uncaffeinated brain. But i am 5’2″ and can still see clearly where i am pouring water into the reservoir. The reservoir is placed rather close to the filter & grinds – in this regard, i think having a steady grip is more important.

Fingers crossed; but, so far i have had no issues with the krups 10-cup. I haven’t had the coffee maker too long; but, it’s been working like a top, no leaks, no stops and makes a good cup of coffee. I would recommend this krups coffee maker.

I had those krups km1010 for the last 5 years and it brew really hot coffee and it just quit. I had tried variety of new coffee maker but they don’t brew as hot as those krups km1010. I decided to purchase the same coffee maker.

I had a krups for years that always churned out great coffee. When it finally died, i went with a very expensive bunn since it was rated very high. It never put out great coffee. I couldn’t take it anymore & bought this krups. I specifically chose the one with no extras. Just an on/off button is all i wanted & all you need with a krups. Every cup has been delicious and i’ve had no issues that others have posted. You can’t go wrong with a krups.

It does not taste like plastic. Although when i researched whether krups was made in america on google they said it was and it is not. Part of the reason i bought it was because the google review said krups makes their pots in usa. Maybe some of their pots but not this one. I will keep it cuz it does make a good tasting pot of coffee without the plastic taste. The “stainless steel housing” claim is a bit debatable. Feels like silver plastic or tin. For someone who doesn’t care about it being made in china and wants an inexpensive no frills pot. Just push the button and it works. I don’t like alot of technicalities.

It is simple; push the button and wait until it’s done in 5-7 min. No filter is needed to “filter” the water, which is good. Only minor thing i have is the measurement indicators are both on the sides, so you can’t actually see the water level easily, but as i said this is minor. . I trust the brand name also; i had a previous one of different model, which lasted over 10 years.

I went through two coffee makers costing more that had problems and leaked; required resetting the clock whenever i unplugged it to clean them. This one is basic that does what i bought it for: brews good coffee.

It served me well for almost 3 yrs, but it all of a sudden decided to die on me. That’s the only reason i gave a 3 star. Has no fancy features i never use, which i liked a lot.

We’ve been using this coffee maker for several months now and have no problems with it at all and it’s easy to use.

We had been looking for a krups coffee ‘machine’ for several years, one without the added technical features–one that just has an on & off switch. We finally called krups and they gave us several places to try, large departments stores, but they did not have what we wanted. Amazon was also mentioned and found just what we wanted. This was my first order with amazon and i was very pleased with the service, from order to delivery it took only 22 hours to arrive. The krups was packaged so well even after being dropped over a fence it was not damaged. We like the way the filter fits with having to be put into a locked position, then the carafe fits tight. Coffee brews in a timely manner and excellent flavor. After 2 hours the machine goes off. Easy to clean, heavy in weight. We are very happy with this krups coffe maker.

For just plain coffee making with none of the extra’s,this works great. Easy to prepare the night beforeand just press the button in the morning.

This product died on me today. They make everything in china now so no hope for long lasting productrs.

This device is well made and solid (not made in china). Very easy to use with a single blue light that toggles as an on and off switch. Appears to be made in erope so superior construction compared to the cheap plastic chinese-made stuff you buy everyone in america now. Perfect size and very hard to break. Only flaw in this coffee maker i have found is the coffee filter holder not going in all the way. If thats not place in its slot just right, and the lid does not completely close, it fills with water and the grounds and coffee come pouring out all over the counter. That’s because the bottom of the plastic filter has to push through the hole below that drips the coffee karaffe below. So make sure thats in its slot just perfect and the lid is completely closed otherwise its a mess.

DeLonghi ESAM5500B Perfecta Digital Super Automatic Espresso Machine – Five Stars

I bought this for my husband as a christmas gift several years ago. Let me say that this has turned into our favorite investment. And i say this because of the high cost of the machine. We have not had any trouble with it— nothing and we use it almost daily.

It can made the coffee more hot but it is what it is.

Made our first cappuccinos this morning, and they were great. Machine is about as automatic as you can get. Our only concern is — can we stop making and drinking the cappuccinos and lattes.

I have no complaints about that. Taste is relative, so i can understand how some may like it less than others, but i have no complaints about the coffee. The frothed milk is perfect, the coffee tastes just like it should. We use it every day, and we all but stopped buying any coffee from espresso stands. I updated this review to 3 stars in fairness for just how much we actually enjoy using this unit. However, i’ll leave the terrible experience we had with the customer support below for reference. I think there should be more to a great product that it’s nominal performance. Quality is also defined by reliability and customer service. Delonghi boasts striving for excellence, but they fail miserably.

I purchased this machine as a replacement for another delonghi espresso maker (which is 5 years old and still works great. And my sister now loves it). The packaging it comes in is first rate and the machine arrived in perfect condition. I only make espresso with it so i can’t dispute the claims of others talking about lukewarm milk in their latte and cappuccino. My experience with the espresso is that the delonghi machines still make a great cup of espresso, no matter what your taste. I experimented with the settings until it made the cup i was looking for (double-shot, extra strong). Obviously the beans you choose have a big effect on the taste of your espresso. I have only had the machine for a couple of months so i can’t testify to it’s longevity, but hopefully it lasts as long as my previous machine. No problems cleaning or leaking so far.

I don’t know how long we’ve had this model, maybe upwards of 15 years. It’s a member of the family, as much as an inanimate object can be, anyway. It enhances your life and does so much to make you happy, that you are happy to give it the care that it demands lol. So, here’s what i’ve come to expect with the machine: it dies every two years. It was purchased at williams & sonoma with their lifetime guarantee. So for the first couple two-year cycles, i was able to just take it back and exchange it. Finally, they told me i had gotten my last exchange, and marked the receipt likewise. They had been pretty decent about it up til then. So i went the warrantee route (that particular exchange still had a few months left on the two-year warranty. ) delonghi sent me a box and directions where to send it. The repair people were, anyway.

  • Makes excellent coffee, but take poor customer service into account when considering this unit.
  • Our Favorite appliance!
  • *** 5-Star Customer service *** Delonghi fan for life ***

Our second delonghi and we love it as much as the first. Extremely easy to use and cleanup is simple. The wife and kids absolutely love the ease of the cappuccino maker and i like the detachable milk container that makes that possible. My only request would be the ability to change a strength or size setting after the start button is pushed. With the older model rotary dials that was possible. With the electronic it is not. It just means i have to pay more attention when getting my cup after someone else has gotten theirs.

I have had my machine for almost 5 years, and considering the other reviews, i consider myself lucky that it is lasting as long as it is. The machine makes decent coffee, heavy on the caffeine, but as mentioned in other reviews, it is not hot enough. The milk frother isn’t worth much as the milk is barely frothed and is very inconsistent; some days the frother works, some days it doesn’t, even though my milk (whole) always comes straight from the refrigerator. To battle this after 4 years, i bought a $100 nestle aeroccino which makes lovely froth for a real cappuccino. I cannot speak for the latte milk setting as i have never used it. As for everyday use, i find the machine finicky; error messages (including cleaning messages) will pop up mid-cycle, and the machine will not resume where it was in the cycle, i will have to start the drink over. Cleaning is relatively easy, but it must be done by hand. I used to stick the milk container (bottom only) in the dishwasher, but it warped, and i was forced to buy a new expensive container. I have also had the machine spout coffee through the bottom, but this problem was easily fixed with a shop-vac. All in all, the coffee is decent, but not worth the price of the machine.

I have one now here in the us and one in my home in germany. Makes you miss starbucks a little less.

My wife and i both work from home and love good coffee. We drink many coffees throughout the entire day from 5am until about 5pm. And the delongi perfecta is great. It delivers a consistent coffee every time it’s a great home, entry-level espresso machine. It is not a professional espresso machine that you see for $5k+ but for the price it’s perfect. We have had ours for about 6 years and have had no major issues. Standard servicing every 3rd year but that is to be expected.

Best purchase in a long time.

The best espresso machine i ever had, i had three regular espresso machines the past 20 years, i never had the quality of the coffee drink like i got from the delonghi esam55oob, i am very happy i bought it, totally recommend it.

I just love pressing a button and having a perfect cup of latte every time. I’ve read mixed reviews of this machine, but no complaints from me.

Works great use lavazza super cremation beans like being in italy.

Yes, my niece bought a nesspresso machine and says it is great. I am sure it is if you want to buy little pouches of coffee juice to make your shot every morning. The delonghi awesome takes the beans of your choice, your milk, and does all the work to make you a cappuccino, cafelatte, or espresso. For every 10 drinks or so, you do need to empty the grounds container, add water, add some beans. Between milk based drinks you should push the clean button for a few seconds (oh my, work, work, work). The one and only thing else that would improve it for my wife is to make the milk a touch hotter.

The best automatic expresso machine we have ever purchased. This is our third delonghi product and by far the best.

Expensive but actually saves money vs coffee shop. It should pay for itself in a year if you enjoy great coffee often. We caught a good deal on this and have been happy. We have had it 6 months now and put through 300 cappuccinos according to the statistics recorded by the machine. The machine easy to use and no issues so far. We use distilled water to avoid descaling which can be expensive if using their solution. We use glass coffee cups with wire like handles that we bought online and it is nice to see the cappuccino as it swirls in the cup and to see its different layers of milk, foam and coffee. Use whole coffee beans made for espresso for best taste. Know that a latte is more milk than foam and vise versa for a cappuccino. And also know that a macchiato is just hot milk with just enough coffee to leave a mark (‘marked milk’ hence the name) on top of the milk. The name cappuccino is an italian reference to a monks cap, or hat. Buy some shakers for cinnamon, cocoa etc. Know that nutmeg isn’t too good for cappuccinos as it it bitter and kills the foam. Use it for spiced drinks or maybe chocolate drinks.

Easily prepares latte and cappuccino with the patented “Single Touch” hot milk system.

Great espresso and love the milk management system.

I own 2 delonghi super automatics this one being our most recent. I make 6 or more espresso drinks per day on our house sometimes more. Two weeks ago the grinder broke or jammed don’t know. I contacted delonghi service who sent a white gloves padded shipping box and label right away. I mailed it fedex to the dallas service center unsure when i’d ever see it again. Today i was shocked to get a call from the delivery guy that my beloved espresso machine was left on my porch. Everything works great, problem solved. I know super automatics can be finicky and i’ve heard horror stories. Thankfully i didn’t have to experience one. Thank you delonghiotherwise for those looking we love this machine. Espressos and tall coffees are at the ready.

For the first 9 months life was good. Get up in the morning, press a button, and instant cappuccino. Then the milk frother started acting up. Not as foamy, not a steady stream, etc. Called delonghi, and customer service was great. We talked through the issues, and they determined it must be a problem with the foamer lid mechanics. ‘we’ll send you out a whole new lid’ they said. Awesome customer service, which it should be since it was so expensive, and less than a year old (considering the 2 year warranty). Well, 2 months later, and 3 phone calls later with lots of promises, still no foamer top.

Even ‘not coffee’ drinkers appreciate the taste.

Love the functionality and features, this is my third delonghi automatic, but after 6 weeks, the front door pops open by itself after turn-on, which stops it from making coffee, so i have to repeatedly close the door manually. Apparently, the internal mechanical tolerances are too tight.

I love this machine it is well worth the money. It is very easy to use and i get coffee that is like the coffee shop. This machine does both ground and beans. With the ground coffee you add it when you make it. With the beans their is a place to fill it up and you can use it over and over. The frothing milk is wonderful.

Easy-to-use digital control panel with programmable menu settings: adjust start time, auto off, clock, temperature, coffee strength

I’ve had my machine for approximately 2 weeks now, and so far i love it. It’s replacing my keurig rivo machine because i don’t want a pod system anymore, and i want a milk frother. This machine was easy to set up, and it’s easy to use. I haven’t changed any of the factory default settings for temperature or anything else yet, but i plan on doing so in the near future. I would like to change the water temperature, which is an available feature. I love the separate milk reservoir that cleans itself and can be kept in the fridge. The only thing it’s missing is a separate function for frothed milk only. Sometimes i like to add more frothed milk, but you can only do it while adding more coffee at the same time. But that is the only thing i’ve found so far that i don’t like. Overall great machine and i highly recommend it.

Grinds beans instantly for the freshest espresso with the patented “Direct-to-Brew” system.

No waiting between preparing espresso and cappuccino with the double boiler system.

BELLA 10.5 Inch by 20 Inch Electric Non Stick Griddle, Black BPA-FREE 13602 – Good, but not as good as Delonghi

Arrived as noted in the shipping details. It looks like as i expected, the only problem with this product is , after a year of usage, teh grease doesnt come off from the sides. You cant scrub it like you would do any dish with liquid soap, i only use a wet towel. It doesnt take much off the hot plate, that aside i like this hot plate and i use it for many things like dosa, pancakes, stir fry.

We bought it 3 years ago, and it still works the same.

I have owned various griddles over the years. Most of them worked quite well. A few of them weren’t that great. This bella 13602 griddle falls somewhere in the middle of the pack. The first thing that i noticed when i received this package from amazon vine was that the griddle was very light and seemed a tad bit ‘cheap’ in its construction. However, it’s stable, the griddle drips well, and the heat is constant. I can’t complain about that at all. I can say that while the heat is constant, it is not evenly distributed across the griddle. Like many other people have already stated, anything cooked near the center of the heating element is cooked well, but once you get on the outskirts of said element, the outcome varies. I’ve made pancakes, fried eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, and grilled cheese sandwiches on this puppy, as well as a few warmed po’boys with toasted bread and turkey and ham.

This is a very good product. I think they are just a little behind delonghi in over all quality. There is nothing wrong with this griddle. It heats, it cooks, it works. However, given the choice, i would choose delonghi over bella. The overall ‘feel’ is different. If you unsure, go with delonghi. If you want the bella, you will not be disappointed.

Pros* heats quickly – you can feel the heat immediately, and flicking a few drops of water onto it will let you know when it’s heated throughout, which only takes 60-90 seconds* large cooking surface – you could only fit 6 pancakes on it if they were small, but 4 fit easily (staggered), and there was room in between themcons* heats unevenly (in a way you can live with, but it’s still uneven) – i made pancakes and each pancake had a stripe on it (from the heating element underneath), so each pancake surface ranged from medium-nut-brown to almost-white but there were no burned spots or raw spots. I did preheat sufficiently (tested by flicking drops of water so i’d know when the whole surface was hot, not just spots, then spraying with olive oil and waiting another 30 seconds until the water flicks again all evaporated quickly and evenly), but this is because pancakes take a couple of minutes to cook, and the heating element does turn on again in that timeframe* the plastic frame and drip tray are plastic and feel rather light/thin, so i plan to use caution when handling them, as they seem like they may break more easilyfour stars because i’ve used it twice and it worked quickly and got the job done. Note: i did receive this griddle for free from amazon vine, but i personally have no problem giving awful ratings to products that i don’t like, and i was genuinely ok with how this one worked. If i had to buy it myself i’d probably spend an extra $10 for something better based on the other reviews, but my personal experience with this product was that it was decent. Not great, but good enough for my uses.

This is my second one, husband keeps scratching them. Cleans up very easily (fully immersible), can put on 8 eggs or 8 pancakes at one time. Love how evenly the heat is distributed and the grease catching drawer is a nice size.

I’ve been pretty happy with bella products, so despite the reviews, welcomed the chance to try out this one. It’s a pretty basic electric griddle. Big enough to cook 6 hamburger patties or pancakes with room to flip them. It’s designed so if you are using something with a lot of fat, the fat will drip into a tray that’s easy to clean. I prefer hand washing dishes, and the non-stick surface of the griddle cleans easily, and so does the tray. Because of the design it’s a little tricky to clean the edges where the tray goes, but not actually difficult. Just not as easy as the rest. Taking spot temperatures with a infrared thermometer, the temperature is fairly consistent within 10 degrees. On mine, the cooler spots were on the left hand side. Since that’s the side i start putting food on first, the timing works out pretty good.

Great deal and a great addition to my kitchen.

Can probably make 8 smaller pancakes and 3 bigger pancakes at a time. I love the temperature dial.

Just wipe it clean when done.

This is a fantastic griddle — very large surface and quite durable. Easy to clean and scratch resistant. Can handle lots of breakfast items at once.

I wouldn’t say that this griddle is actually non-stick. Things do tend to stick to it, especially in the places that heat up more. As other reviewers have noted, the heating is somewhat uneven. Still, if you learn how to handle it, the griddle can have its uses. This is obviously a low-budget product and the quality matches the price. I wouldn’t expect anything but a middling kind of performance from it. On the positive side, it is quite light and easy to carry.

I had never used an electric griddle (though i do have an electric skillet) until i received this one manufactured by bella. I was a little dismayed at first use by the smoke and smell even though i was careful to clean all dust off the surface before using but the instructions do caution that this is to be expected. After the initial use that issue did diminish and this is a serviceable, functional appliance that does work to cook food much as you would with a skillet on a stovetop. I will probably use it mostly for making pancakes and the extra cooking surface is really nice if making a big meal as skillets on the stove can be used for eggs and breakfast meats at the same time especially if you have some help in the kitchen. The directions don’t say to but i have used cooking spray with it each time i have used it as it helps with making cleanup easy. Overall this griddle seems a bit flimsy and i am not confident this will be a product that will last for years but time will tell and the price is reasonable for a shorter duration product.

This is my first electric griddle and i found it good for some foods, so-so to terrible for others. The heat distribution is uneven – the most reliable area is the center and once you figure out what to put where, it’s okay, especially for the price, (and for the convenience of being able to prepare hot food without staying in my kitchen, which feels as hot and sweaty as a crock pot during the summer. )the griddle has a slight tilt so that grease can run into a removable plastic trap and this worked fine when i tried cooking greasy sausage links. However, if you try to make eggs (or pancakes, i assume), this same tilt will drive you buggy because the eggs run. I ended up putting think potholders under the legs to stop the problem. You do need cooking spray, butter, or oil to improve the non-stick surface if you make eggs or they will stick. I found it nearly impossible to make an egg over easy without it sticking, but then, i usually break one out of four in my good fry pan. , for anything else that has any tendency to stick. The only thing i didn’t need it with was to toast bread.

My first impression of this griddle when i removed it from the packaging was that it was a toy. The metal was so thin and light. The cooking ability of this griddle reminds me of a toy as well. Not to be taken quite seriously, but enough to play at cooking. This griddle is okay if you’re desperate for a large cooking surface and prepare to work with fluctuating temperatures and hot spots. I like that the plastic borders around the griddle plate stay cool. I can easily use the handles to carry the griddle to a different location after cooking on it. The only hot spot on the handles is near where the plug was attached, so avoid holding at that spot. I even like that the plastic border is not on all four sides.

Theres nothing wrong with the heating on this grill. This is like everything else you have to let it heat up to get even heat across the grill. You just can’t plug it in and start to cook with it. I’ve had many makes of grills and they all seem to work the same, this one for the money is a good buy.

I don’t use it over 250 degrees. The biggest problem is the grease tray has developed a hole that keeps getting larger. I have not had the griddle that long. Have to be very careful because it will stick really bad unless you cook at a very low temperature.

Absolutely amazing griddle for cooking but not for what i was using it for lol because the temperature goes up and down it doesn’t stay steady at 1 steady temperature.

the video shows me doing a test-cook of some scrabbled eggs (and it not going well). Overall, the griddle feels cheap and not well made. I had trouble with the surface temperature of the unit, and i don’t care for the design of it.

Baby Cakes Babycakes Cupcake Maker, great little gadget

I bought this because it was on sale and because it seemed like it might be fun, but i did not expect it to work as well as it did. Just used it for the first time yesterday with half a cake mix and my five-year-old daughter helping me. It was so much funi plugged it in early because i wasn’t sure how long it would take to preheat, but it was ready in just a couple of minutes. We used paper cupcake liners and filled them about 2/3-3/4 full and they baked up perfectly rounded and nicely brown on top where they touched the surface in about four minutes. Everybody said they were really good (i can’t eat gluten but i thought they smelled great and had a moist, soft texture). Cleanup couldn’t have been easier, just wipe the nonstick surface with a damp towel. I’m excited to try other recipes in this, some gf stuff, tarts, etc. It’s also wonderful to be able to bake something easy with my daughters. Much rather make real food in this than use something like an easy bake oven. As an extra touch, a good quality icing bag, coupler, and tips are included, as well as a crust cutter and a former.

I bought this for my daughter for christmas. The maker is well made and sturdy. It comes with some great accessories such as the mini pie crust cutting tool and the pastry bag with different tips. Upon making our first batch of mini cupcakes, i did not that you have to move real quickly when pouring the batter into the cups. Old is not the best at moving quickly, she is what i like to call a ‘dawdler’. So in an attempt to not burn the cupcakes, i ended up doing the batter part. The cupcakes cooked just as directed and came out of the molds very easily. However, i will note that you need to be careful removing the cupcakes as the maker is very hot.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my niece. She loved it, and used it immediately– she reported that it was super easy to use and remove the cupcakes.

I got this as a gift for christmas, and just used it this weekend to make cupcakes. My fiancé and i used a whole yellow butter cake mix, and filled the cups about 3/4 full- like someone else said. They were done in eight minutes. They might take a little less but we liked them a little more brown. More than eight was too much. We got a huge bunch of cupcakes and decided to give some to mom and dad. Also since mine was just simple yellow cake, i used a condiment squirt bottle i have on hand that i used to drizzle caramel or fudge on other deserts, so it was a cinch to fill it and use it rather than spoon the batter into the paper cups. The icing bag was fun also- i decorated cakes some years ago in a bakery for a little while, so it was fun to play with the icing. This was fun and easy to use- i wasn’t expecting such a cool machine- i though it would be hokey.

Bought this for myself and i love it. I make so many things in it i never would have expected it had so mant uses.

We all love the cupcake maker. My daughter is 9 and received this for christmas. She is able to make cupcakes out of brownie mix or cake mix and will be trying mini pies as well. They come out very moist if you don’t over cook. It’s fun for her since we don’t have to start the oven and it’s something she can do on her own that creates a treat for everyone. The mini cupcake liners that i bought to go with are too small. The cupcake maker came with several liners, but i’m not sure where to get more of that size. They are a little bigger than minis but smaller than a normal size. The cupcake maker cleans easily and i like the redi bought this because my daughter thought she wanted an easy bake oven, but i knew she was too big for one. This is far more practical and more her speed.

My son is a little mini-chef so i looked at easy bake ovens but most are marketed toward girls (and look it) and also the reviews are just so-so. My son got this this for christmas and by 1:30 pm had made numerous batches and taken them to all the neighbors. It is very easy, and i was pleasantly surprised that it is also easy to clean (and we used no cooking spray). If you get this as a gift for a child, you may want to buy some cake mix, icing, and decorations. It was his very favorite christmas gift and he couldn’t believe that it was ‘all his. ‘ i (ironically) got an extremely minor burn on my forearm – it gets very hot – but you’re basically good if you only touch the red parts.

I was very skeptical before buying this item because there weren’t too many reviews, but i am really glad i took the plunge. The cupcake maker does exactly what it is advertised to do and the cakes come out perfect, that is if you follow the instructions and online recipes (takes some practice, but you’ll get there).

When i first saw this gadget i thought, ‘what do i need one of those for?’. But after reading a food blog i realzed it makes mini pies. Amazon had a good price, and even though it isn’t used much, it is a cool thing to have. The ‘tools’ and instructions needed to make mini pies are included.

Although it is much cheaper, like half, at sam’s club, where it only comes in (beautiful, cute as a button) pink. However, i bought this for my two grandsons, and it is a good boy color. From pictures they sent, it looks a cherry red. But then one of them said he would prefer pink.I bought the pink for myself. All the grandchildren enjoy this. They are interested every step of the way. I have to say, the cupcake papers are an unusual size, and directions say to order from company. They are not small and not regular. I have not looked for them yet, michael’s might carry them.

I liked it so much, i bought one for my daughters for christmas. I also like the small recipe booklet that tells how to use only part of a cake mix. Lots of fun with the grand kids.

I just made mini cherry pies today are they are just yummy made cupcakes the first time it is very fast and clean up is easy.
