Sunbeam FPSBCML900 Cupcake Maker, Cupcakes are my life now!

Love it, makes nice full size cupcakes in only 10 minutes. It is very well made and will last a long time.

I absolutely love this cupmaker, i have used it many times already and everytime the cupcakes come perfect and delicious. I have read some of the comments and there is some complaining, however if you follow the instructions and guidelines it is a breeze and you are not spending electricity by using the oven.

I bought this four months ago. It was a lifesaver over summer. I was able to bake yummy cupcakes for birthdays, special occasions and just because. It bakes six full size cupcakes at at time. They take about nine minutes to bake. Brownies take a little longer. Older children can use it, with supervision. It does get really hot, so you must be careful. I use an oven mitt to open the lid and a spatula to remove the baked cupcakes. It works well and looks adorable.

Bought it for my wife to have fun with the grand kids. They made and decorated a bunch for my 70th birthday party. The kids were quite creative with decorating, using graham cracker bears, drink umbrellas, and colored frostings. Made a ‘beach’ theme with bears in the sand and peppermint ‘beachballs’, and gummy fish in blue, ‘ocean water. ‘ makes perfect cup cakes in a short time.

I did alot of research on cupcake makers before getting this for my mother in law. This was rated the best even though it was priced a little higher than some. She gets perfect cupcakes every time in about 10 minutes per batch. I also liked that this made full size cupcakes instead of minis.

My wife loves this stupid thing. . But i get quick tasty cupcakes and muffins and doesn’t have to lite the oven. It’s a win win and i get a treat.

I was so into making cupcakes for any party that i attended. Now, it is so easy that even my daughter can make the cupcakes. They always turn out perfect and everyone loves them. You can make them at any time and even use it for muffins. I can’t tell you how great this product is – only that i use it all the time. If you love to bake and create wonderful baked goods – this is the product you need to get. I got the pink one and it is just wonderful.

This product produces the most moist, perfect cupcakes you can make. Definitely better than using an oven. It’s larger than i expected, the handle is positioned in an odd place, to me, it only makes six at a time, and it’s like playing hot potato trying to get the cupcakes out, which is why i gave it four stars and not five. But, regarding the making of cupcakes, which is it’s main function, lol, it won’t fail you. I’d definitely recommend this to my family and friends.

This cupcake maker is quick and easy to use. Take mere minutes to make cupcakes. I highly recommend using cupcake liners in it for easy clean-up. The only thing i have noticed is some cupcakes come out a little light and break easily i just add a little cornmeal and it works perfectly.

I love this little cupcake maker. No extra heat in my kitchen and the children can do it.

This little cupcake maker is fantastic. The cupcakes come out moist and round on top. Fill the paper cups 3/4 full with boxed cake batter and bake for 10 minutes. They will not look fully baked on top, but they are. Any longer than 10 minutes and they get brown bottoms. I don’t wait to remove them, i use tongs as soon as they are done, put down the lid till the ready light comes on and start the next batch. About 22 cupcakes from a boxed cake mix. I love this cupcake maker and will be ordering another.

I ordered this to make cupcakes but found that it does not brown as well as when you put them in the oven.

It has made my life so easy. I can make 6 regular size cupcakes in 17 minutes with minimum mess.

We purchased this 10 months ago and really appreciate what it can bake. From cupvakes to muffins to cornbread, it does it all. We are at sea level and 13 to 14 minutes cook time does the trick. I would recommend this as a great gift for new bride, busy mom, eager teenager or retired folks. I always use papers sprayed with a good baking spray and the papers peel right off. The only oddity is that the tops of the cupcakes get cracks from the steam release. You never really know because of the frosting.

I got this cute little appliance a few days ago to ease myself into baking. I am a good cook, but i have no baked goods in my repertoire (my only dessert is crepes). Cupcakes are both adorable and very versatile, so i thought i’d start there. The recipes i looked at online seemed nice, but i am someone who doesn’t like waiting for the oven to preheat and then scrubbing pans. So, this little gizmo seemed like the right thing for me. You plug it in, wait for the green light to flick on, put down cups, pour in batter, close the lid, set a 10-minute timer, and wait. After 10 minutes, insert a toothpick in the center of the cupcakes to see if the batter sticks or if it comes out clean. If it sticks, wait a minute more, check again (repeat as many times as necessary until it comes out clean). Once the toothpick comes out clean, i unplug the machine and use a rubber spatula to pop out each cupcake.

I do not write reviews, but this little machine rocks. I made cupcakes last night (not my best batch) and i thought they might be a bit dry. Much to my surprise, every cupcake came out moist and spongy. They baked quickly and evenly.Plus, amazon made a mistake on the price and marked it as $11. I know it was a mistake because the next day it went back up to $46. If you love to bake, this is a great piece to invest in.

It is simple to operate and easy to clean.

I bought this for my daughter (she is 8) to make cupcakes. Cooks cupcakes perfectly in 10 mins and muffins in 12. I have made breakfast tarts with pie crust and egg too. And its really nice looking too.

This is great for cupcakes but also good for muffins. Now i do think the muffin mix you need to add to are the best (scratch is even better), there are times i do not have in the house what is needed so i keep packets of muffin mix you just add water. Theyalso make 6 which fits just right in this maker. There are so many small easy to use and clean anymore i wish they had back in themid 1970’s when i was in collage, i sure would have eaten better.

I just purchased this item and it is awesome. Best kitchen gadget i ever bought. Makes perfect cupcakes, brownies, muffins, angle food. Also have made grands biscuits in it and cornbread. So easy and works perfectly.

I have boughten four of them for friends and family. They all love it, perfect gift. I’m ready for my next gift purchase.

Santa just brought this adorable cupcake maker for my 9 (almost 10 yr. Old)step daughter for christmas and she absolutely loves it. It is not only so cute (a giant pink cupcake) but it’s easy for her to use with miniml supervision and great results.

Very simple to use: no on/off switch so simply plug in and wait for indicator light to change from ‘warm up’ to ‘bake ready’, after 10 minutes, we get a perfect batch of cupcakes every time. I use baking cup with this so cleanup is super easy (non-stick surface. ) highly recommend this product.

My 8 year old daughter had an ‘easy bake oven’ on her list for christmas this year. After reading the reviews and remembering what an ordeal / disappointment it was when i had one as a kid, i explained to her: ‘honey, i’ve been reading bad reviews about the performance and dissatisfaction with the easy bake. Do you think you might want me to send santa an email and ask him to modify your list to a cupcake maker instead?. She was pleased to make the change. The cupcake maker shipped promptly from amazon and my daughter was delighted on christmas morning. A couple of days later she made her first batch of cupcakes with supervision near the hot plates. Her cupcakes turned out beautifully. She frosted and decorated them and was delighted to give each of us one of her lovely creations. As a mom, i like that it makes only 6 at a time. If you need to do larger batches, that’s easily done as they don’t take but a few minutes to bake.

Omega VRT330 Dual-Stage Vertical Single-Auger Low-Speed Juicer – Great Juice, much better than the Breville Compact Juicer

Great product just hard to keep it up everyday. I know it good for you just a little bit of a mess.

Faster than i thought it would be. Only 2 cons are 1) having to cut up stringy veggies to avoid clogs 2) clean up of 6 pieces plus the base does take 20 minutes. But with a masticating juicer, the juice is still nutrient packed for 3 days, so i make enough for 3 days every time i juice. Update, 6 weeks later: i have stopped using. With all the prep time + juicing + clean up = too much for me. I have switched to blender, and make only 1 or 2 servings. Much quicker + u get the all the fiber with the produce.

This is a fast, easy to clean, and quiet juicer. I had a horizontal juicer that slowed down when putting carrots in but not this omega. I’m seeing pulp but not a problem. Just strain it with a strainer.

Great company to work with answered all my questions fast.

This is a solidly built machine that leaves very dry pulp in dump bin, however there is entirely too much pulp in the juice, it is practically the consistency of a smoothie. Also, and this is probably just a problem for me (elderly, disabled widow) the housing base is extremely heavy and due to the fact i have limited counter space it can’t live there so, has to be picked up and placed there each time for use. Cleaning is not a deal breaker but prepping vegs and fruit is time consuming since the hopper opening is tiny. Great machine for the job if you are young and strong and enjoy slicing product for juicing. I will be returning this item and i am hoping that will go smoothly. Update: the ups man picked up the package today (03/22/16) and they say i get my total refund within 2-5 days after they get the product back, which should be by the end of this week. Machine received (3/25/16) and refund already in bank. Thank you for a painless return. I will continue to shop here knowing that i can shop/return with confidence. Also, prime is a lifesaver, thanks again.

My wife bought this juicer and loves it. She had a jackolane and this thing blows it out of the water. It is very quiet and easy to clean. She juices everyday and this thing kicks butt. You get what you pay for with these things.

  • Quiet, lots of juice, easy to clean, tough juicing greens
  • Buy something you will use!
  • It is very quiet and easy to clean

Top cover flexes a little when juicing harder items.

Great slow spin juicer with fantastic customer support. It’s small enough to take with me when i travel. There is a bit of pulp in the juice as some reviewers have said but most juicers (except the norwalk juicer) contain some pulp without doing a 2nd strain of the juice.

Met all of our needs, we love it.

I purchased this juicer from another website and received it today. I couldn’t wait to use it and i am not disappointed. It is quiet when working and more of a space saver than my other juicer. I have a jack lalanne and it is a very good juicer, but i read that a masticating juicer saves more nutrients than a juicer with blades. Compared to my other juicer, this vrt juicer leaves less waste than the lalanne juicer which tells me i’m getting a lot more juice. With fruits and vegetables getting more expensive, i know i will save money. This juicer also has a 10 year warranty since i purchased it new. Cleanup is a breeze as long as you clean as soon as you juice. I don’t think i will go back to a juicer with blades.

I was very pleased with the glass bottles i have not had any problems with them i use them for my juices they are the perfect size highly recommend them to anyone.

Solid, easy to use, easy to clean. You’ll be juicing in no time.

My purchase of the breville compact juicer for $99i purchased this juicer as i was new to juicing and wanted something that was quick and easy to use, as well as having a small footprint on my counter. For the most part, i like this juicer, however, my one and only dislike is the pulp container. I like to run my pulp through the juicer to extract even more juice, and collecting the pulp from this unit is cumbersome and messy, and if fills rather quickly. I prefer to have the pulp ejected from the machine which makes for easier collection and cleaning. I’m still torn between the centrifugal and masticating juicers, so i ended up purchasing the omega vrt330s. I have yet to use it and will update this post once i compare the quality of juice as well as the clean up effort. I will say that i’m not looking forward to dicing all of my fruit as i’ve gotten used to inserting entire beets, apples, lemons and limes in my juicer. Even if you’re new to juicing and have already committed to it mentally, i would suggest you definitely take some time to look around. Sometimes it pays to pay more for a better machine that has the additional features and functions that you’re looking for. My review of the omega 330s juicer after using itafter using the omega juicer, i noticed off the bat the quality of the juice.

I really like it so far, making a lot of juice.

Sometimes hard veggies get stuck in it. Lots of pieces to clean after each use.

This was the second juicer we have bought. We really love this one more than the first one. Masticating juicers are so much better.

I purchased this one in advanced of our apple harvest. While i can a lot of the apples in different forms (applesauce, pie filling, chutney), also dehydrating them, i still have plenty for juice. This separates the pulp very well and produces a delicious apple cider, one can let ferment or can, if not drinking fresh.

Single auger turns at a low 80 RPMs to retain nutrients.

First off, i had trouble getting this juicer to turn on. Thought i followed instructions lining up red dots. The hopper can be assembled with arrow lining up with the dot, which was wrong. Called omega customer service and they quickly steered me right in getting the arrows lined up on the rear so it would run. Ok, just getting started on day one and i put it side by side with my trusty jack l. ‘pro’ juicer (not the amateur model 🙂 i started using 2 apples and one carrot in each machine of similar size. Both yielded 8 ounces of juice but the jack l’s juice looked watery. Richer, more froth and flavor.

The only thing i can say is that it was everything i expected and more.

After omega 8006 had cracked after used one week. I wanted to avoid omega if possible because my bitter experience of 8006. But i returned 8006 and they refunded it, it was good. So after carefully compered, i decided to buy this virtical juicer. I’m using this about half month, so far no crack at all. But when i put wheatgrass without cutting, it clogs. And cleaning task is little harder than 8006. But i tried to cut wheatgrass before shoot them. After i opened the cover i didn’t notice cloged grass. But when you make wheatgrass juice , you’ll get little pulpy juice. At this point 8006 was better and more cleaner, but it’s okay, i don’t care little pulps. If you make another vegee juice such as kale, carrot, cabbage, grape, apple ,etc. Carrot is honor role student of vegees. It makes no clog and is crashed very easy. Wrap this up, this juicer works okay, but if you make wheatgrass juice, you should cut them small pieces before you put them in.

Warning this is long, but if your buying a juicer you need to read this. Remember, the best juicer is the juicer you will usei purchased this juicer from amazon warehouse originally and was sent the wrong product. So i had to switch the juicer for one from amazon. When i got the juicer it was packaged nicely and simply put together. It was a puzzle not hard at all like the other reviews have mentioned. I’m impressed with how much juice is expels and the discharge is very dry. Very impressed with that aspect. It does soft and hard foods well.

Quiet, efficient and makes great juice. Has a little bit of pulp which i like better than pure juice.

Hi so i just bought and started using my juicer yesterday, as such this review may be a bit premature. So far i realllllllllyyyyy love this juicer. I have had a hamilton juicer for a few years and mine finally just stopped working. But before it did i was already searching for another one that yielded more juice. This omega juicer is: fast, easy to use, and surprisingly very easy to clean. Pulp seems pretty dry in comparison and it makes soooo much juice. I never thought that i would actually break down and pay so much more for a juicer, but i think in the long run it will save me money on my produce. I am very happy with this juicer and will update later if that should in anyway change.

The two stage juicer system extracts the most juice out of your fruits and vegetables.

Great juicer and it takes 10 minutes to clean it up. No spills during the juicing process. The fresh juice is not heavy and contains no physical pulps from the veggies or fruits. Thanks to an good old friend’s recommendation who is a rare food eater and uses it on the daily base.

Bought for this juicer for a newbie juicing friend and she can’t get enough. Easy to use and clean, and the yield is great.

It’s great at juicing a lot of things but greens are the toughest because they get stuck in the area where the pulp comes out. I think the reason they made a newer version of this was for a stronger powered motor?. But now i try to do my greens last and cut them really small because i don’t enjoy a lot of pulp in my drinks unless it’s oj. Still, i get way more juice than in a centrifugal juicer, it’s quieter, takes up less space on my counter so it stays in plain sight (and is used more often).

Easy to use and does a great job.

You get slot of juice with little produce.

Great product; however, it required more time to process leafy vegetables.

I really like this juicer, however, it takes a little getting used to. The first basket cracked in three places, because the chunks of vegies were too large, i think. I called the company and they said they would replace the basket if i sent pictures showing the breakage. I did so, but have not received the replacement. In the meantime, i can still use the cracked basket and am cutting the pieces much smaller. It is very true that the juice tastes much fresher because you are ‘squeezing’ the juice out at a low speed, not grinding it out at a very high speed. I highly recommend this juicer, just be careful about the size of the veggie pieces you feed into it.

Auto-Cleaning System. Easy to Use. Easy to clean.

Well made juicer that lives up to the reviews. It does an excellent job of extracting the juice from fruit and vegetables, but like all juicers, it’s a pain to clean after use. So i recommend you do your juicing to last several weeks and freeze that which you aren’t going to use immediately. This is also the brand preferred by dr bergman (see his youtube videos).

I bought this juicer locally in 2012 because my wife was having severe health issues where she needed to get most of her nutrition in juices. Because of this, we were putting great quantities of veggies through this juicer every week, and it wasn’t just a short fad thing; to this day i continue preparing juices for her. In the past two years i have run hundreds of pounds of vegetables through it, with no problems whatsoever. This is one of those cases where you get exactly what you pay for: the price is in line with the quality. Before this one, we used the jack lalanne centrifugal model, but it was clear that it wasn’t going to handle the amount of juicing we were doing. The omega is quiet: you can have a conversation with someone while you are running the machine, something that cannot be said about centrifugal juicers.

Easy to use, squeezes all juice out so little waste, easy clean up. The juice comes out ready to drink and is always good.

Juice a variety of ingredients and store the juice up to 72 hours without degradation.

Doodlebug & Bub Stainless Steel Pour Over Coffee Brewer – When 1 cup is all you need

Perfect for the one cup at a time. I use it a little differnt than its intended process. Sprinkel the grounds into the pyrex cup. Steep 4 min then pour through this filter. French press flavor easy clean up.

I have been wanting to purchase a pour over brewer for few months now as my keurig gave me some problems. I did receive a discount to purchase this particular product, but it had many features i was seeking. Love that it is stainless steel – no staining, it can withstand really hot water and it will not be prone to cracking. I also love that you can separate the cone from the base making clean up a snap and it allows for me to insert the cone directly into my thermal carafe (the design of the carafe doesn’t allow the base to sit evenly) to brew more than one cup when needed. I also had concerns about brewers with too fine of a mesh because follow up reviews stating the clog after a few months. The mesh on the cone of doodlebug & bub’s brewer is not too fine and not to thick. It is super easy to use and although it does not steep for long, my coffee was still has its deep, rich flavor. This now has me rethinking my k-cup waste and the cost savings (environmental & financial) of purchasing a bag of beans.

I also own one and like it very much.

I really like this pour over coffee brewer. I’m not a real big coffee drinker. Maybe one or 2 cups a day or every other day. This coffee brewer is really very sturdy made out of stainless steel with double mesh. The base works perfectly on my coffee cups. The water flows through fairly quickly with no grounds escaping to the cup. The base separates from the filter and makes it very easy to clean. So now i’m going back to freshly ground beans for my coffee. Who knows i might start drinking more now. I purchased this at a discounted promotional price in exchange for my review.

Braun MR430HC Multiquick Deluxe Hand Blender & Chopper : Works as advertised

Been using it for 10+ years constantly to zip up everything from eggs, to soups to vegetables to quiches to gravy. The jar/cup broke awhile back but i love this hand blender just the same. Once it goes i will be purchasing another braun.

Quality is good enough for moderate home usage for the past 2 years.

  • Set includes blender, whisk, chopper, bowl, beaker, and wall mount
  • Blends soups, sauces, baby food, juice drinks, and milk shakes
  • Whips cream, egg whites, and puddings
  • Chops herbs, nuts, garlic, and onions
  • One-year warranty against defects

Wish braun still made this model. It’s the best and doesn’t scratch your pans unlike kitchenaid’d immersion blender.

We use this immersion blender for mashed potatoes and milkshakes most of the time, although the chopping functions has also come in handy now and again. It’s so much nicer then washing an entire giant blender – just screw off the attachment and rinse and you’re done. I’ll never go back to a regular blender again. This model was conservatively priced and has all the power i need, and i’d buy it again.

I use this product while preparing almost every meal. The machine is really versatile – making blending, chopping and mincing of wet or dry ingredients really easy. Its a breeze when it comes to cleaning – whether by hand or in the dishwasher. The blender part of the machine is heat tolerant to the extent that you can use it directly in the pot where food is cooking. And you’ve got to love the compact size. Be careful of the whisk though – due to the high speed, i’ve sometimes had ingredients spilling out of my mixing bowls.

Braun MR430HC Multiquick Deluxe Hand Blender & Chopper : This takes the mess out of many tasks like blending soups and gravies. The multiquick is powerful enough to go get a smooth puree out of almost anything. Mine did not come with the whisk, but it use the regular attachment for almost anything. Careful with uncooked, easily oxidizing vegetables like avocado: the heat generated by the front-blade can turn your veggie puree color, so chill your bowl and reduce the rpms and exposure time.

Small but very powerful blender. In many cases provides better results than the large, more powerful blenders. Too bad that it is not sold in the us anymore. Most stuff produced in the us is useless because too many parts, too difficult to assemble and clean.

I’ve used similar handmixers like this one and find them very useful. This one, however, does have a slight flaw, one of the attachments keeps falling off in the middle of operation. Other than that one problem, i would have to still recommend this item because it is still functional.

This is a kitchen tool that is well worth the reasonable price. It takes up very little shelf space and can be easily cleaned. The accessories attach and detach with ease. It’s great to be able to beat or mix or blend mixtures right in their own container without having to bother with huge mixers or stationary blenders. The other day i forgot that i had this nifty tool and was trying to stir up a concoction that wasn’t responding well to my wooden spoon. It made things much easier and more effective when i remembered to use my braun hand blender. The chopper attachment works very well too. This product is an asset to any kitchen and doesn’t cost hundreds of dollars, like similar products. This is one purchase that i certainly don’t regret.

Here’s an instance of bad luck turned good; we moved and of course, the box of kitchen stuff failed to turn up and my older model braun hand blender was gone. I had to purchase a new one, so i got another braun because i loved my old one. Well, this is certainly an improved model over the one i bought 10 years ago. Immensely improved, and i love it so much i am, well, looking for things to beat up. Like pureed vegetable soups, frozen yogurt mix for the freezer, you name it. Here’s what has been made so much better:1. The attachments that used to come with the braun were run by the actual cutting blade. With this model, you can remove the blade portion of the stalk and screw the motor shaft onto the mini-chopper or whisk. The older chopper was hard to use because you had to hold it carefully in the socket designed for the blade to run the shaft.

I make bread dough in my food processor and i whisk up egg whites for waffles with this handy hand blender. I also just got sara moulton’s cookbook that contains a recipe for basic yellow cake made in the food processor. This is fine for egg whites but it is way too fast for powder things. I use the blender attachment in hot boiling soup to cream up swiss chard. This is the best way that i can see to eat tough but vitamin rich greens like swiss chard and kale i. Chop them up as fine as possible and add an enormous amount of them near the end of the cooking process as you would herbs and puree away so they incorporate into the potatoey cream soup so as to not be noticeable. I don’t use this everyday though. I tried pureeing veggies in a tall stockpot and still got bits flinging out.

This hand mixer is convient, easy to use, clean and store. It does exactly as decribed. I use this product to mix health shakes and it preforms well. This is the second one i have used and their great. If you are looking for a great easy to use mixer buy this product, you won’t be dissapointed.

Ya know, i really wanted to like this unit. In fact, i think its probably as good a hand mixer/blender/etc. Problem is, that’s the problem. First, it doesn’t really ‘chop’ anything. It sort of minces then smooshes stuff. So for chopping – use a knife. The clear plastic dealy with the blade in it is next to worthless. It holds so little and again. The basic unit does a fine job – of mixing up chocolate milk and blending soups as long as you have sufficient liquid depth and don’t start the thing till its fully submerged. If the liquid is too shallow or you start too soon – be prepared for major kitchen cleanup. One last thing – be sure you have storage locations for all of the stuff, the wall deal doesn’t store everything (and frankly i doubt if you really will want to hang it anyway – if you do you’ll have a cord flopping around your work surface (unless you neatly wrap it up each time, another pain)). All in all a great chocolate milk mixer, kool-aide maker, canned soup stirrer.

This is the 2nd one i have purchased, this one one was for my brother who just needed a ‘simple-to-operate-gadget in his kitchen . He had no idea you could get a blender/chopper so small with so many other ‘bits’ to it .

I’m crazy in love with this item; it’s handy, sturdy, washes easily, and not complicated – it’s the first item i’ve added to my kitchen in many years.

I use it almost every day to make pureed fruits and veggies for my infant. The only thing is that if you’re making something thick in the measuring cup that the blender comes with, sometimes you have to take the blender out, mix the food a little, and then continue to blend. Otherwise the stuff at the bottom gets a little liquidy, while the stuff at the top stays chunky.

Bought this for my daughter because she loves gadgets, never thinking i would want one for myself. After using it at her house, i think this is a great little machine. Use it many times in place of my blender, food processor and mixer. Don’t use it for heavy mixing, not made for that.

Under no circumstances use this to puree any tomato-based items. It will stain and will not wash off, bleach off, scrub off. Besides the stainability, i have absolutely no fault to find with this unit. You can’t beat it for the price.

Really a great little blender for the price. I never got the wall mount to work but it’s not so heavy that you really need one ( nor so beautiful that you’d want to see it regularly). Throw it in a drawer and you’ll pull it out before you pull out the bigger guns, so to speak.

Great product for a great price. The old one was still going strong – no problems with the motor or most of the accessories. Ten years or so of almost daily use (we really like to cook and eat, this thing is great for chopping garlic) resulted in a cracked plastic bowl. So we’ve now got plenty of spare parts. These make great housewarming gifts – much nicer than a gift certificate and everybody that sort of looks at it and scratches their head ends up loving it.

It’s not the sturdiest, and it’d be nice to have more than one speed, but it does a perfectly fine job of what it’s supposed to do. Would i recommend it to others?. Probably – but id like to see how well it holds up over the next year. Ive only had it a month so far.

This is a great product, and value for the price. The attachments are useful, especially the chopping attachment.

Blendtec 52-601-BHM Kitchen Mill 60-Ounce Electric Grain Mill : all arrived in good condition. Only problem with this purchase for me

So i have been looking to buy a wheat grinder for a while now and at christmas, i got money to buy it. My mother has been using one of these machines for over 20 years. She has almost never had an issue with it. I decided to buy the blendtec because it was $40 cheaper than the other brands. I have only used it once, but it was quick. I believe it grinded 10 cups of wheat is 5 mins. Yes it is loud, but i have read that they all are. Yes the latches on the side holding the motor to the catch pan are plastic, but my mother hasn’t broken hers yet. She says that you just need to be careful when removing the top.

The blendtec 52-601-bhm kitchen mill works so fast. It grinds wheat berries and pearled barley perfectly and super fast. I like the different texture settings for the type of flour needed. I generally use the second to smallest grind setting and i end up with perfect flour every timei only have two small issues with the machine. The first is that it seems to “spit” or “shoot” grains out of the top while it is grinding. I have found that lightly draping a towel over the top keeps the grains from flying around the kitchen while the machine is in use. The second issue i have is that i always end up with flour everywhere when i remove the top of the machine. There really isn’t any way to get the top off without making a mess. It’s kind of bulky and i just can’t seem to manage removing the top without getting flour all over me. But, even with these inconveniences, i really feel like it was a great purchase.

This is my second kitchen mill (the first one was stolen) and they work very very well. You can control how fine the flour is, and they will process a variety of seeds and grains. They are durable, don’t overheat, and well they just work.

This is the fourth wheat grinder i have had from k tech, blend tech, kitchenetics, or whatever their current name is. I like them and have continued to replace them with the same product. Obviously, for the most part i am pleased with the product. I like the ease of use and the variety of flours that can be ground–from a very fine pastry-quality four to a more coarse meal-like consistency. My only complaints with the kitchen mill are the durability; top heaviness and awkwardness of the new, taller wheat grinders (they aren’t as balanced and as stable as the older ones with a shorter storage bin); and the flour that inevitably escapes between milling chamber and the storage bin during the milling process is a little annoying (consistent problem with every model we have had and is obviously something that has never been solved and fixed by the company). We have given our grain mills heavy use in the past because we enjoy the healthiness of fresh-ground flour in daily food preparation and baking. I wish they were a little more stable and durable so they would last longer with consistent use, but for the most part, this has been a good product that i would recommend to anyone.

  • We really like the clear container so we can see how much

This mill does a great job on making flour. It produces a nice, consistant product with no effort at all. Just dump the wheat in and turn the switch. It is not that noisy – not much more noise than my vacuum. I do use my music ear-covering headset to lessen the noise a bit if necessary, which keeps it down even more. The one odd thing about the design is that the cord is placed to go vertically up from the housing. This is obviously so the unit can nest, with base over the motor top, for storage, and is not a difficulty during useage. When running the wheat through the unit, a single piece of wheat will occasionally go flying, but a piece of paper placed over the lower half of the hopper will avoid this if you prefer to keep the floor clean. My unit does not seem to leak any flour at all during usage. It doesn’t have “latches” – just a pressure-fit tab arraingement with a gasket between the housing and base.

We actually ended up reselling this as we bought an omega masticating juicer that can grind grains, coffee etc also. Very loud, heats up pretty good and you end up losing some as lots gets stuck in the milling mechanism. Would just stick with the omega juicer. It can do so manythings over this guy- juice, oil extractor, nut butters, puree, sorbet, pasta, grind meats, beans and grains. Wouldn’t buy this again- not because it was terrible, but just because i now know there are much better options.

I have never thought about grinding my own grains, but this makes it so easy. The bread i can make is out of this world and i suggest anyone that loves to bake, use this. You can use soft winter wheat berries to make the best pie crust and hard winter wheat is hard to beat for just a great loaf of bread. I have used to make other flour for things like waffles, middle eastern foods, and gluten free stuff like hemp bread (do not grind the hemp seeds).

I bought it after having purchased a more expensive mill (the nutrimill; almost $100 more). I used the other mill a lot, but never could get whole wheat bread to turn out any better than a building brick. I always had to add white flour for my bread to be edible. So a friend recommended this one. I sold my nutrimill and bought this one and i love it. The flour is much finer, resulting in beautiful, fluffy, whole wheat bread. The mill is a little bit louder than the other one, but not much. I would definately recommend this mill to anyone.

I love this mill, it has a really good warranty. The only downside i see is the locking tabs on the chamber are a bit hard to manipulate. Otherwise on the whole its a great appliance. I have milled flax seed, and buckwheat on it. But according to the instructions it is not a good idea to mill nuts. I’m guessing because of the oil content it would gum up the blades. But that’s ok, because i also have the blendtec blender which i am able to use on the nuts. More than happy with both products.

I needed some barley flour for a recipe, and couldn’t find it anywhere. I could, however, find barley grain at my local health food market, along with all sorts of other unusual grains. And i thought to myself: why not grind up your own flour?. We already owned the blendtec total blender, and loved it. And i knew they made a flour mill for home use, so i did a bit of research and ended up buying the kitchen mill, based on my experience with my blendtec blender. The unit is fairly compact, but can mill quite a bit of grain at one time. It couldn’t be simpler: after a quick assembly, plug it in, set the dial to the grind you want, turn it on, and begin to feed grain into the top. The grain feeds itself into the hopper, and soon the clear bin begins to fill with fresh flour. The grain does have an annoying tendency to fly up and out of the hopper from time to time, so i’ve found it best to place a small plate or some such over the lid where the grain enters the mill to keep these pieces where they belong. Other than that, the mill works as well as you’d want it to.

Works quite well till the plastic dial to determine course was broke off rendering it useless. It did mill fairly fine but not superfine flour (i do all sorts of wheats). It’s rather annoying to clean out after use so for me this was a larger batch milling machine, once a week or so rather than a few handfuls for the moment. Blendtec has a fantastic 8 year warrenty and will be fixing it, but it will take a few weeks.

Wow, this kitchen mill is amazing. A bit loud but it does a great job. I haven’t had any problems with flour dust on my countertops yet.

I tried the kitchenaid attachment, and had bad luck with it. This gets a really fine flour, and cleanup is very easy.

We purchased the ktec grain mill about two years ago and have been very satisfied with it. We use it frequently to grind hard spring wheat for making bread or pizza. It runs at a very high speed and is loud, similar to an electric router one may use for wood working. It will likely cause small children or pets to evacuate from the kitchen, but you will be pleased with the ease of operation and results.

I bought this mill under it’s previous name “the magic mill” 20 years ago. The clips on the side broke right away (because the motor is in the top and makes it top heavy) and i was disappointed. I knew that whenever this mill broke, i would replace it with something sturdier, but the motor recently wore out and when i realized that i had been using this mill between 3-5 each week for twenty years, i realized that it had really been an outstanding mill and since i had only paid $200 for it originally, it only cost me $10 a year. Needless to say, i just reordered this mill. Now, my daughters and i know to be careful with the side clips and they haven’t broken, and we are very happy with it.

Grinds out quinoa at a rate of about 6-7 cups every 2-3 minutes. Fills up fast at that rate, but it will hold a full 16 oz bag of quinoa so i don’t need anything bigger. Great product for the price.

I chose this mill because1) it has the most compact size, esp. For storage (you invert the clear flour container over the top of the white machine). 2) good warranty and trusted manufacturer3) it is the cheapest mill in this ‘class’ that i could find in dec. 2012unfortunately, it is very loud. I always warn my children to leave the room and we cover our ears. It would be optimal to use ear plugs for operation. Fortunately, it takes less than a minute to grind a cup of wheat (haven’t timed it exactly), so the noise is short-lived. I also try to be very careful about attaching and removing the clear flour container because several other reviewers mentioned that theirs have broken. All of them said that blendtec replaced the unit, but there are specific instructions for this maneuver. You have to latch or unlatch one side at a time, not both together.

Simple, no frills, and grinds grain into the finst flour you’ve ever made. Selectable settings for finer or more coarse flour. Yeah, the clips on the bucket may break. Just use extreme caution seating the unit in, and pulling it off the bucket. Yeah, it sounds like a jet engine, only louder. Silent operation is not what i bought it for, and it’s not on that long, anyway. It is absolutely superb as a grain mill and for the money, it simply cannot be beati would strongly recommend it as a purchase, and advise one to learn to ignore the noise, and handle it gently, and you’ll come to love this grain mill.

Is it normal that the filter (vent) is not lining up and that the top needs extreme pressure to latch?. I’m afraid to break off the latches when taking it off, it is extremely hard to take off. In all i love it, just seems as if the manufacturing is not the best quality.

This is our first mill and we absolutely love it. Yes, it’s loud, but the flour is super-fine and can be used for even the most delicate baking. Highly recommend this product.

I wanted to grind my own flour but i didn’t want to spend a fortune. This mill was a good choice. It’s compact, all of the elements fit inside the clear bin, and it does a good job. Not so loud that you’d require ear protection, but loud enough that i don’t use it when my toddler is in the room (it scares her. ) louder than a vacuum, not as loud as a table saw. Some stray grains fly out of the feeder. It’s not a big deal, i put my hand over the hole or cover it slightly with a bowl to keep them from flying all over. But i’d say maybe, 10-15 grains?.It is kind of a pain to clean up. Since you can’t wash out the unit, flour collects on it. I bought a make up brush and i brush out the flour from the nooks and crannies, then put it in the cabinet. I wash out the clear bin and little cup with soap and water. Those three things are really the only thing that bother me about this unit, but since it was much cheaper than some of the other mills, it’s worth the savings.

Very loud and produces a lot of residue dust, but that is expected when pulverizing grains, etc. Always use outside and just remove the little foam air filter. It will clog up in no time and is not necessary if your outside anyway. If you are celiac, like my kids, you will save a fortune making your own rice, millet, etc flour with this machine. Expensive, but would buy again, as it will pay for itself in a short time.
