AMANA RMS10TS Medium Volume Microwave Oven : Nice Microwave for the price

I spent a lot of time researching to find one that was comparable to my 35 year old amana radar range. It was very important to me that it have a stainless steel interior. I don’t care that it doesn’t have buttons that say defrost etc and i don’t find it terribly noisy like some people have complained about. It works wonderfully and the ability to just push one button for either 10 sec. , 20 sec, up to 5 min is very convenient. You can also program it to any time you want or punch in the time manually if you like. It has the larger interior i wanted. Heats things quickly and looks great on my counter. Just what i was looking for.

No frills, no special buttons for oso buco or popcorn. It’s not too big for the counter, yet large enough for a dinner plate. There are no power levels, just on and, then after a while, not on. No turn table to remove and wash/break. Turn the dial to select the number of 15 second intervals you wish to cook. A red led lights for each 15 seconds. The fan comes on, a bell rings when cooking is finished, the fan stays on for a minute after you remove the food and close the door. There is really nothing else to say. I hope this is the antidote to planned obsolescence, but i’ve not had mine long enough to prove that point. I have had it long enough to rely on it, however.

Had about a week and has worked great. People using it have to get use to the fan motor running after there item is done cooking. Very east to use and has good power.

This microwave works perfect for our store. I love how it resets the time when you open the door.

This is a very good microwave for use in the workplace. Our union has purchased 8 of these for 5 different worksites and they have lasted over 4 years. Each day, these are used about 30-40 times day each and trust me. They’re put to the test by the employees. None the less, they have lasted with no signs of reduced strength.

Amana RMS10TS Medium Volume Microwave Oven, 1000W : Great product and simple to use. It is not like other microwaves you get at big box stores. It heat evenly and does not burn things. I use mine 3-4 times a day and so far (5 months) so good. Well, 2 years and three months and it died.

Update: performance good but not stellar. Price seemed to increase by approximately $70 after contacting/corresponding with seller requesting assurance regarding warranty and went right back down after our purchase. Or maybe they charge for correspondence?it has no glass turntable, just like the high end ge. It uses a fan to stir the microwaves to achieve even heating. The fan starts when you open the door, and continues after the ready indicator lights up, and stays on after you remove whatever you are heating. As other reviews have mentioned the fan stays on for a minute. Operation of microwave is not exactly a steep learning curve and easily mastered. The only flaw we have found is that the “fit & finish” of the exterior cabinet is not perfect.

I bought this for my aunt who has macular degeneration and has a very hard time with complicated interfaces (she is pushing 100). Microwaves with ‘membrane’ buttons requires her to see what she is pushing. This amana microwave has a knob, and no options. Perfect for re-heating meals and frozen meals. The simplicity of operation, no buttons, just turn the knob and the microwave runs. The indicator has a light for each time step. The indicator does have ’15’ ’30’ ’45’. To indicate the time in seconds but the numbers are too small for my aunt to read, however she can see how many are lit, which is good enough. The timer only goes to a few minutes so you can’t accidentally set it for 20 minutes.

Amana has always been the best microwave on the market.

This microwave was purchased for an elderly woman with beginning stages of alzheimer’s. The idea was to get something that was fairly easy to control. She seems to be fine with the control , but is confused with the fan coming on when the door is opened and stays on for about a minute after the food is taken out. Her previous microwave fan would only be on when cooking. This microwave will probably be fine for most people after you get past the fan staying on past cooking.

The microwave function of this unit, along with the build quality, is excellent. For only a few dollars more it is superior to the typical home microwaves. The only problem is whenever the door is opened, the fan turns on, and it runs for a couple of minutes. (see comments on cutting fan run time. )when the microwave is on, the fan runs as it should, but it doesn’t stop for several minutes after the microwave is done, which is mandatory for commercial cooling. However, when the door is opened to get the food out, the fan count starts over. When the door is opened to put something in, the fan timer starts over, even if the door is shut without the microwave ever being turned on. When i open the door to clean the microwave, guess what starts. This unit is fan happy, which makes lots of incidental noise for no apparent reason. With 15 other programming options, how about one to leave the fan off unless the microwave is started.

Works like a solid microwave. No turntable, but heats evenly. Hope to get years of use from it. My previous microwave was an amana radarange that lasted over 30 years. Made in korea though, not usa.

This is exactly the microwave we were looking for because we wanted one which was well made with a stainless steel interior and simple to use because we only use it for heating items. After using it for about a month, it really fits our needs and it is good looking too.

Much better than cheaper units, cooks evenly and through. But do wish it had a built in clock like all other microwaves in the world.

This was purchased for a small office of 6 employees. We have had several ‘home’ models that haven’t quite lasted more than 2 years. It was decided to go for a more heavy duty model and it has been a hit. I would highly suggest this model for an office.

I was disappointed that while the inside and outside are stainless, the front is all gray plastic – including the handle and knob. Within a few months of very light home use (less than once a day) the plastic knob is showing wear (or maybe my cleaners tried to polish it?). This is the part that shows, and i wanted it stainless. It works great, but the fact that the (none-too-quiet) fan runs for one minute after you close the door is a little annoying (i was aware of this); i wish there were a toggle to switch that feature off. Also, for light home use, it doesn’t seem that those clearances are necessary (especially with the extra fanning). I have it back all the way with 1′ behind (there’s actually a guide to hold it that far from the wall), and the space under the legs would probably suffice even without other clearances.

Pretty much foolproof operation.

I have purchased 10 of these to date to use in our corporate break rooms and cafeteria. I was paying $150 for the ones at home depot and they lasted about 6 months. I have been replacing the 32 units in our facility with this one and have not had any issues in over a year using them yet. They are heavily used and take a lot of abuse.

This is a commercial microwave, unfortunately there is not a consumer version. So there is a warranty concern. But the amana i left in my old house has worked well for several years. So when i discovered that another brand of microwave installed in my new home leaked (microwaves), i decided to by another commercial amana. Here are the advantages: (1) this unit has rotating antennas instead of rotating food. It also has one on the top and one on the bottom. So it cooks evenly without the rotating platter; (2) the door is easy to open by lifting the handle, and easy to close. No button to push in to open, no slamming to close; (3) it is a substantial unit, with a stainless steel exterior and interior sides; (4) it is simple to operate, you just press one of the 10 programmed cooking times, then 20%, 50% or 70% button if you don’t want full power. Or you can enter the a cooking time; (5) you can program how it beeps when the cooking ends, the max cooking time for safety, and other cooking features. Here are the disadvantages :(1) it requires a 20 amp circuit and receptacal.

This is one of the few made in usa microwaves left out there. It is commercial so i thought maybe it wouldn’t be versatile for home use. The 1-10 keypad on the top is as simple as you can get. Just push one of them and the microwave starts. There are also a ton of programs for all the usual things typical of most microwaves, but let’s face it; how much do we really use features such as popcorn or defrost. When you open the door, a fan starts and after your time is up the fan runs for about 30 seconds. This thing is a brute and it is very long (20 inches) so make sure it fits where you intend on using it. I love that it doesn’t have a turntable and whatever coating is on the inside is super easy to clean. I was reluctant to pay $800+ for a countertop microwave, but those junky chinese panasonics cost even more for an inferior product.

Great microwave, i got it for the simplicity of it alone. It seems to shoot microwaves from the bottom upwards, versus from the side (which is why most microwave ovens have a built in spinner). Heats more evenly and quickly. Mine stopped beeping when the cycle is done after a dozen or so uses (hence 4 star rating), so i have to keep and eye out on it if i’m doing other things in the kitchen. There’s no buttons to turn it on or off, so i’m guessing the beep sound is just broken. Also, the fan comes on when you open the door, and stays on for about 1 minute after you close the door, or after a cooking cycle is done. I was thrown off by this when i plugged it in and opened the door the first time. I thought i was about to get irradiated and turn into the hulk. 🙂 now that i know what it’s doing, it makes sense. It helps remove humidity and heat.

There is no good reason for microwaves to have fancy controls. The single dial soft-clicks in 15 second increments. Heating is even, despite no rotating platter — stop and turn it in the middle if you like. It’s the apple of microwaves.

BELLA 13993 Dots Collection Programmable Slow Cooker – Excellent Quality & Pretty to boot!

My daughter bought this for christmas and it works perfectly. After the timer goes off it keeps the food warm for three hours. Perfect for those who hate standing over a stove after a long day of work.

This is an awesome little crock pot super quality and the color is fabulous. Here are the specifications for the BELLA 13993 Dots Collection Programmable Slow Cooker:

  • Make sure this fits
    by entering your model number.
  • 30 Minutes to 20 Hours Countdown Timer
  • Off/low/high/warm temperature settings
  • Stoneware pot and tempered glass lid are dishwasher safe
  • Large 5QT capacity fits various sized meals
  • 1 year limited warranty

It kind of stains easily but otherwise cooks perfectly.

My daughter has used this cooker and loves it. She also loves the color, her favorite. She is setting up housekeeping and really loves all the purple items she has received. She will use this quite often as she used ours a lot when here.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Pretty and functional one minor flaw
  • Excellent Quality & Pretty to boot!
  • meat came out great tasting with a nice consistency

I was deciding between the blue and the pink. Glad i got the pink, it’s like a deep orchid. It’s a nice big crock pot, will easily hold a nice size roast or a bunch of meatballs for a party. Nice and heavy, not a cheap, flimsy crock pot. It is programmable, you just have to read the directions on how to set it, although you can’t go from high to low, etc you have to stay at one temp. As long as my dinner’s done when i come home, that’s all that matters to me. Nice product, very happy with purchase so far.

I love that the crock pot turns to warm after it’s done cooking. Doesn’t seem to get too hot, that was the problem with my last crock pot. The reason i didn’t give it a five was because the lid doesn’t fit perfectly. But overall functionality seems good –and it’s cute :).

Nice looking slow cooker that performs as expected. It loses one star for me because you can’t actually program it to switch to a different heating mode after the set time period. You can just set the cooking time on either low or high – so programming is limited compared to others. The fact that you can keep this one out on the counter without feeling like its another eye soar sets it apart for me. I can deal with the programing.

Timer is fantastic and the color is yummy.

This is very attractive and i love the digital mechanism, however, it cooks slower than most crockpots. I understand it is a slow cooker, but you have to plan accordingly. Also, it does not cut off it goes down to the war mode.

I love the programmable type, they really make life easier.

I have had it now since the fall and it has been a great cooker. I have made several delicious meals and the color is perfect to match all of my green accessories. Arrived quickly after placing my order.

All three handles (2 side, 1 lid) are plastic and are off-color, but that is the only thing that i can see is wrong with it.

Simple, easy to use and functional. Don’t get caught up with all the fancy features – this one works and works well.

I like how it has a timer and when it reaches 0 it goes to the warm setting. Have used it twice now and am very happy with it. I have the matchingtoaster and coffee maker by bella and love them all.

Best crockpot i have ever used.

The meat i make in this crockpot comes out so soft and tender. I love that i can just throw dinner in it and do what i have to do for the day. My first meal in this crockpot was apple butter pork chops with sliced apples and it was amazing. The pork chops were so tender.

When i ordered this, i was told it was on backorder; i was okay with that because i wanted it either way (cuz of the color. ) it came a week later and its beautiful 😉 i absolutely could not be happier with this product.

Works great but is not programmable. You can set the timer and it will go to off, not warm which is what i was looking for. I should’ve read the review first.:) overall, it will do the trick.

Love this crockpot; especially the color; however, i did think that you could program the timer to an exact time that you wanted it to come on and go off. I guess maybe i was expecting a little too much.

Had this for a little over a year now and it is wonderful. I use the heck out of it and it has held up great, it is programmable in that you can set it for a certain time and then it reverts to warm after that.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Great for smaller families or parties
  • Great crock pots

Love this versatile slow cooker. Worked wonders at the office thanksgiving potluck dinner. Kept food at perfect temp for the entire dinner. Coworkers all want one ,used it to keep hot dogs, chili and quaestor warm for granddaughter’s 2nd birthday party. It’s light enough to transport full.

Gift for daughter and she loves it.

Work out pefect, great idea for a party, get lots of complements on it i have no complants at all great product just the dealivery was slow but we had a bad ice storm.

This was a gift for my son and family. They really use it a lot and think it is great.

My sister owns an ice cream parlor. She uses it for different hot flavors. So far they are perfect for the job. Well made and presents itself well.

I have owned the red bella triple crock pot cooker for a year now. It made the holidays last year so nice. Everything was hot and ready when the family showed up. They served themselves and had many compliments about the pretty red cooker. Since then i have enjoyed making dinners in it. For nacho night i serve up beans, meat, and cheese in the pots. If i ever do have to purchase another, this will be the one i will happily purchase again.

We’ve had this one for about 5 years and it is simply a great little cooker. We can cook carnitas, beans, and queso all at once. Or we can slow cook two versions of the same dish- one spicy for me, and one mild for the missus and kids. When this thing kicks the bucket, i hope i can find one just like it.

Very happy with this purchase.

Great idea, but this unit does not keep food warm – more tepid than warm – and those lid holders are cheap looking and do not fit in place.

My brother has one and he has borrowed mine for a large party. I used mine for a dessert bar for a pot luck and it was received unanimously. It is attractive and easy to clean too.

Perfect for holidays or serving 8+ people. I have also seen these used as buffet warmers at hotels to serve breakfast items: eggs, grits, gravy, biscuits, oatmeal, breakfast meats. I have used for serving hot dips as well as buffet items: green bean casserole, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes. I love that the crocs can be washed in the dishwasher and stored in the refrigerator. I also like the lid holding feature. Word of warning, put down a dish towel if serving on a nice wooden buffet to keep condensation drips and sloppy servers from damaging your buffet. Lastly, it stores well in the box.

Everyone ii gave them to loved them.

I can do 3 dishes for a party- dips, chili, etc. Or try out 3 new crockpot recipes without having a huge amount of an unpopular new recipe. I can do a main dish and two sides and keep them warm after cooking. Easy to clean and the lid holder is convenient. Only shortcoming is that the electrical cord is short, so you have to use it near an outlet which might not be so convenient for a party.

I have to agree with others who complain about the plastic smell this gives off. I followed directions and turned it on with water in the bowls before using. The instructions said a smell was normal in the beginning, but would stop after about half an hour. I kept it on for several hours, and the smell never diminished. I also tested it on the lowest setting. The smell wasn’t too bad, but the water did not maintain a food-safe temperature. I’m giving the product 3 stars because i didn’t buy it to cook food, but to keep food warm through a party. At the middle setting, it didn’t smell too bad (the smell of the food masked it), and the food held at a safe temperature for the duration of the gathering, so for my purposes, it was acceptable.

Great for our gatherings we have.

I love this gorgeous triple crockpot.

Keurig B145 OfficePRO Brewing System – a workhorse of coffee brewers

It brews great-tasting coffee (whether using our favorite k-cups or the compatible eco-filter that we purchased for our own coffee grounds), and is very user friendly. The ‘de scale’ feature that alerts to you needed cleaning and the ability to change brew strength are great features. After 6 months of daily use, our keurig b145 began to leak out the bottom back of the unit and brew 1/2 instead of full cups. I immediately unplugged it and called keurig and discovered there is no troubleshooting for this particular issue. It was deemed defective, and under my 12 month warranty they sent me a new replacement unit within 10 days. All i had to do was mail proof of ownership to them. Our replacement unit has been working splendidly with no problems. Because of the excellent customer service and the stellar performance from our new unit, i’m chalking my first purchase up to a fluke (every once in a while a defective unit slips through).

Keurig machines are an addiction. The issue with the keurig machines is that they clog and burnt frequently. The addictive part becomes a problem when your cabinet is full of kcups and you cannot imagine going back to a regular brewing coffee maker with filters and messy grinds and pots of coffee growing stale in the morning. After trying several machines from the expensive upscale models to the cheapest smaller model we were tired of knowing we would need to be purchasing a new machine each year. (this can be an expensive addiction. )after reading several reviews we settled on this machine and could not be happier. This is our favorite maker yet. The best part of this machine is the ability to drain the internal water mechanism. We move every two years and it wasn’t possible to completely get the water out of the other machines. This machine stopped working after 3 months, but we were able to drain the water, unclog the necessary areas and the machine is as good as new.

This upgrade over one of the ‘original’ models has the same footprint, reservoir and basic settings. The obvious changes are the addition of a third (small) cup size using a knob to select and push to start brewing, and a purge feature that empties water already passed the reservoir and inside the unit. When i moved our ‘old’ model to my office i realized that there was no way to purge it, so this is a logical feature. Also, my wife thought it was ‘pretty’ compared to the ‘old’ model (which was all black). The smallest serving comes out like espresso. Our latin friends use it, and it’s growing on me too. Those are pretty much the exterior changes. Inside there is something else going on because the sounds are different – seemed louder at first but the tradeoff is there’s none of that ‘desperate gurgling’ we used to hear. Not that either is annoying. I’ll update the review if we have any issues down the line, but we’re happy with the purchase.

Hubby read reviews and recommends and we felt this one would be one of the better at ‘holding up’. It allows one to brew choice of 4, 6, or 8 oz. Cup, therefore also allowing for how strong the coffee is. Nice to alsoput in a large amount of water without having to fill each time. It does take a couple minutes to heat the water thefirst thing in morning, but much faster after that first cup. Be aware, too, that while it is an excellent machine, it alsohas a larger footprint than the smaller ones where one just lifts the lid and pours in a cup of water.

These brewers are workhorses. This machine is heavily used daily with no real issues. I didn’t give it 5 stars for one reason. The cup selector has to be fiddled on the 6 oz size. Also when i finally get it to the 6 cup setting and push brew,it jumps back to 8. I use the 6 & 8 to fill a 14 oz cup. Other than that it’s a great machine. One thing worth noting, the office version of keurig gets 15 degrees hotter and 4 seconds faster than the home versions.

I wouldn’t say its large enough for an office because i feel like i’m forever adding water to it just at home with my family of 3, but it works great. I have read reviews about it being loud. It is a little noisy, but not enough to bother me or anyone in my home. My grandson sleeps on the sofa when he visits which is 20 feet from my keurig and the noise has never woken him.

  • Works Great
  • a workhorse of coffee brewers
  • Very pleased so far

As others have said this is louder than the normal ‘home’ version. Most of the noise from mine was actually coming from where the water reservoir side touches the main part of the machine. I put a few pieces of the soft side of velcro tape on the reservoir and lid so the plastic couldn’t rattle against the main body, this got rid of most of the noise. It is now barely louder than my old home version was when it was working (and much quieter when the motor was going out on my old one). If they had done something like this from the factory it would be an easy 5/5 stars.

I studied the keurig machines and others for over 2 months before deciding on this one. My main fear on the keurig was the unbelievable amount of bad reviews for the water pumps failing. Their home systems (especially the platinum) seem to be plagued with this issue, yet this unit and most of the other commercial units appear immune. The downside to going with the commercial unit is they are not compatible with the ‘my k-cup’. There is a solutionmy experience:i purchased a b145 from the local staples for $129. I unwrapped my new beauty and filled it full of water per the instructions. My heart sank as the just out of the box unit would not prime. I figured i must be doing something wrong and called keurig. They confirmed the unit was defective. Not happy, but i thought i would give it one more go. I took it back to staples, who happily exchanged the item. The unit works great and i have had no other issues in the month of ownership. Use of filtered or bottled water highly recommended to extend the unit service life. Unit has a 1 year warranty from keurig so i am very happy with my purchase so far. Those who complained about the noise surprised me a bit. It does hum and buzz a bit i admit.

My first thought when the pump starts up is the catch phrase from the fictional show: tool time. The unit was drop shipped by keurig and. It turned out to be the k145. So if you’re expecting a b145, prepare to be disappointed. Keurig stopped making them 2 years ago. Keurig would like you to think that k and b are merely designation change, but pressed will admit different production cycles with continuous ‘improvements’. Published figures suggest 4% lower satisfaction with the k145. Maybe within the error of data, and maybe not.

Oster 20-Cup Rice Cooker – Four Stars

This product is not as good as the first one i had for 11 yrs, this rice cooker constantly burns the rice, and if you cook vegetables it also burns the food. I am very dissatisfied, and would not recommend this rice cooker to anyone.

Frankly i was surprised to see that oster is still selling this model. Usually companies refresh their product line every few years. We bought this rice cooker about 5 years ago. It is simple to operate and makes a lot of rice at a time. As others have noted, it will brown the bottom of the rice if left on ‘warm’ once cooking is complete. We pull the plug once the rice is done to keep this from happening. You can tell that the cooker is finished when the switch makes an audible ‘click’ and the operation light changes from red to orange. We always make the same amount of rice, about 7 – 8 cups, using a ratio of 7 cups of water to 4 cups of rice. We originally used the plastic measuring cup that came with the cooker, but that became tedious so we just weighed the ingredients and now pour the rice and water into the teflon pot over a scale. 1lb 2 3/4 oz of rice and 2lb 5 oz of water.

I got this rice cooker as a gift last christmas, and have been using it 2 times a week for the whole year with no problems. Jasmine rice, and it turns out perfectly every time. I did give a four star rather than a five because if you leave it on warm for more than 20 minutes the bottom of the rice can burn- i make just enough for dinner- serve it, then unplug it to keep any little extra warm enough for seconds. Super easy- one of the best gifts i’ve gotton. Now that i know i will use it, i might save up for a nicer one, but this is a great starter rice cooker to buy to make sure you will use it. Here are the specifications for the Oster 20-Cup Rice Cooker:

  • Make sure this fits
    by entering your model number.
  • 20-cup rice cooker cooks both brown and white rice as well as a variety of other foods
  • Easy, one-touch operation: start cooking with a single button push
  • Automatic keep warm setting keeps food at optimal serving temperature
  • Locking lid forms an airtight seal and stays cool to the touch
  • Inner pot is removable for quick cleanup
  • Note: 20 cups of cooked rice and 10 cups of uncooked rice

A little bi9t of sticking and rice not completely cooked at times but i think she’s grtting better.

I gave a five star rating because i love this product. I wore my old one out because we used it so much. I recommend this product to everybody who loves rice as much as my family does.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • makes enough for us
  • This is a great product. It does exactly what it’s designed to
  • This product is not as good as the first one I had for 11 yrs

An asian family gave this rice cooker to us as a gift (they use the same model for their own use) and it works wonderfully. I’ve used it once or twice a week for several years and with consistent results throughout. I’d recommend this product to anyone who enjoys authentic asian ‘sticky’ rice.

Our family loves this rice cooker and would have given it five stars if it wasn’t for the fact that this was to replace the one that shorted out. These units seem to last for about a year based on use before something goes wrong with it. I gave this four stars simply for the fact that we use ours almost every day and that is a lot of use for a small unit like this.

I got this model in 2005 still have it today. It has never burned my rice. Although with its age the non stick pot does not keep the rice from sticking. I would say i cook 25lbs of rice a year, maybe a little more. So i have no complaints about the one i got. I can’t explain the problems others are having with theirs. Maybe the company’s quality control isn’t what it use to be, but the nine years of service mine has givin me makes me a fan and i am bummed that the newer reviews are so negative.

I am kind of shocked to see the other reviews on this. I have had mine for over 10 years now and use it 2 or 3 times a week. It still cooks perfect rice every single time. My mom got a really fancy one for christmas by another maker, and it is worthless. I have tried to cook with hers and it takes hours. My rice is ready quickly and perfectly every time. I am buying her this one and telling her to toss the other one.

We make alot of sushi and it does the rice perfectly. We also use it for everyday rice quite often. I’ve never had a problem of it burning my rice so long as i don’t leave it on ‘warm’ to long. I’ve had it for over a year and have never had any problems. If you are looking for an inexpensive rice cooker that still does a decent job, this is the one to use.

We keep buying the same oster rice cooker every 2-3 years. . We use it everyday, so it does wear out. If you leave it on warm for too long, then it will form a crust at the bottom, but it comes off very easily. After awhile, sometimes it under cooks the rice, but if left on warm, it will cook thoroughly. Overall, we have found this rice cooker very useful and dependable. We love the rice that it cooks.

Tends to burn on the bottom but the steamer is greati.

This rice cooker has no fancy feature but it has worked well for us. We bought ours from macy over three years ago. The non-stick coating is beginning to wear thin. But that is not surprising since we use it every single day. We use the measuring cup that comes with it to measure the rice (good quality chinese, japanese, or korean rice, no uncle ben) and put in water according to the marking in the pot. We get good rice every time. It is true that if we leave it at ‘warm’ for a while, a thick hard crust would form at the bottom. But for us, we usually unplug it as soon as it finishes cooking so this rarely happens. When it does, we would take whatever above it and pour in half a cup of water. The crust comes off easily after 15 minutes or so and it is still pretty good for eating.

It does exactly what it’s designed to do. My first unit lasted around 20 years and finally it passed away; the lever to turn on the cooker broke. So i bought a new one and look forward to another 20 years of perfect rice.

When in warming, it tends to make some parts of the rice mushy so i pull the plug.

Nice but don’t close completely.

I have had this rice maker for a few years now, and to tell the truth i was about to give up on it because the rice was always overcooked at the bottom of the pan. Then, i read some of the reviews on here and found the simple solution–just immediately unplug the machine when the light goes from red to yellow (from cooking to warm). I did that and got a perfect pot of rice in about 25 minutes or so. I am so glad i gave it another shot.

This has to be one of the best rice cookers we have ever owned. It cooks a pot of rice in about half the time and when always is perfect. I would recommend this cooker for anyone looking for a quality – reliable cooker.

This item stopped working within 7 months. I owned the exact same one and it worked for years. I would love to have this replaced or return for a fefund.

This rice cooker is awesome i keep buying this particular brand whenever the one i own goes bad.

When it comes to rice cookers, the more basic they are it seems, the better they are. We had a zujurioshi one and the rice would go bad in about a day even if you cleaned the lid everytime. The oster is usually good for about 2 days at max. Still a much better buy and for a lot less money.
